Evgeniy Fomich Molevich turned 90 years old on the 25th of April 2021. He is an extraordinary man whose biography is a reflection of an entire era in the history of our country. The purpose of this article is to introduce the reader to human qualities and the main stages of life path, as well as scientific interests of a well-known scientist. There have been analyzed his sociological concept of the three-pronged structure of the modern sociological knowledge; the characteristic aspects of the approach regarding the labor activity analysis and its structure; the labor concept in a post-industrial society; the prospects for the construction of a modern society as a new social and information reality. Moreover, there has been make an emphasis on the applied aspects of E.F. Molevichs activities as the organizer of the sociological laboratory (1969), the director of the Research Institute of Social Technologies of Samara University (1995-2009) and the head of Sociology and Political Science Department. Conclusions concerning the reasons for widespread recognition in the scientific environment and successes in teaching and social activities have been drawn.

For those of us who enjoy history, the publication of Bremner's two volumes on the history of children and youth in America' provides enormous satisfaction and pleasure. And yet the skeptic of Santayana says, "But how does that help solve our current problems in social policy?" Featherstone in a review of these volumes gives at least one answer. In the coming post-industrial society the major tension, he says, will be between the present dominant economic view and what others believe will be the greater emphasis on social goals. The history of children and the family "is more deeply rooted in American life than entrepreneurial, economic values. In the coming battles over national priorities and a new social policy, children and their families may be more important as symbols of social values than ever." Reading the history of children may guide us more surely toward these social goals.

Abstract:This article uses concepts from sociology, history, and philosophy to explore the shifting relationship between moral values and business in the Western world. We examine the historical roots and intellectual underpinnings of two major business-society paradigms in ideal-type terms. In pre-industrial Western society, we argue that business activity was linked to society’s values of morality (the moral unity paradigm)—for good or for ill. With the rise of industrialism, we contend that business was freed from moral constraints by the alleged “invisible hand” of efficient markets (the amoral theory of business). Armed with this understanding of the intellectual history of the moral unity and amoral business-society paradigms, we suggest that some variant of the moral unity paradigm may be recurring in post-industrial society.

Social types, or types of persons, occupy a curious place in the history of sociology. There has never been any agreement on how they should be used, or what their import is. Yet the problems surrounding their use are instructive, symptomatic of key ambivalences at the heart of the sociological enterprise. These include a tension between theories of social order that privilege the division of labour and those that focus on large-scale cultural complexes; a tension between the analysis of society in terms of social groups and an acknowledgement of modern individualism; sociology’s location somewhere between literature and science; and sociology’s awkward response to the claim – made by both Catholic conservatives and Marxists – that modern industrial and post-industrial society cannot be a society of estates. These ambivalences may help to explain why the attempts to use social types for the purpose of cultural diagnosis – from the interesting portrait of arbitrarily selected positions in the division of labour to more ambitious guesswork about modern culture’s dominant ‘characters’ – have been unconvincing.

Strikes are like certain bitter-sweet varities of sin. However frequently and violently they are denounced and however painful the consequences to those who indulge, they continue to flourish. V. L. Allen noted this curious role of strikes in industrial society some time ago. “Strikes,” he wrote,take place within a hostile environment even though they are a common every-day phenomenon. They are conventionally described as industrially subversive, irresponsible, unfair, against the interests of the community, contrary to the workers' best interests, wasteful of resources, crudely aggressive, inconsistent with democracy and, in any event, unnecessary.Strikes have become so common in modern society that they seem to be a normal part of the social landscape. This is perhaps one reason why historians have tended to ignore them and their history. Upon reflection, it is indeed surprising how little attention the history of industrial conflict has received from historians. Of course, certain dramatic events, like the General Strike of 1926 or the London dock strike of 1889, are relatively well chronicled, but even these are sorely under-analyzed. There are not even competent narratives of other episodes, like the explosion of militancy just after the First World War; and we know still less about the persistent dynamics of strikes throughout British industry. In this respect, historians lag well behind other social scientists who have been studying industrial strife for many years, but whose work is unfortunately limited by their frankly ahistorical or even anti-historical approach. It is time for historians to remedy this deficiency, and this essay is intended as a first, very small effort in that direction.

The article considers various theoretical and methodological concepts of the evolution of industrial and labor relations as the basis for the socio-economic development of society. From the point of view of the history of industrial revolutions, theories of socio-economic formations and information (post-industrial) society, the essential characteristics of industrial and labor relations and the stages of their transformation were revealed. It is shown that the systematic formation of industrial and labor relations began in close relationship with social and labor relations during the period of industrialization of the economy. It is justified that, most conceptually, the further periodization of their development is represented by a civilizational approach, according to which the change of paradigms is carried out not at the expense of social, but at the expense of scientific and technical revolutions. The global digitalization of labor processes has led to the individualization of industrial and labor relations, their intellectualization, and the transition to remote forms of personnel work. The contradictions of the conceptual provisions of industrial and labor relations revealed during the study lead to the need for further theoretical and methodological justification of their internal content.

The article discusses theoretical background and empirical premises for supplementing the goals of education with orientation to individual actor as the “assemblage point” of the educational result in a constantly changing reality. The article has an interdisciplinary modus, its theoretical basis is the D. Bell’s concepts of the post-industrial society, the “liquid modernity” of Z. Bauman and the idea of C.S. Dweck about the ability of personality’s sets “plants for growth” or “for granted” to influence intellect and achievement of goals. The work proceeds from the understanding of the fact that the “spreading” state of education is due to the specifics of the transition to some post-state of the society that is not yet clear. It is characterized by the fundamental ambiguity of circumstances and tendencies when centralized management of complex systems is difficult or erroneous, and this makes it necessary to reduce the level of decision making to self-organizing local social forms, giving them greater autonomy, in this case – to an individual and his autonomy. However, in our culture we have a lack of confidence to the individual and his ability to make wise choices, as well as, wittingly or unwittingly, reduce the setting for growth and primacy. But if students are offered well-organized research practices instead of imitations of scientific work, then they form the true key competencies necessary for modern society – a willingness to be in search, continuously learn and create new solutions for new tasks, contribute to the development of good conceptual language, cooperation in group work, courage in posing problems, readiness to work with complex problems. The article presents a kind of a case analysis of such work. The article also poses the problem of exploiting the cognitive status and well-being of teachers in super-formalized labor practices.

The article discusses the specifics of current convergent development of information (IT) and social technologies (ST) and their socialization as well as defines the characteristic features of ST implemented on a digital platform. The authors analyze the reasons for the increasing demand for ST and explicate their role in post-industrial society. The authors believe that the boom of ST over the recent decades is associated with the need to transform “vertical” management practices toward distributed and maximally individualized usage. The network communication format in modern society, established due to IT development, is correlated with “soft” social design technologies, which provide not just subordination and discipline, but highly motivated work, initiative, emotional involvement, and creativity. At the same time, personal boundaries, which have become the most important component of psychological well-being for a modern person, are quite permeable to the combined impact of ST and IT. The “capitalization of human capital” in the information age has obtained quite a literal meaning because individual knowledge, skills, and initiative become the main resource and competitive base in digital economy. Using the example of Agile, one of the leading practices in modern IT industry, the authors analyzed the specifics of work organization of compact creative groups. The article reveals the ethical aspects of using convergent information and social technologies. The authors conclude that the task of countering destructive influences from ST on the information platform is relevant and even urgent. However, the society has yet to formulate humanistic guidelines for constructive socio-technological design practices.

The purpose of the article consists of the study of the activity of skansen in the intangible cultural heritage system. The methodology is the application of historical, bibliographic, and analytical methods. The scientific novelty of the work is to justify the appropriateness and application of the new concept of tourism activity of scans in the system of intangible cultural heritage. Conclusions. Features of the development of tourism in a post-industrial society influenced the conceptual approaches to the museum topes, which first broadcast chronological meaning, but with the proliferation of skansen museums was beyond the phenomenological limits of time and space. The proliferation of scansions as interactive open-air exhibits became a reflection of changes in the cultural and socio-economic life of modern society. The trends in the development of active consumerism in the social and economic spheres, globalization processes, the growth of cultural and creative industries have identified new areas of activity for museums - skansens, which transformed from museums that showed ethnographic collections in the space of the formation of a new cultural being.

Сегодня невозможно представить нашу жизнь без внедрения цифровых технологий в различные сферы жизнедеятельности человека. Современное общество стремительно входит в эпоху киберсоциализации, где меняется не только потребностно-мотивационная сфера человека, но и структура самосознания личности. Данная статья посвящена изучению вопроса цифровой социализации с опорой на принцип системности и учета многомерности данного процесса. В ходе сбора информации по структуре цифровой социализации не было найдено общего определения данного явления, однако в статье предпринимается попытка выделить структуру цифровой социализации в современном обществе, которая необходима для дальнейшего изучения процесса цифровизации как современного гражданского общества в целом, так и образовательного процесса в частности. Особенности постиндустриального общественного строя предполагают трансформацию взглядов на структуру социализации современного человека, в чем и заключается злободневность выделения структуры цифровой социализации. В заключение проведенного анализа литературных источников, касающихся вопроса цифровизации, выделяются основные компоненты процесса цифровой социализации, которые будут пригодны в современном образовательном процессе. Таким образом, результаты научной статьи могут быть полезны в процессе дальнейшего исследования явлений цифровизации современного постиндустриального общества во всех сферах жизнедеятельности человека. Today it is impossible to imagine our life without the introduction of digital technologies in various spheres of human activity. Modern society is rapidly entering the era of cybersocialization, where not only the need-motivational sphere of a person is changing, but also the structure of self-consciousness of the individual. This article is devoted to the study of the issue of digital socialization based on the principle of consistency and taking into account the multidimensionality of this process. In the process of collecting information on the structure of digital socialization, no definition of the structure of digital socialization was found, however, the article attempts to highlight the structure of digital socialization in modern society, which is necessary for further study of the digitalization process of both modern civil society in general and the educational process in particular. This paper pays attention to the analysis of scientific works devoted to the study of the digitalization process, in which researchers express their point of view on the phenomena of digital socialization in the modern information space. Thus, the results of the scientific article can be useful in the process of further research of the phenomena of digitalization of modern post-industrial society in all spheres of human activity.
