The study was intended to examine practices of Perception of Teachers and Students for Guidance and Counseling services in South west Ethiopia Secondary Schools. The research design was a descriptive survey research. The total participants of study were 500 and among total participants 108 were teachers and 394 were students. The study was used Multi stage sampling techniques. At first stage among 78 secondary school in south west Ethiopia, 8 secondary schools were selected by random sampling techniques using lottery methods. On the second stage 392 students and 108 teachers were selected by systematic sampling techniques. The instruments of data collection was Likert scale closed-ended self- administered questionnaire used and validation of the instruments was done by using experts' review and discussion. The study was used quantitative methods of data analysis. The analysis of data   was done using descriptive statistical measurements like, percentage, mean, standard division, and independent t-test were computed to analysis the response from students, and teachers. The results of study indicated that the students and teachers mean perception scores to needs of guidance and counseling for students learning was positive.  The perceptions of both students and teachers to ward school guidance and counseling services working on students future career, personal problems and students empowerments and decision making was negative. The computed independent t-test result revealed that there was no statistical significant difference between students and teachers means perception scores guidance and counseling services which was implies both teachers and students had the same perception for services of guidance and counseling in their schools. The mean perception of the students toward the non trained individuals could be of guidance and counselor officers were average while perception teachers were negative. Regarding to cost effectiveness of guidance and counseling services both students and teacher’s perception means score were negative. From these results it was recommended that  Since perceptions of students and teachers may affected based on the guidance and counseling survives; Education bureau in collaboration with higher educational institutions should prepare on job training to improve counseling skills of the guidance and counselors officers.

The purpose of the study was to determine the perceptions of students of the influence of guidance and counseling services on academic performance in Baringo County, Kenya. The objectives of the study were to: investigate the perception of students on the various guidance and counseling services and determine the perceptions of students on the influence of guidance and counseling on academic performance. The study was guided by the self-perception theory. The ontology was constructivist. The epistemology was interpretivist. The research method was qualitative. The research design was phenomenology. Samples of 12 secondary schools, 130 students, 12 teachers were selected. Focus Group Discussion (FDG) and interview guides were used to generate data. The data was thematically analyzed. The study major findings were; that students perceived guidance and counseling services positively and that they had contributed significantly to their academic performance. The study recommends that there is need to further develop and strengthen guidance and counseling in Baringo County Secondary Schools and develop a theory to guide this process, informed by increased cases of indiscipline and truancy among students.

This article contains a description of tolerance in students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Cimahi. The method used is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. Data collection using tolerance instruments. The research sample consisted of 120 students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Cimahi and 64 students identified who were affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah religious organizations. The results of this study are first that the tolerance of students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Cimahi is in the high category. Second, profiles of the aspect of tolerance consist of aspects of equality, respect for differences, and peace. Third, the results of the t-test indicate that there is no significant difference in the tolerance of students who are affiliated with the religious organizations of Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah. The results of this study can be used as consideration for developing peace counseling and developing multicultural guidance and counseling program in Madrasah.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference of cardiovascular endurance between secondary school soccer players and handball players. The study adopted ex-post facto design. The subjects were selected among soccer and handball players at one of the secondary schools. A total of 60 subjects were selected, 30 soccer players and 30 handball players. All subjects aged between 13 and 15 years old. The test used to test cardiovascular endurance was 12 minute Cooper Run Test. T-test was used to determine whether there is a significant difference between the cardiovascular endurance of the soccer players and handball players. The results of the study showed that there was no significant difference t(-1.65)=58, P>0.05 between soccer players (M = 2235; SD = 180.44) and handball players (M = 2307.83; SD = 160.19). Although there was no significant difference, the players from both teams still have good cardiovascular endurance fitness.

The major purpose of this study was to investigate “Relationship between Teachers Classroom Management Skills and Students Academic Achievements at Secondary level districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” All government secondary schools of southern district were constituting the population of the study and all teachers and students of the secondary schools were also included in the population of the study. From each district, eight schools were selected as a sample from which four schools were male and four schools were female. From each school, five teachers and 20 students were selected as a sample or respondents in this way 280 teachers and 1120 students were selected as a sample of the study. The sample of the study was finalized by using the John Curry formula. The collected data was entered into SPSS version 23 for treatment. According to the nature of the objectives of the study T. Test, Pearsons correlation was used.

The purpose of this study was to examine the practices and challenges of guidance and counseling services in southwest Ethiopia secondary schools with the intention of understanding the state of secondary school guidance and counseling and forward improvement options to student service. The study employs a descriptive survey design that involves quantitative and qualitative research methods. The study participants were 392 students and 108 teachers who were selected from the secondary schools of southwest Ethiopia by systematic random sampling. Moreover, 8 counselors, 8 principals, and 8 educational bureau officers were selected by a means of availability sampling.  The data for the study were collected by the administration of questionnaires and the use of oral interviews. The quantitative data were analyzed using the frequency of student visits to guidance and counseling office and mean perception score on practices of guidance and counseling. The qualitative data were analyzed using the thematic analysis method with a focus on the major challenges of guidance and counseling services in the sampled schools. The result of the study showed that the majority of secondary school students never visit guidance and counseling offices. The mean perception score of students and teachers towards the usefulness of the service was positive though the provision was either very much limited or most of the time unavailable. The services of guidance and counseling are also influenced by several challenges such as the lack of professionally trained counselors and the required facilities. The researchers conclude the implication of guidance and counseling service and the associated challenges to considerably influence secondary school student learning and personal wellbeing.

The problem of poor quality in education has been traced to a number of causes, which include socio-economic factors, teacher-related factors, inadequate learning materials, and the short and congested school curriculum, among others. With this result, it is therefore imperative to organize remediation programs in low performing schools to address the needs of the learners to achieve desired learning outcomes and to enhance faculty’s teaching competence. The study determined the remedial teaching practices employed by secondary school teachers in both public and private schools in Northern Samar. It also found out the difference between the extent of remedial teaching practices as perceived by the teachers and students and if there was a significant difference between the extent of practices of public and private secondary schools in Northern Samar. The descriptive-comparative method was utilized in the study using a researcher-made survey questionnaire as the primary instrument. The study was conducted in twenty (20) public and private secondary schools in Northern Samar selected based on the results of the National Achievement Test (NAT) from 2010 to 2011. Frequency counts, percentages, and weighted mean computations were used to analyze the data obtained. The t-test was used to test the difference between the extent of remedial teaching practices as perceived by the secondary teachers and students and the difference in the extent of remedial teaching practices among public and private secondary schools in Northern Samar. The remedial teaching practices of the secondary school teachers were rated “extensive” by both teachers and students. There was a significant difference between the perceptions of the secondary school teachers and the students on the extent of remedial teaching practices but there was no significant difference between the extent of remedial teaching practices of the public and the private secondary schools in Northern Samar.

The purpose of the study was to investigate school administrators and teachers identification mechanism of students with behavioral problems in secondary schools. The research method was descriptive survey method and quantitative research design was used. The researcher used both primary and secondary data as a source. The primary data was gathered through questionnaire while the secondary sources were from written documents. Study populations were school administers (school principals, vice school principals and unit leaders) and teachers of secondary school of south west Ethiopia. The sampling technique used to draw sample from study population was multi stage random sampling technique. First stage 5 zones in south western Ethiopia were selected. On the second stage, from each zones 3 woredas/twon and one secondary school in each woredas were selected. The schools administers of selected schools were selected by purposive sampling and teachers were selected by random sampling techniques. All school administers of selected secondary schools 45 schools administers (school principals, vice school principals and unit leaders) selected purposively and 420 teachers selected by simple random sampling techniques. The instruments of data collection were Likert scale closed-ended self- administered questionnaire for teachers and school administers.To check the reliability of instrument pilot testing was conducted on 30 individuals. Cronbach alpha calculated result showed that reliability coefficient was 0.83. Validation of the instruments was done by using experts' review and discussion. Based on experts comments irrelevant items were discarded and some ambiguous items were modified. The current study was used quantitative methods of data analysis. The analysis of data was done using percentage, mean and standard division while analysis of qualitative data was done by thematic analysis methods. The result of the study indicated both teachers and school administers were not used standardized tools to identify student’s behavioral problem. The mean scores of teachers (M= 3.40 with Sd 1.24) and school administers (M= 4.10 with Sd=1.01) agreed that most of the time they identify students behavioral problems by office discipline and/or classroom minor behavioral records and attendance the methods. In addition, both teachers and school administers reported that they identified students behavioral problems based on information get from peers, other staff teachers and parents. Both teachers and school administers perceived that internalized behavioral problems such  initiation of aggressive behaviors, harassments, lack of empathy and externalized behavioral problems external behavioral problems such as frequent absences from school or poor performance in school, exhibits persistent patterns of stealing and lying. From these results, it was recommended that to reduce student’s behavioral problems the researcher recommended that the school principals, teachers and other stakeholders should set some sorts of rules and regulations specific to the school with the active involvement of the students, in addition to the rules and the regulations of the country.

Online learning is one of education methods that uses internet access and technological devices as a medium of communication between teachers and students. The teacher can use online learning during a pandemic that requires students and teachers to do physical distancing or during the industrial revolution 4.0 that implements technology in various fields of life. Online learning has several advantages and disadvantages, especially concerning the student conditions and learning effectiveness. This research was a literature review of the teacher’s strategy to achieve successful online learning. Teachers need to develop strategies for successful online learning. Teachers can use audio-visual show to attract students' interests, not give too many assignments, and provide contextual tasks that are relevant to students’ daily life. Guidance and counseling teachers can carry out preventive services in collaboration with school principals and teachers to collect data of students who do not have access to technology devices. The teacher also could conduct online group discussions to increase students’ interaction and reduce boredom learning. Furthermore, the teacher could implement curative services through online counseling services to overcome problems in online learning.

Guidance and Counseling is a service that all human beings need at one point of their life. There is no human being that has never got a problem at one point or another. This study focused on the assessment of perception of guidance and Counseling services among educational stakeholders in selected secondary schools in Oyo State, Nigeria. Descriptive research design of ex-post-facto type was used in the study. Simple and purposive sampling techniques were used in sampling 300 participants from 10 local government areas (50 schools) in Oyo state. The respondents were measured with validated scale of 0.91 reliability coefficient and the data obtained was analyzed using simple percentage statistical analysis. Three (3) research questions were raised and answered. The results showed that school administrators, teacher and parents (educational stakeholders) had negative perception of guidance and Counseling services. In view of these findings, the study recommended that educational stakeholders need guidance in order to understand and appreciate guidance and Counseling services and that parents should be made to realize that the times are fast changing and that they have to gradually change from the old ways so as to change positively to guidance and Counseling services.
