Introduction. The climatic factors affect the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract contacting with the environment. The investigation of pulmonary ventilation plays a leading role in the diagnosis of bronchial obstruction in response to an external stimulus. Material and methods. The study included a healthy population of the city and patients with chronic catarrhal nonobstructive bronchitis (CCNB), controlled and uncontrolled asthma (131 people). The respiratory function (RF) was estimated by spirography and body plethysmography. Meteorological conditions were evaluated from the point of view of contrasting weather changes (on the survey day, on 1st and 2nd days before the survey). The degree of the climatic impact on RF was determined by the statistical module “Discriminant analysis”, used to a group of RF indices relatively adverse levels of impact of the monsoon climate. Results. The low level of the responsiveness in a healthy urban population was identified. The negative impact of climatic indices on the respiratory system in CCNB patients was observed mainly in extreme weather conditions. The influence of climatic conditions on patients with asthma depends on the level of the disease control. Discussion. The influence of climatic conditions was found to be within the adaptive and compensatory responses in a group of healthy people and CCNB patients. We assumed the use of basic drugs in patients with asthma without signs of bronchial obstruction to reduce the susceptibility of the receptors of the bronchi to the negative climatic impact. The greatest negative RF response to the impact of monsoon climate manifested both in static and in dynamic weather conditions, was observed in patients with uncontrolled asthma. It was associated with the impaired pulmonary ventilation. Conclusion. The results indicate the Far East monsoon climate to be an important risk factor for the exacerbation in patients with respiratory diseases.

Aim. To study the comparative characteristics of the causative significant factors involved in the bronchial obstruction development in children with bronchial asthma and recurrent obstructive bronchitis.Methods. A cross-sectional (transversal) study of 50 children with bronchial asthma, 38 children with recurrent obstructive bronchitis was conducted. The differences and similarities of etiopathogenetic factors of the bronchial obstruction occurrence were revealed. According to medical history, in all patients regardless of the severity and duration of the disease at the time of examination, the impact of the factors, acting as triggers of bronchial asthma, according to patients, such as infectious agents, infectious allergens and aeroallergens, nighttime, climatic conditions deterioration, physical and/or emotional stress, was registered.Results. The main triggers that influence the bronchial obstruction occurrence in children with asthma were infectious factors impact, allergens and aeroallergens, and in patients with recurrent obstructive bronchitis more important in the bronchial obstruction development were infectious agents and weather conditions worsening (high humidity, fog, rain). However, unlike the other factors involved in the bronchial obstruction development in asthma, nighttime, allergens and aeroallergens did not have significant impact on the bronchial obstruction occurrence in children with recurrent obstructive bronchitis. In both groups, physical stress (jogging, gymnastics) and emotional stress (loud laugh, crying) contributed to the bronchial obstruction syndrome development with the corresponding clinical picture, but in the second group of children with recurrent obstructive bronchitis duration of cough lasted 2 times less (1-1,5 h) than in children with bronchial asthma (over 3 hours).Conclusion. Conducted comparative characteristics showed that there is a clear link with the trigger mechanisms of bronchial obstruction occurrence in bronchial asthma and recurrent obstructive bronchitis, and triggers, regardless of the severity and duration of disease, have the same effect on the recurrent obstructive bronchitis outcome.

The ongoing climate change requires a quantitative assessment of the impact of weather conditions on the nature and livelihoods of the population. However, to date, the concept of “climate risk” has not been finally defined, and the corresponding terminology is not universally recognized. One manifestation of climate change is an increase in climate variability and extremeness in many regions. At the same time, modern statistics indicate growing worldwide damage from dangerous weather and climate events. The most widely used in climate services is the concept of “Vulnerability index”, which reflects a combination (with or without weighing) of several indicators that indicate the potential damage that climate change can cause to a particular sector of the economy. development of adaptation measures to ensure sustainable development of territories. The main criterion for the vulnerability of the territory from the point of view of meteorological parameters is the extremeness of the basic values: daily air temperature, daily precipitation, maximum wind speed. To fully take into account the possible impacts of extreme climatic conditions on the region’s economy, it is necessary to detail the weather and climate risks taking into account the entire observation network, since significant differences in quantitative assessment are possible. The obtained average regional values of the climate vulnerability indices for the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation provide 150 points for the winter period, 330 points for the summer season, which indicates the prevalence of extreme weather conditions in the warm season. Most of the territory has a relative influence on climatic phenomena, with the exception of the East and the Southeast Region. Moreover, the eastern part of the region is the most vulnerable in climatic terms.

In this article, the results of research on the cultivation of patty pan squash in the climatic conditions of Uzbekistan, Planting for different periods and its growth, development, yield, as well as the impact of weather conditions were presented. Squash is a one-year plant of the family of zucchini, mainly shrub, rarely found in the form of a whip. The results showed that average yield of “White-13” control was 16 tons/ha, and it was 17 tons/ha in “Solnyshko”. Furthermore, “NLO White” and “Umberall” had a high yield compared to the other varieties and hybrids, accounted for 15 tons/ha and 15.1 tons/ha, respectively. The highest average temperature during seed germination was found in 16 august, which was 30.3°C, whereas the lowest average temperature was 18.6°C in 1st April. The results showed that 4 days were required to reach 10% of seed germination in the period April 16 and May 1, however, 10% of seed germination in July 1 and 16th took 6 days. Furthermore, the least days for 75% of seed, germination was observed in the period of May 1, accounted for 8 days, and the rest of the period was the same.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to study the relationship between tourism and climate change and, hence, to understand the impact of climate change on tourist destinations. Design/methodology/approach A conceptual analysis of secondary data was extracted and analyzed. The framework and policy implications for the study were obtained from online secondary data and by interaction with representatives of a state authority. Findings The findings from the study show that the impact of climate change on tourism is likely to manifest itself in a number of different ways according to local conditions. Climate and weather are connected with tourism and recreational activities. The paper shows the importance of climate for tourism because climate itself is an attraction. Climate and weather are among the most important attributes to influence tourist decision-making. Changing the climate and weather conditions of any destination may affect the tourists’ comfort and travel decisions, and due to the changing demand pattern and tourist flows, tourism businesses and host communities suffer. Cancellation of any trip due to bad weather causes dissatisfaction and those affected may avoid visiting the destination again. Temperature is also one of the most important climate variables in the analysis of tourism demands as it affects comfort. Originality/value This original piece of work suggests that climatic conditions control destination choice and this influences the tourism demands for a given destination.

According to current researches, it is found that people living in uncomfortable climatic conditions combined with anthropogenic pressure leads to intensive use and depletion of adaptive reserves of the human organism. At the present stage there are scientific data about adaptive reactions of individual age -, sex and constitutional groups of children in the North of Tyumen. However, to date there is insufficient information on the assessment of the morpho-functional and psycho-physiological status of the organism Northern children born and living in conditions of Middle Ob region. The organism of children and adolescents, due to the incompleteness of the morpho-functional development, as well as the immaturity of a number of regulatory mechanisms and high lability, is most sensitive to the impact of environmental factors, can cause destabilization of homeostasis. Identify patterns of development of the child and functioning of its physiological systems at different stages of ontogenesis is necessary for the decision of problems of preservation of health of the younger generation. In this paper the authors examined the behavior of the state vector of vegetative nervous system in children during the winter by six diagnostic parameters. The differential increase in quasi-attractors subjects in different weather conditions was proved.

The chemical composition and nutritional value of alfalfa hay are influenced by: climatic conditions, soils, phase of development in the period of mowing mass, variety, technology of cultivation and harvesting, etc. Hay harvesting is associated with high nutrient losses due to leaf loss and inflorescence or significant energy consumption for artificial drying. Mechanical losses often exceed 40% or more, with more than half of them occurring in the field operations: mowing, flattening, stirring, raking and weight gain. The question of the impact of the multiplicity of technological operations on the processing of the roll by elastic working bodies when harvesting hay from alfalfa on the chemical composition has not been sufficiently studied, which was the purpose of the research.Field technological experiments were carried out on pure crops of alfalfa of the blue Vinnychanka variety in different weather conditions. The results obtained by us in the field technological experiments show that the multiplicity of cultivation of the roll in the process of harvesting alfalfa for hay and weather conditions to some extent affect its quality and nutrient content in it. Thus, the protein content in the initial mass (first experiment) was 15.61, in the hay prepared without the use of roll processing - 13.43, using a single treatment - 14.81, twice - 13.69 and three times 13.65% in dry matter.According to the results of the research, it was found that the hay harvested using single roll processing had the highest carotene content in natural mass - 32.4 mg / kg in the first and 30.4 mg / kg in the second experiments.No significant difference in the variants of experiments was observed in the content of ash and minerals, calcium and phosphorus. By all indicators of nutrient content, the technology of hay harvesting with the use of one-time processing of the roll per day was the best.

Understanding a definite geographic context is essential for effective air transport management. To date, the consequences of changing weather conditions and climate on the transportation sector in Ghana has been grievous to the economy of the country. Unfortunately, the impact of climate change on the aviation industry has received very little attention in Ghanaian literature. Meanwhile, it is widely known that transport systems on the whole perform poorly under adverse weather and climatic conditions. This paper seeks to reflect a growing orientation in research and philosophy in the field of air transport and severe weather and climatic constraints. Understanding under-lying principles of climatic conditions and weather is essential to air navigation in Ghana. Clear air turbulence, ceiling and visibility, thunderstorms, electrical phenomenon, climate-induced seasonal variations, and vegetation are some of the threats to air transport across Ghana's airspace. Information is derived from literature surveys, workplace counts, and an aviation researcher. Overall, large information technology investments, consolidation, and re-structuring are all major issues that must be addressed by stakeholders ambitious to stay afloat and competitive in Ghana's airspace.

Abstract. The relationships between aerosol optical depth (AOD), cloud cover (CC), and cloud top pressure (CTP) over three major urban clusters in China are studied under different sea level pressure (SLP) and water vapor (WV) regimes using a decade (2003–2013) of MODIS satellite-retrieved data. Over all urban clusters, for all SLP regimes, CC is found to increase with AOD, thus pointing out that the CC dependence on AOD cannot be explained by synoptic covariation, as approximated by SLP, alone. WV is found to have a stronger impact on CC than AOD. This impact is more pronounced at high aerosol load than at low aerosol load. Hence, studies of AOD–CC relationships, based on satellite data, will greatly overestimate the AOD impact on CC in regions where AOD and WV have similar seasonal variations, while they will probably underestimate the AOD impact in regions where AOD and WV have opposite seasonal variations. Further, this impact shows that the hydrological cycle interferes with the aerosol climatic impact and we need to improve our understanding of this interference. Our results also suggest that studies attributing CTP long-term changes to changes in aerosol load might have a WV bias.

Abstract The effect of climate on the evolution of tick populations remains difficult to disentangle from other possible causes and undoubtedly varies depending on the region concerned and local tick species. Large-scale, long-term monitoring is, therefore, necessary to accurately assess climatic impact on tick populations. Climate change can alter tick populations, either indirectly by affecting vertebrate host populations or directly by increasing or decreasing their numbers. These ectoparasites, and in particular hard ticks, spend almost their entire life cycle in the external environment, thus climatic conditions influence their activity, viability and distribution. This expert opinion aims to illustrate the impact of climate change, and its association with other variables, on the distribution and abundance of tick populations in Europe using Ixodes ricinus and Hyalomma marginatum as typical examples of endemic and invasive species, respectively.
