The comprehensive study was carried out in one of the gimnasias in Kazan to analyze both dynamics of air in class room during a day and behavior of schoolchildren in case of development of droplet infections. The study involved hygienic, microbiological and mass-spectrometer techniques. The increasing of general microbial dissemination of air of class room during school day was established in case of both absences of ventilation and blind-end ventilation with reduction of exposure time. The increase of specific variety of microbiocenoses of air during school day at the expense of opportunistic and pathogenic microflora of upper respiratory ways and skin under violation of ventilation regimen is demonstrated. The behavior of schoolchildren during period of epidemics of influenza and acute respiratory viral infection (self-treatment, refusal of vaccination, wearing of disposable mask, nonobservance of bed rest, etc.) testifies their inadequate sanitary literacy and promotes prevalence of mentioned above infections. The results of studies indicate necessity of sanitary epidemiological control of microflora of air in school classes of educational institution and development of new methodical approaches using modern techniques (sequence analysis, mass-spectrometry) in evaluation of air microbiocenoses in closed premises dictated by increasing effect of this factor of environment to population health, especially children and adolescents and conditioning reinforcement of focusing of preventive activities to decreasing of risks of development of diseases of respiratory system.

The aim of the research was the investigation of prophylactic using the drug «Cycloferon». Influence of Cycloferon on acute respiratory viral infection and flu and on their clinical manifestations as well as on local immunity condition was assessed. We examined 124 children aged from 4 to 18 years. It was revealed that duration of acute respiratory viral infections as well as flu decreased and local immunity of the upper respiratory ways increased considerably in children taking Cycloferon. The abovementioned changes were observed both just after the treatment and in the follow-up period.

The analysis of civilizational pictures of the world through the prism of linguistic universals allows one to reveal the general and the particular in the «human — world» system, which contributes to a more complete understanding of their cultural semantics. Cultural standards vary across civilizations. Their description on the material of multi-structural, genetically heterogeneous languages, civilizations and cultures makes it possible to reveal the common foundations of people's social life despite the fact that their cultural codes are different, often creating the impression of a complete incompatibility of the thinking and behavior of their representatives. Therefore, studies based on the description of fundamentally dissimilar civilizations and cultures, demonstrating the groundlessness of such impressions, are relevant. The article examines cultural and communicative formulae as a reflection of the civilizational pictures of the world. Cultural and communicative formulae (CCF) are defined by the author as the simplest, stable, high-frequency units of culture used at all levels of social and cultural life, which, being a combination of signs, compactly represent the culture in its similarity and difference with other cultures and make it possible to establish a dialogue of cultures in minimum of data involved. CCF provide communication through verbal forms of language, gestures, styles, etc., i.e. through all cultural forms that can be translated into signs of a given culture and are sufficient to have a minimal idea of it. The article examines the CCF using the example of concise verbal forms belonging to folk speech, which include proverbs and sayings, «winged words», precedent phrases that are a component of the civilizational picture of the world. The materials of the article may be of interest for preparation at the higher educational institution in the framework of the fields of «Linguistics», «International relations» and «Culturology».

When the students enter the class room at 8 am. they begin their day with half an hour of silence. Silence in the good, intense way, which signals immersion, practice and contentment. 30 minutes of reading every morning at the start of the school day has meant a great improvement of the reading development amongst Danish students. The outcome is competent and fast readers. Further more the children and young adults maintain their joy of reading and the problem with book droppers is countered. Morning reading is a help to all students: the talented, the weak and the immigrants.

Aim This study was to perform unit cost analysis of managing common illnesses comparing between a primary care unit (PCU) and a community pharmacy. Background PCU is a key point of access for primary care in Thailand. Although a community pharmacy is an ideal setting, it has not been successfully incorporated in Thailand's health service. Common illnesses are encountered everyday by community pharmacists, an appropriate compensation for this service has not been established. Methods A primary care service of one educational institution was a study site. Eight common illnesses were emphasised. Patient visits were observed, prospectively at community pharmacy and retrospectively at PCU, during August to October 2013. Labour and material costs related to management of common illnesses were recorded. Total cost divided by total patient visits determined the unit cost. For the community pharmacy, patients were followed up after 3–14 days of visit to evaluate the effectiveness. Sensitivity analysis was performed by varying direct medical cost at ±10–30%. Findings At the community pharmacy, community pharmacists performed multiple tasks including interviewing and assessing patients, choosing an appropriate treatment and dispensing. Of 9141 visits, 775 (8.5%) with common illnesses were included. Upper respiratory disorder was found the highest 41.9% (325/755). Unit cost of treatment ranged from 54.16 baht (£1.18) for pain to 82.71 baht (£1.80) for skin disorder. Two-thirds of pharmacy visits (77.9%, 539/692) reported complete recovery. Managing common illnesses at the PCU was performed by nurse assistants, nurses, doctors and pharmacists. Of 6701 patient visits to the PCU, 1545 (23.1%) visits were at least one of the eight illnesses. Upper respiratory disorder was the majority, 53.0% (771/1454). Unit cost of treatment ranged from 85.39 baht (£1.86) for eye/ear to 245.93 baht (£5.36) for sexual health. Managing common illness at a community pharmacy shows satisfactory effectiveness with lower unit cost.

Formal class room observation is a very delicate topic in any educational institution. It involves a series of emotions and sentiments that come with the package. In this paper, the researcher will attempt to analyze the factors that affect the process in a relatively significant manner and thereby contribute greatly to the success or failure of the whole process. The researcher will also attempt to explore the various aspects of the process at two tertiary level educational institutions and how they can be controlled in order to maintain the purpose of the process as developmental and constructive rather than a critical, judgmental and/or negative outlook, which eventually defeats the whole idea of classroom observation for performance feedback and growth. The data was collected at two renowned English Language Institutes (ELIs) in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia through an online survey comprising of ten questions including one open-ended question. After analyzing the gathered data, conclusions were formulated and certain suggestive measures were proposed that can benefit the observers to look at the observation process in a better light. It will also help them accomplish the objectives of the process in a more prolific manner and thereby, contribute in achieving a more conscious and thorough professional development of the faculty on the whole.

Abstract The biodiversity of the Neotropics is considerable, but it is likely underestimated owing to gaps in sampling effort and a focus on using morphological features of animals to determine species differences rather than divergence in their mating signals and behavior. Recent multi-trait analyses incorporating morphological, plumage, and vocal data have allowed for more accurate quantification of tropical biodiversity. We present a comprehensive study of morphological features, plumage, and vocalizations of the Neotropical resident Rufous-capped Warbler (Basileuterus rufifrons). This species’ taxonomic status is controversial because the B. r. salvini subspecies is intermediate in plumage coloration between the neighboring B. r. delattrii and B. r. rufifrons subspecies. Using morphological and spectral plumage measurements of field and museum specimens, as well as analyses of vocalizations from field recordings and sound libraries, we compared phenotypes of all 8 currently recognized Rufous-capped Warbler subspecies, with an emphasis on delattrii, rufifrons, and salvini. We found that delattrii and rufifrons differ significantly in morphology and plumage, and that salvini is similar to rufifrons in morphology and some plumage features. Vocalizations fall into 2 distinct groups, delattrii and rufifrons-salvini, which differ in multiple spectro-temporal characteristics with no overlap between them, even among individuals in the delattrii–rufifrons zone of sympatry. Our results therefore suggest that Rufous-capped Warblers comprise 2 distinct groups: Rufous-capped Warblers (B. r. rufifrons and salvini as well as B. r. caudatus, dugesi, and jouyi) and Chestnut-capped Warblers (B. r. delattrii as well as B. r. actuosus and mesochrysus). Future genomic analysis of samples from multiple sites in Mexico and Central America will further refine our assessment of range-wide phenotypic and genetic divergence in this species complex.
