This paper aims to examine the impact of emotional intelligence (EQ), employee empowerment (EE), and cultural intelligence (CQ) on commercial bank employees’ job satisfaction in Bangladesh. For this purpose, a survey questionnaire was developed based on pre-tested constructs. The study used a convenience sampling technique, supplemented by a non-probability sampling method. 200 bank employees were invited to participate in the survey; finally, 130 responses were received as fully complete, with a 65% response rate. Hence, the sample size is n = 130. Cronbach’s alpha value was used to determine the internal consistency of the study constructs. SPSS version 26.0 was used to analyze the correlation test and hypotheses test. The findings show that emotional intelligence (EQ) with a beta (β) value of 0.510 has a statistical and positive effect on bank employees’ job satisfaction. Also, employee empowerment (EE) with a beta value of (β) 0.418 and cultural intelligence (CQ) with a beta (β) of 0.372 were found to be significant predictors of job satisfaction. This indicates that bank managers should utilize EQ and CQ to increase bank employee satisfaction and focus on employee engagement at the workplace. According to the study, if bank employees become more emotionally stable and culturally intelligent at their workplace, they will be more satisfied with their current jobs. Besides, if bank employees are given more opportunities to carry out their job responsibilities, they will be more satisfied with their jobs. The paper outlines several significant implications for commercial bank managers and offers some notable directions for future research.

This study examined the impact of environmental knowledge & awareness of employees on sustainability performance of organization among 173 commercial bank employees in Batticaloa Region of Sri Lanka. It explored environmental knowledge & awareness of employees associated with employee green behaviour and the possible mediating role of employee green behaviour between environmental knowledge & awareness and sustainability performance of organization. Multiple regression analysis demonstrated that the environmental knowledge & awareness of employees were significantly associated with green behaviour among the employees of surveyed banks. It was also established that the association of environmental knowledge & awareness of employees and sustainability performance of the bank is partially mediated by employee green behaviour. This study contributes to fill out the research gaps exist in the area of study to some extent and offers practical implications for the managers of banks to establish efficient and constructive mechanisms and encourage the bank’s staff to implement environmental policies into actions.

This study aims to evaluate the impact of productive microcredit provided by a microfinance institution linked to a commercial bank by examining a sample of 20,628 customers. Academic literature points to the existence of shared specific characteristics amongst successful microcredit programs, including: (a) the use of a solidarity group, also called a joint debtor, (b) strong female participation, (c) a focus on poor regions, and (d) the presence of a loan officer. This article finds that the female variable is associated with increased income for the individual participant. Women began the program with an average sales value less than men, yet their sales grew exponentially at about 10% with each extension of credit.

The study addressed the issue of the quality of financial Shari commercial bank management and the extent of their relationship to the funding of competence, to see how the quality of financial management, and to identify its transparency when granting credit, and to identify the general classification of the bank on CAMELS index of the banking classification. Study the problem in the following questions: Are the financial and credit policies of the bank bank?. It is that the bank actually applied followed in the granting of credit financial procedures? Is bank financing of the bank efficient? Is that the bank applied to all financial regulations and decisions of the Organization of the banking business? The study sought to analyze and test the hypotheses: The bank's reliance on financial analysis to rationalize decisions granting Alaitmat lead to the efficiency of the funding. The Bank’s general classification in term of quality, liquidity adequacy, financial level of default and loan-to deposit ratio are within the good classification. The Chari commercial Bank's performance is good. Used in the study are: descriptive analytical method and the historical approach in addition to the deductive approach. The study reached the following findings: The results of the study that there is a positive relationship between the quality of financial management bank (Shari) commercial financing and efficiency, the bank loans relative to deposits above the industry the desired level standard, the bank in case of default Mali due to the high ratio of non-performing loans and by passed the industry standard, the bank is suffering from an acute shortage of liquidity, causing falter in the bank's operations. The most important recommendations of the study: the need for Shari Commercial Bank to measure and find out the loans to deposits ratio and liquidity of the bank continuously to meet the obligations and withdrawals daily is expected, should the bank not to grant loans only after making sure it fits with deposits and ensure liquidity of the bank to avoid potential financial distress, the need to seek to provide all types of banking services offered by the rest of the workforce in the country's banks.

<p class="PreformattedText">The gloss refers to the problem of the impact of bank employees’ performance on borrowers’ liability for fraud. The author approves the view formulated in the thesis of the Supreme Court that the employees of the injured bank were obliged to exercise special diligence in checking the accuracy of the documents submitted by the accused necessary to obtain a loan. The position taken by the Supreme Court in the commented judgement can be considered as at least a partial departure from the previous jurisprudence of the Supreme Court accepting that the victim’s contribution to the occurrence of fraud is not relevant to the responsibility of the perpetrators. The author, starting from the results of victimological research, accepts the view that the basis of criminal liability for fraud is the complex behaviour of the perpetrator (extraneous) and representatives of the injured bank (intraneus) and their mutual activity. In the last part of the commentary, the author indicates the specific obligations of banks when granting loans. He also emphasizes the inclusion in civil law of the victim’s contribution to damage as a basis for its mitigation.</p>

The study explores the impact of length of service and demographic variables on the organizational role stress on the public sector bank employees. The questionnaire employed in this study is Organisational Role Stress (ORS) scale developed by Prof. Udai Pareek (1983) where the length of service, gender, age, education, number of family members and income are independent variables and Organisational Role Stress (ORS) is the dependent variable. The sample for the study consist of 415 public sector bank employees. Simple random sampling is used as a sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Multiple Regression. The results revealed that length of service, age, education, and income significantly impact the organizational role stress (ORS) on the public sector bank employees.

Purpose Efficiency of a commercial bank affects both its competitiveness and the role it plays in the process of economic development. Although great efforts have been exerted in developing the various aspects of banking efficiency, there seems to be a lack of research on examining the impact of the bank efficiency from the employee wage perspective. The mechanism of how employee wage affects commercial bank efficiency and the relationship between the two were analyzed in this paper. Based on the growing body of research on efficiency in banking, the aim of this paper is to examine if competitiveness of employee wages at any commercial bank has any impact on the bank efficiency score. Design/methodology/approach The method used was quantitative analysis, which was based on comparing the evaluated efficiencies of the banks with employee wages published in the bank reports. The empirical data in this paper were based on 16 Chinese listed commercial banks from 2004 to 2012. The per capita wage of commercial banks was selected as the wage indicator, and the efficiency value obtained by the slack-based measure (SBM) model was selected as the efficiency indicator. According to the calculated data, the Tobit regression model was built to analyze the relationship between employee wage and commercial bank efficiency. Findings The research results show that employee wage is the key variable that influences the efficiency of Chinese commercial banks, and the inverted U-shaped relationship between employee wage and commercial banks efficiency shows up. Practical implications The wage structure data of the composition of basic pay and bonus were not available at the time of conducting the research. Per capita wages were used instead to reflect the employee wage levels of Chinese banks. Originality/value This study can provide some help for the banking industry by analyzing the wage levels from the perspective of efficiency and also further enriches the theoretical system of the relationship between employee wage and bank efficiency.

Quantitative and qualitative job insecurity: associations with job satisfaction and well-being Quantitative and qualitative job insecurity: associations with job satisfaction and well-being Y. De Witte, Gedrag & Organisatie, volume 20, June 2007, nr. 2, pp. 137-159 This study analyses the associations between both quantitative and qualitative job insecurity and job satisfaction and psychological ill-being. We also analyse whether the relationship between job insecurity and psychological ill-being is mediated by job satisfaction. A more subtle and differentiated measurement of qualitative job insecurity is used, in which insecurity is measured regarding four aspects: the job content, working circumstances, working conditions and social relations. Data gathered among Belgian bank employees are used to test the hypotheses. The results show that both quantitative and qualitative job insecurity are negatively associated with job satisfaction and positively associated with psychological ill-being. The relationship between job insecurity and psychological ill-being is only partially mediated by job satisfaction. This signifies that the impact of job insecurity exceeds the boundaries of work, since it exerts an autonomous impact on the psychological well-being of individual workers. Limitations of the research and recommendations for further research are discussed.
