The development of the world of technology has provided many changes in the pattern of human life, including influencing environmental phenomena that have an impact on the way of life of citizens. To prevent environmental destruction. So ecological education is one of the efforts to continue the effort to create citizens who care about the environment with their environmental characteristics. This study aims to examine the ecological competence of elementary school students through civic education in building awareness of the environment. The approach used in this research is qualitative with the literature study method. The results of the analysis and study in this study indicate: 1) the competence of knowledge and ecological strategies of elementary school students is formed through civic education, 2) elementary school students can act on environmental issues, 3) elementary school students have the quality to address environmental issues through civic education. So that the conclusion in this study is that the ecological competence of elementary school students can be formed through civic education, the output of which is that these students have environmental skills and character in utilizing their environment.

This research aimed at designing and improving the web-based integrated peer and self- assessment. WesPASS (web-based peer-assessment system), developed in this research, allows students to assess their own or their peers’ performance and project assignments and to report about the result of these assessments so that they correct their assignments. This study employed design-based research. The participants included 102 fourth grade primary school students and their 4 teachers from 2 state and 2 private primary schools in Ankara, Kecioren (Turkey) who employed the system and were engaged in a questionnaire survey to assess its quality. The findings were analyzed through quantitative data analysis. The findings revealed that the system can be used by elementary school students for peer and self-assessment system. The participants stated that WesPASS is simple and user-friendly, and it accelerates the assessment process by employing information technology and allows to share opinions

This study aimed to determine the age at menarche and its influencing factors and the pattern of menstrual cycles in elementary school students in Medan. Subjects were 227 female students in six primary schools (private and government) in Medan municipal, during October until November 1995. Most students experienced menarche in government primary school (GPS: 35.8%) and private primary school (PPS: 24%), at the age of 10-12 years. The mean age at menarche of these students in government primary school was 11.41 (SD 0.95) years while in private primary school it was 10.65 (SD 0.78) years. Subjects who had had menarche had better nutritional status than who had not (p<0.001). Sports activities are also associated with age at menarche (p<0.001). On the other hand family's economical status and maternal age at menarche were not significantly associated with age at menarche (p>0.05). Most students who had had menarche had regular menstrual cycle; the duration of menarche was 4-6 days for GPS and 3 days for PPS. Dysmenorrhea was a common finding in the first three months of menstruation cycle but gradually diminishing with time. The duration of menstrual cycle was 25-34 days. These findings are useful as a guide for the parents, especially when mothers planning the best time/ the moment to discuss about reproduction and sexual counseling with her daughter.

<p><em>The focus of this research is to describe the role of Tagana in disaster education and the obstacles it faces in providing disaster education for elementary school students. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research was conducted at SDN 2 Wates Ponorogo. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation. Data analysis used the Mile and Huberman analysis model. The results showed that the role of Tagana in disaster education for elementary school students can be seen from the Tagana Goes to School program. The program aims to accelerate the building of students' understanding and preparedness for disasters so as to minimize the impact. In the program, the roles of Tagana are: 1) providing knowledge of the types of disasters to students; 2) providing knowledge of disaster mitigation according to the type of disaster, and 3) conducting disaster mitigation simulations. In this case, disaster education is more focused on earthquake disasters. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced by the Tagana Goes to School team were limited personnel and lack of response from the school. For this reason, additional volunteers must be carried out and disaster preparedness cadres formed in schools, so that the program can run effectively and efficiently.</em></p>

Suicide primary school girls, 2 reporting discourses, and zoning system require that each elementary school has books that attract students and teachers to read them. Negative content and typing errors written in the book will cause different understandings experienced by elementary school students. Elementary school student who have good linguistic intelligence will be easy to memorize and have extensive vocabulary. Elementary school student with high visual-spatial intelligence will be active in the imagination. Books used by primary schools must meet the values and norms applicable in the community. Primary schools are required to evaluate all the books used in primary schools. Sanctions are granted to authors and publishers if any incorrect information is written in the book. Primary school students will think positively or negatively by looking at textbooks. Eligibility of elementary school textbooks is the responsibility of many parties in the field of education even though teachers are an important component that should assess the appropriateness of textbooks.

<p align="justify"><strong>Abstrak:</strong></p><p align="justify">Sikap peduli lingkungan merupakan suatu sikap dan tindakan yang selalu berupaya mencegah kerusakan pada lingkungan di sekitar dan mengembangkan upaya-upaya untuk memperbaiki kerusakan yang terjadi. Melalui sikap peduli lingkungan siswa sekolah dasar tidak sekedar mengetahui pentingnya menjaga lingkungan tetapi juga menguatkan rasa keingintahuan bagaimana cara menjaga lingkungan. Karenanya perlu sebuah model pembelajaran guna mewujudkan terbentuknya sikap peduli lingkungan pada siswa sekolah dasar yaitu menggunakan model pembelajaran <em>discovery learning</em>. Adapun tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep model pembelajaran <em>discovery learning</em> guna membentuk sikap peduli lingkungan pada siswa di sekolah dasar. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode studi literatur. Melalui model pembelajaran <em>discovery learning</em> membuat siswa mampu menggunakan kemampuan intelektualnya guna memecahkan cara menjaga lingkungan sekitarnya.</p><p align="justify"><strong>Kata Kunci: </strong><em>Discovery Learning</em>; Model Pembelajaran; Sikap Peduli Lingkungan.</p><p align="justify"><strong><em><br /></em></strong></p><p align="justify"><strong><em>Abstract:</em></strong></p><p align="justify"><strong><em></em></strong><em>Environmental care is an attitude and action that always seeks to prevent damage to the surrounding environment and develop efforts to repair the damage. Through a caring attitude for the environment, elementary school students do not only know the importance of protecting the environment but also strengthen their curiosity about how to protect the environment. Therefore we need a learning model in order to realize the formation of environmental care attitudes in elementary school students, namely using discovery learning learning model. The purpose of this paper is to describe the concept of discovery learning learning model in order to form a caring attitude towards students in elementary schools. This paper uses a literature study method. Through the discovery learning model, students are able to use their intellectual abilities to solve ways of protecting their surroundings.</em><em>.</em></p><p align="justify"><em></em><strong><em>Keywords: </em></strong><em>Discovery Learning; Learning Model; Environmental Care Attitude.</em></p>

Cases of bullying among elementary school students are high, therefore need to get attention. This study reveals an indication of physical bullying that occurs in elementary students and its implications for moral education according to the guidance of Religion. The method used is survey and literature study with qualitative approach. Participants involved a number of 55 elementary school teachers in the Cirebon region, including districts and cities. The results showed that 1) almost half of the physical bullying indication occurred in primary school with the highest percentage is in punching and pinching behavior, while the smallest percentage of the strangling behavior, 2) moral education can be a therapy to change the bad behavior of physical bullying and can be used as an effort to prevent.

Life in the 21st century requires a variety of skills that an individual must master in order to become a successful person in life. Skills in managing finances are needed. Therefore, the need for financial literacy knowledge is taught early, especially in schools so that it will accumulate into adulthood. This article aimed to explain the importance of financial literacy knowledge for elementary school students in the 21st century. Data collection used observation, literature study, and documentation. Data sources from informants and documents. Data analysis used qualitative data analysis of interactive models. The findings showed that students at elementary schools prefer to buy objects that are desired rather than needed. This shows the importance of financial literacy knowledge for elementary school students. This is supported by the results of a literature study that financial literacy knowledge will be useful in managing students' finances for now and in the future. Therefore, it is expected that the role of the teacher in providing teaching material about financial literacy in accordance with the stages of student development.
