Examines the positive and negative sides of distance education in aspects of quality of education and economic efficiency of the distance learning software that are used in the training for the selected training areas/specialties. In the course of the research conducted by the method of questioning students, it was revealed that at the current time, 69.7% of students have none of the programs they need for further direct training of their profession on their home computers. Considering the provision of students with the software they need to study basic subjects, it was found that 24.5% of students have Microsoft Office 2007 or earlier installed on their personal computers (PCs) or laptops, that is, SOFTWARE that is already considered obsolete. Thus, almost every fourth student, when performing practical, laboratory, course work using a software package for working in the office, experiences difficulties. Thus, almost every fourth student, when performing practical, laboratory, course work using a software package for working in the office, experiences difficulties. Why the computer works even slower and with various failures and failures. Moreover, the specified percentage may also be even higher, since 8.6% of students could not answer what OS they have installed. Studying in the traditional form of training, this lack of hardware and SOFTWARE is eliminated, since in the University’s computer classes, there are PCs that support reliable operation with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2010 and are protected from viruses and attacks by installed and constantly updated antivirus programs. The article reveals the problems that affect the quality of students’ education when switching to distance learning. Namely, the absence or non-compliance of Hardware and SOFTWARE for students’ computers and laptops with modern requirements for Hardware and SOFTWARE for performing teachers’ tasks. The author concludes that when switching to full distance education in technical specialties, the state will lose, according to the most optimistic forecasts, from 19.8 to 69.7% of well-prepared students only because their education does not meet modern requirements.

The object of research is the quality of teaching technical and mathematical disciplines in modern distance education. One of the most problematic areas is communication, dialogue between a teacher and a student, personality problems in the teacher-student dyad, and the effectiveness of feedback. The idea of distance learning, obviously, is that the interaction between teacher and student takes place in a virtual space. The more efficiently this interaction is built by using a variety of techniques, methods, the better a teaching process. Distance teaching is essentially a person-centered form of education. This is a separate modern educational technology that provides a choice for the teacher, the ability to select educational material depending on the information needs of students. In the course of the study, the main possibilities for improving the effectiveness of feedback between the student and the teacher and the forms of implementing such communication were considered. The organizational and pedagogical conditions for the use of the system of certain elements of distance learning in the process of vocational training have been substantiated. Modern information technologies and innovative teaching methods in training specialists are described. It is proposed to use more actively such elements as an interactive whiteboard, interactive processing of students’ statements during a survey, both in the form of tests or a forum, and in the form of a «word cloud». The use of these interactive elements has proven itself in practice. As a tool for objective assessment of the level of feedback, a comparative analysis of statistical data is proposed, which concerns the distribution of marks at the beginning and at the end of the distance learning course. This data can also be interpreted as an indicator of the quality of teaching. In particular, the analysis of school preparation of students for mastering mathematical disciplines in higher education was carried out. Comparative analysis substantiated, in particular, the need for additional classes for students with poor preparation.

Based on the analysis of the concepts of “distance education” and “distance learning”, we proposed components of the quality of the remote education system (availability of educational standards and distance learning programs, high efficiency of remote learning technologies, evaluation of administrative and management decisions on the creation and functioning of the system, degree of regulatory and legal regulation, assessment of the level of technical and resource equipment, personnel readiness to organize and monitor the educational process in digital format) as well as the quality of distance learning (assessment of the content of digital educational content, the degree of innovation of the distance learning course, the effectiveness of feedback pedagogical communication, the degree of student training, the strength of residual knowledge, the effectiveness of digital educational means, the intensity of pedagogical interaction, the level of digital competencies of teachers and the readiness of students for independent educational activities in the digital environment). On the basis of these conditions, we formulated external (administrative, regulatory, material and technical, personnel) and internal (didactic and personal) factors affecting the effectiveness of distance learning. We also specifiedAspects related to internal factors, such as determining the pace of completing a distance course, requirements for academic support, reliance on internal motivation, managing student activity, using tools for measuring learning, substantiating methods of feedback pedagogical communication, studying student satisfaction with a distance course.

The quality of the programmes and courses in ODL depends on the academics that plan the programmes, develop the curriculum, manage courses and programmes and carry out administrative duties. It is observed that the academics often complain of work overload. It also appears there is a mix-up in integrating the mode of planning workload in the conventional universities into the open and distance education universities. This may be attributed to inadequate spread in the duties assigned, which if not checked could affect the quality of teaching and learning. This necessitated the study that was carried out to determine academic workload in NOUN. The findings revealed a gap between academic activities and adequate utilisation of time. Also, inadequate spread of activities affects the quality of the academic inputs. This led to the development of academic workload model to guide the spread of academic activities in open and distance learning.

The purpose of the article is to identify the features of teaching traditional acting techniques within the framework of new technologies and digital communication using the example of acting training in the context of distance education. Methodology. The topic of the article determined the use of an integrated approach using general scientific and theatrical research methods - this made it possible to determine a set of factors that determine the quality of teaching acting training in conditions of distance education. The method of theoretical study of foreign literature on the research problem has been applied; the method of studying and analyzing pedagogical experience; the method of systems analysis, which contributed to the consideration of online learning in the context of theatrical pedagogy as a kind of integrity in the variety of its internal and external connections; typological method, in order to identify the specifics of teaching acting training in the conditions of distance learning, etc. Scientific novelty. Investigated innovative approaches to teaching actors in the context of the use of new technologies in acting training; analyzed the specificity of cognitive, social and educational presence as key elements in the development and implementation of online education in the context of the peculiarities of teaching the skill of an actor; the features of transformation of acting training exercises, associated with tactile sensations, were revealed; it was stated that in the conditions of distance education in acting training, direct contact (touch of the body) can be mediated by means of vibrotactile quality of the voice. Conclusions. Teaching acting training can take on new forms, provided it is conducted in an online format. The study showed that the structure of theater pedagogy in general and teaching of acting training in particular requires a revision of co-presence as an ontological condition for the transfer of tacit knowledge, which has traditionally been in the epistemological structure of theater pedagogy. The shift in emphasis in teaching an actor from traditional to innovative ways is associated with a broad approach to the decentralization of the preliminary epistemological interpretation of the body as its unique and, accordingly, central direction. The biggest challenge for the teacher of acting in the transition to the online format is that this subject is predominantly group-oriented, based on working in physical spaces. Teaching acting training in the context of distance learning requires a holistic understanding of how the digital space works, and acting training, using these limitations, should be initially planned and created taking into account the dynamics of the networked world. When conducting acting training in a digital environment, the lack of contact must be replaced with other sensory sensations. An important aspect in the context of the designated problems is the social aspect, which forms the group dynamics among students. For this aspect, it is advisable to use a number of auxiliary applications, including the social network Facebook (for scheduling and quickly sharing visual materials) and software for web conferencing "Adobe Acrobat Connect".

In many higher education institutions of Ukraine there are centers of distance education, the system of which is based on a number of principles: continuity; democratization; integration; globalization. In the conditions of the declared quarantine connected with the Covid–19 pandemic in the educational process of higher educational institutions and medical in particular distance learning has become especially relevant. The aim is to descriptive the forms and methods of distance learning on the example of microbiology, virology and immunology in TNMU and department of microbiology, virology and immunology ZSMU. Microsoft Office 365 (MS Teams application) and Skype for Business were chosen as the main platforms for the implementation of distance learning at ZSMU for the quarantine period. As a platform for distance education at the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology, TNMU used the capabilities of Moodle. Distance learning at ZSMU and TNMU was carried out according to the schedule drawn up at the beginning of the semester using two forms of education, because this combination best helps to implement and ensure the learning process: online conferences and coverage of all materials on the department’s website. The advantages of distance learning are obvious today. This form of learning has significant potential, because the software capabilities of the Microsoft Office 365 and Moodle platforms allow you to quickly transfer any amount of study material to students with its subsequent storage and permanent access for self-study and repetition, as well as various forms of student knowledge control and documentation of the received marks. For successful distance learning it is very important to choose the optimal form of learning or a combination thereof. However, it cannot completely replace traditional education and necessarily requires practical work, especially when studying disciplines at the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology.
