Aim. To study the influence of deproteinized dialysate from blood of milk-fed calves on the type of exudative discharge and dynamics of inflammatory reaction after hernia repair with plastics of the anterior abdominal wall with hernioendoprosthesis of polypropylene. Materials and Methods. The study involved 59 patients being on stationary treatment in the surgical department of Kursk Regional Clinical Hospital. Patients were hospitalized for the herniation of small or medium dimension. The patients were divided to two groups: the main (n=30) and control (n=29) groups. After endoprosthetics, the patients of the control group were given complex conservative treatment. The patients of the main group, besides standard treatment, were administered deproteinized dialysate from blood of milk-fed calves intravenously in drips 10 ml + 200 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution within 7 days. For cytological examination and determination of the type of cytograms, the traumatic discharge was collected and analyzed using the method of M.F. Kamaev and M.A. Palthsev. Results. Cytomorphometric examination was conducted on the third, fifth and seventh day after endoprosthetics with the aim of studying dynamic changes. Determination of cell composition and also of its changes characteristic of each studied period, was necessary for obtaining further information characterizing inflammatory process in the region of placement of the endoprosthesis. After endoprosthetics in patients who were administered hemodialysate, the inflammatory reaction was less pronounced than in patients who did not receive the preparation. This was associated with a more dynamic change of stages of the inflammatory process. In patients of the main group who received deproteinized dialysate, regenerative type of inflammation first appeared on the fifth day and made 6.9%; by the seventh day the share of patients with the regenerative type rose to 17.5%, while in the patients of the control group no regeneration stage was observed in both periods. Conclusion. Analysis of the efficiency of influence of hemodialysate on the inflammatory reaction in plastics of the anterior abdominal wall with polypropylene endoprosthesis evidences faster course of all stages of inflammation and reduction of its intensity by 10%.

Introduction. The overwhelming number of publications contains only data on the content of individual antioxidants, but not on the overall antioxidant activity of the blood in patients with vibration disease. The aim of the study was to determine the total antioxidant activity of blood serum in patients with vibration disease.Materials and methods. Th e main group consisted of 30 people diagnosed with “Vibration disease” of 1 degree (n=21) and 2 degrees (n=9). Th e control group consisted of 30 clinically healthy men, comparable in age with the main group (p=0.66). Th e total activity of antioxidant systems of blood plasma was evaluated photometrically using the test system “Total antioxidant status-Novo” (“Vector-best”, Russia).Results. The indicator of the total antioxidant status (TAS) was 1,038±0.232 mmol/l in the examined main group, against 1,456±0.225 mmol/l in the examined control group (p<0.000001). Th e coefficient of variation (CV) in patients with vibration disease was 22.35%, 1.45 times higher than in the control group (15.45%). In the main group there was a positive correlation between age and TAS (R=0.525), in the control group there was no such relationship (R=0.095). Th e degree of decrease depended on the severity of vibration disease.Conclusions. 1. The development of vibration disease is accompanied by a decrease in the antioxidant status of blood serum. 2. Th e degree of decrease in the antioxidant status of blood serum correlates with the severity of vibration disease. 3. Reduction of TAS can serve as a pathogenetic justification of the need to include drugs and/or biologically active additives with antioxidant activity in therapy

Purpose of the study: This research examines the emerging tendency of brands utilization and its impacts on the life satisfaction of university students. Methodology: It is a quantitative study where a survey research method has been used, and for data collection, the questionnaire has been prepared. Demographic variables like area, age, gender, qualification, and location are also included. A sample of 385 students was selected by using the proportional allocation method. Statistical analysis for data was done through SPSS software. Researchers used a linear regression analysis test to find out the impacts of brand utilization on the life satisfaction of university students. Principal Findings: The findings of the study show that life satisfaction has a significantly negative correlation with brand utilization. Research also indicates that most purchased items were branded clothing and cosmetic products. Application of the study: This paper will be helpful to understand brand utilization and its impacts on youth’s life satisfaction. Novelty/Originality of this study: To analyze the growing tendency of luxury and brands products, researchers determined to check the impacts of branded products on life satisfaction levels. To examine the impacts of brand utilization, this research focused on four Pakistani universities and the life satisfaction level of students has bees examined.

Vibration disease is one of the leading in the structure of occupational diseases. A more detailed study of the pathogenesis, expanding the possibilities of diagnosis of vibration disease, is necessary. The aim of the study is to determine the diagnostic value of stabilometry, quantitative sensory testing and neuroenergocarting in vibration disease associated with the combined effects of local and general vibration. Materials and methods. Two groups of patients were examined: with the diagnosis of vibration disease associated with the combined effect of local and general vibration – 50 people (age 48.7 ± 3.1 years), not in contact with vibration – 30 people (age 49.1 ± 2.8 years). The study of the equilibrium function, the determination of the level of the constant potential of the brain by 12 standard leads and the determination of temperature and pain sensitivity. Statistical processing of the results was carried out using the software package “Statistica 6.0” (StatSoft Inc., USA). Differences were considered statistically significant at p < 0.05. Results. In vibration disease, the vertical stance of patients is more unstable than in patients with no contact with vibration. In patients with vibration disease, there is a decrease in the threshold of cold sensitivity and an increase in the threshold of thermal sensitivity and thermal pain compared to the control group. According to our data, the increased level of permanent potential in patients with vibration disease is observed in the central (22.7 (12.6; 30.7) mV) and right central (20.4 (11.5; 27.1) mV), also the average level of permanent capacity in this group is increased – 17.1 (8.4; 25.8) mV.Conclusion. The results obtained indicate the involvement of the neurosensory complex united by single thalamic and cortical centers in the pathological process and confirm the diagnostic value of the methods used.

Objective. Patients with stage 5 chronic kidney disease.Study objective. Determination of factors affecting cognitive function in patients with CKD-5.Design and methods. The study included young and middle-aged patients (18 to 60 years old) (n = 40), there is a terminal stage of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Exclusion criteria: history of diseases of the central nervous system, brain injury, episodes of cerebrovascular accident with severity, coronary artery disease, chronic heart failure, pregnancy, abuse of alcohol, refusal to participate in the study. In a previous work, patient examination data were obtained on the Status PF hardware complex. Neurodynamic indicators were estimated, including the determination of the time of a simple visual-motor reaction (MTCM) and a complex visual-motor reaction (MPSM), reaction to a moving object (RDO), memory and attention. Using Spearman’s correlation analysis, we evaluated the impact on cognitive functions of a number of factors, presumably related to neurodynamics. The following factors were selected: age, creatinine level, NSE and S100 proteins, hemoglobin level, Beck’s depression points, indicators of personal and situational anxiety.Results. All patients examined on the Status PF software package had mild cognitive impairment in terms of neurodynamics, attention, and memory. The average positive relationship between the level of depression and various indicators of RDO was established: with RDO_average (ρ = 0.405; p = 0.018), with RDO_total delay (ρ = 0.540; p < 0.001), with RDO_average delay (ρ = 0.421; p = 0.007), as well as weak positive – with CEMR average exposure (ρ = 0.358; p = 0.023). An average positive relationship of creatinine level with RDO_O (ρ = 0.438; p = 0.005) is noted. A weak positive relationship between the level of personal anxiety and RDO_total delay (ρ = 0.334; p = 0.035) was revealed. The average negative relationship between hemoglobin level and RDO_total delay (ρ = –0.535; p < 0.001) was revealed. A weak positive relationship between situational anxiety and SEMR is determined by the number of errors (ρ = 0.364; p = 0.021), as well as a weak negative one with the attention volume (ρ = –0.357; p = 0.024). A weak negative relationship of age with visual memory per word was revealed (ρ = –0.362; p = 0.022).Domain of usage. Outpatient and hospital treatment stages of patients with chronic kidney disease case management
