<p><em>The study aimed to determine the early reading difficulties to first grade students of SDN Argopeni in academic year of 2019/2020, to determine the causal factors of early reading difficulties, and to describe the solutions to overcome early reading difficulties to first grade students of SDN Argopeni in academic year of 2019/2020. It was qualitative research. The subjects were four students of first grade. The results showed that: (1) the early reading difficulties of first grade students were: (a) not able to analyze words into letters, (b) not able to understand letter-sound, (c) not able to arrange words and letters and read word for word; (2) the causal factors of early reading difficulties were: (a) internal factors, (b) external factors; (3) alternative solutions applied by the teachers to overcome the early reading difficulties were: (a) having additional classes, (b) applying interesting media, (c) using the SAS method. It concludes that there are difficulties of early reading, the causal factors, and the teachers have applied the solution to overcome the early reading difficulties.</em></p><p><strong><em><br /></em></strong><em></em></p>

This effectiveness study examined a supplemental reading intervention that may be appropriate as one component of a response-to-intervention (RTI) system. First-grade students in 31 schools who were at risk for reading difficulties were randomly assigned to receive Responsive Reading Instruction (RRI; Denton, 2001; Denton & Hocker, 2006; n = 182) or typical school practice (TSP; n = 40). About 43% of the TSP students received an alternate school-provided supplemental reading intervention. Results indicated that the RRI group had significantly higher outcomes than the TSP group on multiple measures of reading. About 91% of RRI students and 79% of TSP students met word reading criteria for adequate intervention response, but considerably fewer met a fluency benchmark.

<p><span class="s14"><span class="s10">The study aimed to describe the difficulties in solving math word problems a</span><a name="_GoBack"></a><span class="s10">bout statistics encountered by fourth grade students of SD Negeri Munggangsari in academic year of 2020/2021. It was qualitative research with descriptive method. The results indicated that most of the students had difficulties in solving statistics word problems. The difficulties were (a) reading errors, (b) comprehension error, (c) transformation errors, (d) process skill errors, and (e) encoding errors. The internal factors were (a) the students could not find the information in word problems, (b) the students could not read long sentences, (c) the students found difficulty how to convert data, (d) the students found difficulty to understand the problems, (f) the students did not apply steps to solve word problems, and (f) the students were inaccurate in doing word problems. The external factors were (a) the teacher had limited word problem practices, (b) the teacher had limited learning strategy, (c) the teacher had limited learning models, and (d) the teacher had limited interaction to the students.</span><span class="s10"> </span><span class="s10">It concludes that most of the students have difficulties in solving statistics word problems, there are internal and external factors affected the students. The next step is performing solutions that steps applied by the teachers and the students to decline the factors causing difficulties in solving story problems about statistics.</span></span></p><p><span class="s14">Penelitian</span><span class="s14"> ini bertujuan untuk mendespkripsikan kesulitan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika tentang statistika yang dialami oleh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Munggangsari tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan </span><span class="s14">penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa mengalami kesulitan menyelesaikan soal cerita statistika </span><span class="s14">yakni</span><span class="s14">:</span><span class="s14"> </span><span class="s14">(a) </span><span class="s14">kesalahan membaca soal, </span><span class="s14">(b) </span><span class="s14">kesalahan memahami apa yang ditanyakan dalam soal,</span><span class="s14"> (c) </span><span class="s14">kesalahan transformasi,</span><span class="s14"> (d) </span><span class="s14">kesalahan dalam proses, dan </span><span class="s14">(e) </span><span class="s14">kesalahan dalam menuliskan kesimpulan.</span><span class="s14"> </span><span class="s14">T</span><span class="s14">erdapat faktor </span><span class="s14">internal</span><span class="s14">, yakni: (a) siswa tidak mampu mencari informasi yang ada pada soal, (b) siswa belum mampu membaca kalimat panjang, (c) siswa belum mampu mengubah penyajian data, (d) siswa tidak paham dengan apa yang ditanyakan dalam soal, (e) siswa tidak menerapkan langkah-langkah menyelesaikan soal cerita dengan benar dan (f) siswa kurang teliti saat mengerjakan soal, </span><span class="s14">sedangkan</span><span class="s14"> faktor </span><span class="s14">eksternal</span><span class="s14"> </span><span class="s14">yaitu: (a) guru kurang bervariasi dalam memberikan latihan soal cerita, (b) guru kurang kreatif dalam menggunakan strategi pembelajaran, (c) guru kurang inovatif dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran, dan (d) interaksi yang kurang baik antar siswa</span><span class="s14">.</span><span class="s14"> D</span><span class="s14">ari analisis yang dilakukan peneliti, disimpulkan bahwa</span><span class="s14"> sebagian besar</span><span class="s14"> </span><span class="s14">siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Munggangsari mengalami kesulitan menyelesaikan soal cerita statistika, terdapat faktor internal dan eksternal yang mempengaruhi siswa. Langkah selanjutnya </span><span class="s14">yakni memberikan alternatif solusi berupa langkah-langkah yang dapat dilakukan guru maupun siswa untuk mengurangi kesulitan siswa kelas IV SD dalam mengerjakan soal cerita statistika.</span></p>

This study deals with speaking achievement of eighth semester students in English Department of one university in Nusa Tenggara Barat - Indonesia in academic year 2013/2014. The purpose of this study was to find out factors that help students succeed in learning speaking. The method of this research is qualitative research that focuses on case study. The subjects of this study were the eighth semester students who got an A in Speaking I, II and III subjects. Four students were recruited as the research subjects consisting of one female and three males. The data about the students were obtained from the academic databases in the English Department. In collecting the data, semi-structured interviews were conducted. The data, then, were analyzed through some stages namely transcribing data, reducing data, displaying data and drawing conclusion. The result of this study showed that factors contributing to students speaking achievement consist of internal and external factors. The internal factors include motivation and interests, while the external factors involve family, school condition and society.Keywords: success in learning, speaking, case study

The purpose of this study was to determine the internal and external factors in the learning output of D III Accounting students, and what factors have the greatest influence on the output of D III Accounting students at Pamulang University in the 2019/2020 academic year. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, with a sampling technique with a purposive sampling method. The sample in this study were students of D III accounting for the 2019/2020 school year. as many as 63 respondents. The data research technique used was a questionnaire method, with a 1-4 Likert scale measurement. The results of research that have been conducted by researchers from the internal factors that affect the learning output are those related to aspects of interest, motivation and physical health and external factors are the environment and infrastructure. The results of these two factors have moderate criteria with the method (Three-box Method), which means that these two factors have an influence on the output / learning outcomes of D3 Accounting students at Pamulang University.

Abstract This study took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and examined the impact of explicit instruction and fluency practice of letter/sound combinations on reading Amharic letters and words. First grade students at risk for reading difficulties were assigned via stratified random assignment to treatment or control condition. Students in the treatment group received explicit instruction and fluency practice on grade one Amharic letters, two times a week for 18 weeks for 36 sessions. Students in the control condition received typical Amharic reading instruction. Results indicate that students in the treatment condition significantly outperformed students in control on letter sound identification and word reading fluency.

This research was conducted at Al-Baitul Amien Elementary School Jember which aims to answer the problem 1) How is the concept of prophetic education implementation in shaping the character of students at Al-Baitul Amien Elementary School Jember? 2) How is the implementation of prophetic education in shaping the character of students at Al-Baitul Amien Elementary School Jember? 3) How to evaluate the implementation of prophetic education in shaping the character of students at Al-Baitul Amien Elementary School Jember ? The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. The approach used is descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection techniques use interviews, observation, and documentation. And the validity of the data use triangulation of sources and techniques. The results obtained from this study indicate 1) The concept of prophetic education in shaping the character of students at Al-Baitul Amien Elementary School Jember in 2019/2020 school year in the form of the formation of a unique curriculum made based on the mosque's historical values, religious habituation programs and commemoration of Islamic holidays. 2) Implementation of prophetic education in shaping the character of students at Al-Baitul Amien Elementary School Jember 2019/2020 academic year in the form of some activities: Dhuha Prayers, Dhuhur and Ashar prayer Congregational, Habituation of reciting Asmaul Husna, Tahfidz Qur’an. 3) Evaluation obtained from the implementation of prophetic education, is the formation of students' character is influenced by internal factors, from within the students selves and external factors which include the environment and school activities.Keywords : implementation, prophetic education, character Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Dasar Al-Baitul Amien Jember yang bertujuan untuk menjawab permasalahan 1) Bagaimana konsep implementasi pendidikan profetik dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik di Sekolah Dasar Al-Baitul Amien Jember? 2) Bagaimana implementasi pendidikan profetik dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik di Sekolah Dasar Al-Baitul Amien Jember? 3) Bagaimana evaluasi implementasi pendidikan profetik dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik di Sekolah Dasar Al-Baitul Amien Jember?. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Dan keabsahan datanya menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan 1) Konsep pendidikan profetik dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik di Sekolah Dasar Al – Baitul Amien Jember tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 berupa pembentukan kurikulum khas yang dibuat berdasarkan nilai historis masjid, program pembiasaan keagamaan serta peringatan hari besar Islam. 2) Implementasi pendidikan profetik dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik di Sekolah Dasar Al – Baitul Amien Jember tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 berupa kegiatan: Sholat Dhuha, Sholat Dhuhur dan Ashar Berjamaah, Pembiasaan Asmaul Husna, Tahfidz Qur’an. 3) Evaluasi yang diperoleh dari pelaksanaan pendidikan profetik yakni, pembentukan karakter peserta didik dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal yakni dari dalam diri peserta didik dan faktor eksternal yakni meliputi lingkungan dan kegiatan sekolah. There are several factors that affect student learning outcomes. Broadly speaking, it is divided into two, namely endogenous or internal factors and exogenous or external factors. The purpose of this study is to improve digital simulation learning outcomes through the demonstration method for class X students of Islamic Vocational School 1 Blitar City in the 2019/2020 academic year. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which was carried out for 2 cycles. The subjects of this study were students of class X Islamic Vocational School 1 Blitar City for the 2019/2020 academic year, totaling 40 people. The results showed that the application of the demonstration method could improve the learning outcomes of digital simulations in class X Islamic Vocational School 1 Blitar City for the 2019/2020 academic year.

The purpose of this study is to conduct case study on the factors affecting TOEIC pre-test grades of the students of Informatics Engineering in Duta Bangsa University in the academic year of 2019/2020. The respondents are 10 students. The data were obtained by interviewing, questionnaire and collecting the documents from the students TOEIC grades. The data were in the forms of interview transcripts and documents. Then grounded theory was used to analyse the data. The result showed that in terms of internal factors, all of the students have interest in English because they like watching Film from YouTube or cinema with or without subtitle so they motivate to learn English. While from the external factors in terms of family background, six students come from educated family. They encourage their children in learning process. While, four students have parents who works as entrepreneur. They learn English by themselves not because their parents ask them to do. Two students said they won English competition at school. One student said the school really improve his English lesson. Three students have their own community at school. They can sometimes share, chat and talk in English.  While the rest of students did not mention explicitly if school give impact on their English.
