Analytical thinking skills needed for students in solving problems encountered when learning topic are quite difficult and requires analysis of the issue. Learn to use Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) can help optimize student’s analytical thinking skills. Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) involving active students to seek out and study topic that will be taught. Students learn to solve their own problems in groups and cooperate with each other. Nervous system topic requires analysis of the relationship between the constituent organ tissue structure and associate them with the mechanisms and function disorders that occur in the nervous system topic. This study aimed to determine about effect of Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) on student’s analytical thinking in nervous system topic. The research was conducted in SMAN 33 Jakarta on March 2016. The reseach method used was a quasi experiment with Post Test Only Control Group Design. Subjects in this research were XI IPA 3 as experimental class and XI IPA 4 as control class. A total sample of 64 student was selected by simple random sampling technique. The instrumen used analytical thinking test was  essay. Based the calculation, the average value of the test thinking analysis of the experimental class is 84 and the average value of the test thinking analysis of the control class is 82. Based on calculation, prerequisite test analysis data obtained was not normally distributes but homogeneous. The statistical hypothesis with Mann-Whitney test result on accepted null hypothesis at α 0,05. It showed that there was no about effect of Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) on student’s analytical thinking in nervous system topic.

Learning results are influenced by 2 factors; internal and external factors. Method of learning is one of external factors. This study aimed to determine the effect of Hypnoteaching method toward application the cognitive learning outcomes on Nervous System Topic at SMAN 97 Jakarta. The research was conducted in the second semester of Academic Year 2014/2015. The method was a quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. A total sample of 74 students of class XI MIA was selected by simple random sampling technique. This research used a cognitive learning. Test instrument data was analized by analysis of variance of the path of non-parametric Kruskal Wallis. The result showed a significance value 0.07> 0.05 so that it was conclude that Hypnoteaching method had no effect on students cognitive learning outcomes Nervous System Topic.

This study aims to develop of learning package 5E model and analyze the effect of its implementation on the differences in student’s critical thinking and arguing skills. Development process follows R & D model by Dick and Carey. Research design follows pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was tenth graders of SMA 1 Woha Bima. Total population is 350 students from ten class. The sample was selected by simple random sampling technique and 131 students (four class) is obtained. X1 and X2 class are taught using the 5E models, while the X5 and X9 class with EEK models. Expert judgement results meet the criteria for the development of a very good result with an average value of 3.37. The results of experimental studies showed that: there is a difference in students’ critical thinking in the experimental and control group (t = 3,501, p = 0,001).Keywords: 5E Model, Critical Thinking Skills

The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) approach has become an interesting research object. Several studies have proven that the STEM approach has overcome various learning problems. It involves many teaching and learning aspects, either the cognitive, affective, or psychomotor domains, positively affecting the students' learning outcomes. This study aimed to describe the effect of the STEM approach with the Brainstorming method on critical thinking and creative thinking skills of students in physics learning. This study employed quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design. The sampling was done through the simple random sampling technique with a total sample of 60 high school students. The instrument used in this study was an essay test instrument to measure critical thinking and creative thinking skills. The Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) was used as the research hypothesis testing technique. The results showed that the significance score of critical thinking skills was 0.001, and the significance score of creative thinking skills was 0.019. So, it can be concluded that the application of the STEM approach with the Brainstorming method is effective in improving students' critical thinking and creative thinking skills in learning physics, both through multivariate tests and separate tests.

This study aims to determine the effect of PhET-assisted problem solving methods on students' critical thinking skills. This research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest posttest control group design. Sampling was done by simple random sampling technique, namely class XI IPA-1 as the experimental class and XI IPA-2 as the control class. The research was conducted in one of the senior high schools in Central Lombok – West Nusa Tenggara. The data analysis technique used is t-test using SPSS. The result of hypothesis testing is that the t-test value is less than 0.05. These results indicate that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that the PhET-assisted problem solving learning method affects students' critical thinking skills.

This study intended to describe the effectiveness of the GEM-CL learning model selaras Bakar Batu cultural practice on chapter heat and temperature. This type of research was quasi-experiment with pretest and post-test control group design. The study population was all students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Jayapura. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling. The selected classes were XI IPA-3 as an experimental class and class XI IPA-5 as a control class. Data collection instruments were tests based on higher-order thinking skills and questionnaires to collect students’ responses. Data analysis was done by t-test, N-gain, and effect size for data collecting from test data while data from questionnaires were analyzed by descriptive qualitative analysis. It was concluded that the model is effective to apply in physics learning to preserve students’ conceptual understanding and improve students’ higher-order thinking skills. Further study on GEM-CL to other cultural practices and physics chapter in Indonesia would would strengthen this learning model.

The Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic in China is a global health threat, which causes fear, anxiety in receiving the right information according to the mental health needs of society. Teenagers are included in the group who experience the psychological impact of Covid 19 who experience anxiety. Adolescents are more receptive to the use of smartphone applications, health authorities may consider providing psychoeducation and online or smartphone-based psychological interventions. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing Telemental Counseling in Padang city adolescents in 2020. The design used in this study was a Quasi experimental design with a pre and post control group design approach. The sampling technique was Simple Random Sampling with a total sample of 44 people, 22 people in the intervention group and 22 from the control group. This study used the Revised Children's Manifest Anxiety Scale (RCMS) questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using Paired T-Test. The results of this study showed a decrease in the level of anxiety in adolescents in the intervention group, namely the average score of anxiety before being given the application of Telemental counseling in the experimental group was 21.18 and 17.32 afterwards. The results of this statistical test show that there is an effect of providing telemental counseling in the intervention group on reducing anxiety in adolescents in Padang City. The statistical test results obtained p-value = 0.000 (p <0.05).

Environmental pollution is one of the factors that contribute to the decline in male fertility. Lead is one of six air pollutants harmful to the reproductive system. One parameter of infertility in men is an increase in reproductive function observed with decreased morphological abnormalities of spermatozoa. The purpose is to analyze the effect of giving various dosages of Solanum betaceum extract on spermatozoa morphology of mice exposed to lead acetate. This study was true experimental using a randomized post-test only control group design. The total sample was 40 male mice Balb/ C taken by simple random sampling technique. Treatment and maintenance of experimental animals for 35 days. Statistical tests showed there were significant differences with p-value 0.005. Solanum betaceum extract can be used as a protective to improve the normal morphology spermatozoa of mice that exposed to lead acetate.

This research has the background that there are still many students are still lacking in understanding mathematical concepts in students and its effect on student learning outcomes Class XI MA Darul Ulum. Therefore, it requires an approach that can improve learning outcomes, one of which is the approach Open-ended.The purpose is to determine the effect of the open-ended approach to the learning outcomes of students in grade XI MA Darul Ulum Waru.This research is a quantitative type of research True Experimental design and research design posttest control group design. The sampling technique using simple random sampling technique and obtained samples of the class XI IPA 1 as an experimental class and class XI IPA 2 as the control class with the population of all students in grade XI MA Darul Ulum Waru. The data collection technique using the test, observation methods and techniques of data analysis using t-test. From the analysis of the data obtained 2,35and  1,99 then = 2.35 > 1.99 and the average value of the experimental class is higher than the control class, it can be concluded that there is the effect of the open-ended approach to the learning outcomes of students in grade XI MA Darul Ulum Waru.

    The result of observation shows that the students' understanding of physics science subject is still low. Many teachers still use conventional methods. Students just listen and take notes. Therefore, the use of appropriate and varied learning models is expected to help students in understanding a concept. One alternative of physics learning that can help students understand the concept is through pictorial riddle learning method. This pictorial riddle learning method uses a riddle of drawings on a whiteboard, poster or projected from a transparency then the teacher asks questions relating to the riddle. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of the influence of pictorial riddle learning method on the understanding of physics concepts class IX students semester 1 SMP Negeri 2 Painan 2015/2016 academic year. Sampling is done by simple random sampling technique. The research population is all students of class IX SMP Negeri 2 Painan. The sample used is class IX-2 as experiment class and IX-3 as control class. The variable in this research is the students' concept understanding on the magnetism materials, with the experimental control group design pre test post test. Data retrieval is done through the test in the form of free description and analyzed using simple regression analysis, coefficient of determination and test of significance in microsoft excel. The results of data analysis showed the relationship between variables expressed in a simple regression equation Y = 51.99 + 0.4286. The value of correlation coefficient 0,5787 with enough criterion (0,5 <r <0,8) value 0,3348 and coefficient of determination equal to 33,5% and> (3,175> 2,015) at significance level 5%, which mean study pictorial Riddle method effect of 33.5% on the understanding of student physics concepts. Thus it can be concluded that there is a positive influence and quite significant method of learning pictorial riddle on the understanding of students' concepts on magnetism materials.

The purpose of the study was to determine the differences in mathematics learning outcomes and the effectiveness of google classroom-assisted learning in terms of learning styles on students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research used an experimental research method with a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Sampling using a simple random sampling technique. The population of this research is the seventhgrade students of one of the public junior high schools in Sleman. The sample of this study amounted to 54 students consisting of class VII C and VII D. The data collection techniques used in this study were tests and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used in this study were normality test, homogeneity test, similarity test, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study show that: (1) there are differences in learning outcomes in bold learning assisted by google classroom; (2) bold learning assisted by google classroom is more effective in terms of visual learning styles; (3) bold learning assisted by google classroom is not more effective in terms of auditory and kinesthetic learning styles.
