This research is to determine the effect of learning model and critical thinking skills toward mathematics learning achievement of class XI IPA students in senior high school in Gianyar by controlling students’ numeric aptitude. This research used treatment by level 2x2 design and analysis of covariance. The sample was 80 people using multistage random sampling. The results by controlling numeric aptitude are: students learning achievement taught using PAIKEM model is higher than those taught in conventional model. There is an interaction effect between learning model and critical thinking skills toward students’ mathematics achievement. Given high critical thinking skills, students taught using PAIKEM models displayed higher results compared to those in conventional learning who were best in a lower critical thinking skills. Finally, based on the results, it can be recommended to SMA Mathematics teachers to increase students’ Mathematics achievement by using PAIKEM model accurately and to see of students critical thinking skills.

Mathematical Critical thinking is one of  mathematical abilities that must be obtained by students. Critical thinking is one of the high order thinking processes that can make concepts in student knowledge.  Students with critical thinking in mathematics learning mostly do rational activities such as interpreting information based on a particular theoretical framework, linking theory with practice, making claims and justifying it, utilizing data in support of argumentation, making relations or relationships between various ideas, asking questions, evaluating knowledge, predict, describe something, analyze, synthesize, and categorize. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Concept-Based Learning Model on the critical thingking mathematical abilities.The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of Concept-Based Learning Model toward mathematics critical thinking ability. The method used in this research is quasi experiment by Randomize Control Group Post Test Only Design with cluster random sampling technique. Indicators of mathematics critical thinking skills measured in this study include providing simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, making more explanations, and deciding an action. The results showed that the mathematics critical thinking ability of students in the experimental class for the five indicators that being analyze was higher than the ability of students in the control class. A fairly high difference in the indicator showed in give a simple explanation and concluding. and it means that the application of Concept-Based Learning Model significantly influences the  abilities  of students' mathematics critical thinking.

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> This research aimed to find out: (1) which one gives better in mathematics learning achievement, learning model of Think Pair Share (TPS) with Problem Posing, Think Pair Share (TPS) or conventional, (2) which one have better in mathematics learning achievement, students having climbers, campers or quitters of Adversity Quotient, (3) in each learning model, which one have better mathematics learning achievement, students having climbers, campers or quitters of Adversity Quotient, (4) in each student’s level of Adversity Quotient which one gives better in mathematics learning achievement, learning model of TPS with Problem Posing, TPS or conventional. This research was a quasi-experimental research with 3 x 3 factorial design. The population of the research was all students class XI majors group technology, health and agriculture of SMK in Boyolali. The samples were chosen by using stratified cluster random sampling. The instruments that were used to collect the data were the documentation of mathematics achievement, questionnaire of Adversity Quotient and test of mathematics achievement. The technique of analyzing the data was two-ways ANOVA with unbalanced cells. The result of research showed as follows: (1) learning model of TPS with Problem Posing provided better learning achievement than model of TPS and conventional, learning model of TPS provided better learning achievement than conventional, (2) the students having climbers and campers had same achievement, and the students having climbers and campers had better  achievement than those having quitters, (3) in each learning model, the students having climbers and campers had the same achievement, and the students having climbers and campers had better achievement than those having quitters, (4) in each Adversity Quotient, learning model of TPS with Problem Posing provided better learning achievement than TPS and conventional, learning model of TPS provided better learning achievement than conventional.</p><p><strong>Key words: </strong>Think Pair Share (TPS), Problem Posing, and Adversity Quotient (AQ)</p>

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui model pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan smart sticker mampu meningkatkan disposisi matematik dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 40 Semarang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling, diperoleh kelas VIII H sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII E sebagai kelas kontrol. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji proporsi dan uji ketidaksamaan dua rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen mencapai nilai lebih dari 65 dan lebih dari 70% siswa di kelas eksperimen mencapai nilai lebih dari 65. Kemampuan berpikir kritis dan disposisi matematik siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kelas kontrol dan dinyatakan meningkat dibandingkan hasil pretest. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berbantuan Smart Sticker dapat meningkatkan disposisi matematik dan kemampuan berpikir kritis.The purpose of this study was to find out that discovery learning model which is assisted by smart sticker can improve mathematical disposition and critical thinking skills. The method used in this research is quantitative research methods. The population in this study is eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 40 Semarang. Sampling was carried out by cluster random sampling technique, is obtained as an experimental class in eighth grade H and the eighth grade E as a control. Analysis of the data used is the proportion test, and test two average inequality. The result show that the test result of students critical thinking skills experiment class reached a value of more than 65 and more than 70% student in experimental class reached a value of more than 65. Critical thinking skills and mathematical disposition of experiment class better than control class and declared that increased if compared to the pretest. The final conclusion is that discovery learning model which is assisted by smart sticker can improve mathematical disposition and critical thinking skills.

This research is a qualitative research that provides information about mathematics learning in junior and senior high schools with the 7e learning cycle learning model for critical thinking skills. The purpose of this research is to describe critical thinking skills through the 7e learning cycle model. Data analysis techniques use deductive techniques, inductive techniques, and interpretation techniques. The results showed that Learning Cycle 7E learning model at the junior high school level, the indicator determining action was the largest and the lowest indicator was focusing on questions. In the high school level the interpretation indicator was the largest while the lowest was analysis indicators.

One of the objectives of national education is to improve the quality of human resources (HR). Increasing the quality of human resources can be through critical thinking skills in learning achievement and activeness of students. The purpose of this paper is to motivate students to be more active in the learning process and are expected to improve student learning achievement. In Indonesia, education still has constraints related to the quality of education, so the learning process is not optimal and the motivation carried out by teachers and students is still lacking. The learning process in Indonesia is still fairly weak, a lot of the quality of the teacher itself is considered lacking because it still uses conventional methods. Students become passive and do not have the opportunity to express their ideas or ideas. Therefore, the problem needs to be overcome by making changes. One model that can be used as a learning model is Project Based Learning (PjBL). In this learning model the teacher acts as a facilitator. Project Based Learning aims to find problem solving, besides that also so that students learn the concept of how to solve problems and develop critical thinking skills. In learning concepts and critical thinking skills, students work together in their groups to study real problems. However, the Project Based Learning method has weaknesses in terms of time and cost, so it must be modified with Task and Forced Learning Strategies. The application of Task and Forced Learning Strategies aims to improve the quality of learning of students with a high sense of responsibility and discipline on assignments and on time. Task and Forced Learning Strategies also do not require a lot of time and money so that they can complement the Project Based learning (PjBl) method. Learning by applying this learning model is expected to make students become more disciplined, active and able to develop their creativity. This article succeeded in formulating the Project Based Learning learning model modified with Task and Forced Learning Strategies.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pembelajaran dengan model Problem Solving Fisika (PSF) terhadap prestasi belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siswa kelas X MIA di SMAN 4 Kaur. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain nonequivalent control group design untuk meneliti pengaruh model PSF terhadap prestasi belajar dan one group pretest posttest design untuk meneliti pengaruh model PSF terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas X MIA 1 berjumlah 31 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MIA 2 berjumlah 31 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes prestasi belajar dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Berdasarkan analisis data menggunakan uji-T dua sampel independen menunjukkan bahwa 1) tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pembelajaran dengan model PSF terhadap prestasi belajar dengan nilai < yaitu (1,23< 2,00), dengan effect size sebesar 0,32 yang berada dalam kategori rendah.  2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pembelajaran dengan model PSF terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis diketahui dengan adanya selisih antara skor rata-rata posttest dengan skor rata-rata pretest  sebesar 36,78, dengan effect size sebesar 3,21, yang berada dalam kategori kuat. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pembelajaran menggunakan model Problem Solving Fisika terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas X SMAN 4 Kaur dan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X SMAN 4 Kaur.  Kata Kunci: Model Problem Solving Fisika, prestasi belajar, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis ABSTRACTThis study aimed to examine the effect of learning used the Problem Solving Fisika (PSF) learning Model on the learning achievement and critical thinking Skills of students of SMAN 4 Kaur. This research used nonequivalent control group design to examine the effect of the PSF learning model on learning achievement and one group pretest posttest design to examine the effect of the PSF learning model on Critical Thinking Skills. Samples in this research were taken by using purposive sampling. Data analysis which used the T-test two independent samples showed that 1) there was no significant effect of learning with the PSF learning model on the learning achievement with a value that was tcount<ttable (1.23 <2.00), with effect size of 0,31 which were in the low category. 2) there was a significant effect of learning with the PSF model on critical thinking skills known by the difference between the average Posttest score and average Pretest score (O2-O1) of 36,78, with effect size of 3,21, meant that the Problem Solving Fisika learning model had an effect of  98% and was in the High category. The conclusion of this study shows that there is no significant effect of learning using the Problem Solving Fisika learning model on the learning achievement and a significant effect of learning using the Problem Solving Fisika learning model on thecritical thinking skills.Keywords: Model Problem Solving fisika, learning achievements, critical thinking ability
