<em>This study seeks to investigate news content on environmental protests in the Indian newspapers. A quantitative designed based on content analysis was adopted in this research. This study used two English dailies i.e., The Hindu and The New Indian Express and two Telugu dailies i.e., Eenadu and Vaartha were taken for analysis. It is not a random sample. In this a purposive sample method was adopted and analyzed 365 issues of each newspaper. Selection of time period was one year i.e., 1<sup>st</sup> January, 2002 to 31<sup>st</sup> December, 2002 were analyzed for daily reportage and space allocation and unit of analysis published. Keeping in view 10 environmental protests have been mainly identified for this research. All data collected were analyzed using simple descriptive statistics. Statistical techniques as chi-square, ANOVA, mean, median, SD etc. have been used for analysis.</em>

<p>India, consisting of 16 percent of world population subsists only on 2.4 percent land resources.  Agriculture is the only source of livelihood to the two third of the population which gives employment to 57 percent of the workforce. Agriculture in India is often regarded as gambling with monsoons, because of its almost exclusive dependency on precipitation from monsoons. The failure of monsoons leading to a series of droughts, lack of better prices, exploitation by middlemen, and Gene Modified (GM) seed companies who are selling expensive cotton seeds and fertilizers, all of which have led to a series of suicides committed by farmers across India. Farmers' suicides are a complex phenomenon. Since the 1990s farmer suicides in India have made headlines.  The journalist   Palagummi Sainath highlighted that 17,500 farmers were suicides between 2002 to 2006. The government figures show 14,000 farmers took their own lives in 2011. The total number of farmers’ suicides crossed 3 lakh mark till in 2014.  That most suicides occurred in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and Punjab. This study seeks to investigate news items on farmers’ suicides in the Indian newspapers. A quantitative content analysis was adopted in this research. This study used two English dailies i.e. The Hindu and The New Indian Express and two Telugu dailies i.e. Eenadu and Andhrajyothi were taken for analysis. It is not a random sample.  In this, a purposive sample method was adopted. The selection time period was one year i.e. from January 1, 2015, to December 31, 2015. Keeping in view ten subject categories have been mainly identified for this research. All the data collected were analyzed simple percentage and mean, standard deviation, ANOVA, Chi-square have been used for analysis. </p>

<p>A 22-year-old youth, a native of Andhra Pradesh, who had converted to Islam and allegedly joined the Islamic State terror group taking an oath to carry out subversive activities in the country at the instigation of a Mumbai-based IS sympathiser, was arrested by the Hyderabad police on July 24, 2017.This stunning incident shocked  the public and police officials. It shows that ISIS impact on Indian youth. This incident inspired the researchers to do research on coverage of ISIS by Indian Newspapers. The rise of ISIS in 2014, in this reason the researchers selected the August 1<sup>st</sup> to December 31, in 2014 (5 months’ time period) for the content analysis.  In this research the researchers selected four Indian newspapers two from English (The Hindu and The Times of India) two from Telugu (Andrajyothi and Prajasakthi).It is not a random sample, it is a purposive sample. The coverage shows the intensity of ISIS activities. This study focused on investigating frames employed when covering ISIS and terrorism-related events in Indian newspapers. All data collected were analysed using simple descriptive statistics. Statistical techniques as chi- square and co – efficient of imbalance have been used for analysis.</p>

Abstract This study analyses 98 Internet pages of sea ports located in Sweden, Finland and Estonia during years 2017–2019. Aim of the study is to find, how website basic design is completed (colours and languages), how slogans, environmental issues, statistics and hinterland transports are reported. Based on the analysis, it appears as rather common that sea ports follow conservative selection of colours in their websites, where blue and white are clearly most popular. Typically, English and Swedish are as the most common used language, followed by Finnish, Russian and Estonian. In some rare cases, websites are offered in Chinese or German. Larger sea ports do have clear “slogans”, where smaller ones are just having lengthy justification for their existence. Environmental issues are increasing concern among sea ports, and these are mostly mentioned in details within Swedish actors. Providing statistics varies among companies, and in some sea ports these are provided from very long time period, where in others from just previous years or then only from last year (or even at all). It is common for companies to report that they have sustainable hinterland access, railway available.

This present study analyzes the role played by the media during the controversy between Government of Pakistan and its Supreme Court in 2012. This study is particularly focused on the issues pertinent to the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) case. It employed content analysis as research study and quantitatively examined the columns in the Pakistani newspapers; including, Dawn and Daily Jang for the one year time period in the year 2012. A conflicting relationship has been found between the government and judiciary concerning the National reconciliation ordinance (NRO). It was concluded that Dawn and Daily Jang, both newspapers, follow the same agenda about the NRO issue as both of these newspapers offered negative coverage of this issue. Compared to Jang, Dawn was more inclined to the negative framing of judiciary, and Jang was inclined to the negative reporting of government performance. Hence, the Pakistani Print media has framed the issues negatively between the government and the judiciary. Frequent negative slants were observed in Urdu newspaper as compared to English newspaper.

This paper is focused on the financial situation of enterprises introducing safeguard procedure (in other words moratorium) in the Czech Republic. The paper’s aim is to show if the enterprises asking for the safeguard procedure do have financial conditions for recovering and maintaining the going concern principle. The safeguard procedure should help the enterprise to solve their problematic situation because it protects them against creditors for the court approved time period. The safeguard procedure cannot be successful when the financial situation is extremely poor and therefore this paper analyses the enterprises’ financial situation upon applying for safeguard. The situation is evaluated using bankruptcy models, such as Altman Z-Score, Kralicek Quick Test, IN 99 and IN05. The evaluation is conducted in different time moments, specifically one year, two years and three years before implementing the safeguard procedure. Results for the individual enterprises are summed up by basic descriptive statistics as mean, median, low and upper quartiles. The results show that the financial situation of most enterprises was very poor before introducing the safeguard procedure and it had deteriorated during the years before.

BACKGROUND Little filtered cigar (LFC) marketing has often blurred the line between cigar and cigarette, and little is known about LFC marketing on social media. OBJECTIVE This study examined the characteristics of Instagram posts by Cheyenne—a popular LFC brand—from 2019-2020. METHODS A content analysis of 323 images posted in 2019 and 2020 on Cheyenne’s official Instagram account was conducted. Descriptive statistics were examined, and Chi-square and Fisher’s exact tests were used to test differences by year. RESULTS Most posts (76.0%) showed 1 pack and/or LFC stick, which look highly similar to cigarette packs and sticks, and the pack was often flavored (62.2%). Images of lit LFC sticks increased from 2019 (12.2%) to 2020 (26.7%, P=.005). Warning labels were present on the ad in 79.9% of posts, but were always presented at the bottom, and used the same single warning statement that they are not a safe alternative to cigarettes. The depiction of people nearly doubled from 2019 (18.1%) to 2020 (34.8%, P=.001), and women (51%) were more commonly depicted than men (32%). Popular depictions and themes included the outdoors (57.6%) and seasonal imagery (36.2%) among others. CONCLUSIONS Cheyenne actively used Instagram to market its product and grow its brand. Posts seemed designed to promote the similarity of their LFC to cigarettes, through depictions of cig-a-like packs/sticks. Although warning labels were highly prevalent on Cheyenne Instagram posts, the warnings were not compliant with FDA warning guidelines and might have been counterproductive by emphasizing their viability as cigarette alternatives rather than their dangerous health effects. Future surveillance is needed, and regulation of LFC advertising on social media may be warranted.

This research was aimed to explore the coverage of development related news in Pakistani print media. To analyze the coverage, two leading newspapers of Pakistan- daily Dawn and daily Jang were selected by the researchers. Both are leading newspapers of Urdu and English language. The study is based on content analysis with a purposive sampling technique. All development news appearing on front, back and inner pages of newspapers were analyzed. The period for selection of news was from November 1st, 2018 to December 31st 2018. In this study, all those news are unit of analysis which deal with the core issue of development in any form. Results indicate that during that period overall 572 news stories appeared in newspapers out of which 271 appeared in Urdu newspapers and 301 appeared in English newspapers. It was explored that most published news was about the infrastructure category of development (20.09%). It was also revealed that the least number of stories (2.75%) appeared on the front pages of the newspapers.  It was found that overall 9.09% news stories were accompanied by images. Results indicate that the English press provided more space to development news than Urdu newspapers.

Background and aims. Autologus with punch minigrafting has been suggested as an alternative surgical method for treating stable vitiligo in refractory patients to induce regimentation. The current study was conducted to evaluate the long-term results of surgical punch minigrafting in patients with resistant vitiligo vulgaris, segmental and focal vitiligo. Methods: Case series prospective exploratory study design was performed in Tripoli central hospital (TCH) and private clinic among patient with confirmed vitiligo vulgaris, segmental and focal vitiligo, during the period from 2009 -2019. Data were presented as descriptive statistics using SPSS version 22. Chi-square test was used to test the significance of data with the level of 0.05 considered as significant level. Results: A total of 28 patients presented with vitiligo, of them 26 (92.9%) were females and 2 (7.1%) were males, with age ranging from 11-46 years old. The re-pigmentation of vitiligo was (53.6%) vulgaris, (28.6%) segmental, and (17.9%) focal vitiligo, with stable disease that did not have any new lesions at least 12 months with the disease ranging from one year (7.2%) and up to 30 years. The main instruments used with these cases were; skin punch size between 2mm (28.6%), 2.5mm (32.1%), and 4 to 6mm (10.7 %). The donor sites where selected to match the recipient sites either behind ear 39.3%, thighs 43%, while 3.6% were not previously affected by the disease. Conclusion. It has been suggested that mini grafting is a proper treatment option for treating patients with stable vitiligo, by using a small size punch, that is less than 2mm.

Purpose Dark tourism is a topic of increasing interest, but it is poorly understood when considering its significance for mainstream and commercial tourism. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the significance of dark tourism in the top ten most visited European tourist cities and propose a dark tourism index for Europe’s tourism cities. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected from the websites of the cities’ Destination Management Organisations (DMOs) using a content analysis methodology, based on keywords related to dark tourism taken from the research literature in this area. Descriptive statistics were produced and the variance between the frequencies of keywords related to each city was analysed for statistical significance. These results were then used to construct a darkness ranking of the cities. Findings There are significant differences in the extent to which dark tourism products and services are promoted by the DMOs of Europe’s top ten most visited European cities. The ranking of cities by darkness does not correspond to the ranking by visitor numbers, and further qualitative analysis suggests that, that the ranking is also independent of the actual presence of dark sites within the destination. This implies that European city DMOs are engaging with the emerging dark tourism market with to varying degrees. Research limitations/implications The purposive sample of ten cities can be extended in future research to increase the validity of the findings of this paper. A further limitation is the selection of keywords for content analysis, which have been developed following the literature review contained below. Future research could develop an extended list of keywords using a systematic review process. Practical implications This paper shows that it is possible to create a ranking of tourist cities in terms of their darkness, and that this methodology could be extended to a much larger sample size. This links dark tourism research to the urban tourism literature and also offers possibilities for creating a global ranking that could be used by destinations to judge their success in engaging with the dark tourism market, as well as by tour operators seeking to develop products for the same market. Social implications This paper will offer DMO’s and others the opportunity to hone their tourism products more effectively in a way which offers a better understanding of tourism, and therefore provides for better management of its issues. Originality/value Dark tourism is a growing niche area of study, and this paper seeks to provide a framework to better understand supply-side aspects of it.

This paper analyzes how three of Brazil’s largest national newspapers (Folha de S. Paulo, O Estado de S. Paulo, O Globo) addressed tweets from the President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, in the first four months of his government. The methodology consists of a qualitative content analysis of the news motivated by the president’s publications on Twitter, as well as the messages themselves, in order to identify the framing adopted by said newspapers and whether that framing fits the approach of Bolsonaro. Moreover, the study uses descriptive statistics (Chi-square test) to identify links between the following pairs of variables: issues and frames, months and issues, months and frames. The data is composed of 351 news pieces collected from these media’s websites. The results show that conflict and moral were the issues that media covered the most concerning Bolsonaro’s tweets, and the newspapers used news and interpretive frames equally.O artigo analisa como os tweets do presidente Jair Bolsonaro que pautaram três dos maiores jornais de circulação nacional no Brasil (Folha de S. Paulo, O Estado de S. Paulo, O Globo), nos quatro primeiros meses de governo, foram abordados pelo jornalismo. A metodologia consiste na análise de conteúdo qualitativa das notícias motivadas pelas publicações do presidente na referida rede, assim como dessas próprias mensagens, a fim de identificar o enquadramento que os jornais adotaram e se ele condizia com a abordagem de Bolsonaro. A pesquisa lança mão de estatística descritiva (Qui-quadrado) para identificar associações entre os seguintes pares de variáveis: temas e frames, temas e meses, meses e frames. Foram analisadas 351 notícias, coletadas dos webportais dos referidos jornais. Pode-se afirmar que conflito e moral foram os temas dos tweets que mais receberam atenção dos jornais, que utilizaram equilibradamente frames noticiosos e interpretativos na abordagem das mensagens analisadas.El artículo analiza cómo los tweets del presidente de Brasil, Jair Bolsonaro, que se presentaron en tres de los periódicos nacionales más grandes de Brasil (Folha de S. La investigación utiliza estadísticas descriptivas (Chi-cuadrado) para identificar asociaciones entre “temas y marcos”, “temas y meses”, “meses y marcos”. Se analizaron 351 artículos de noticias, que se recopilaron de los sitios web de estos medios. Conflicto y moral fueron los temas de los tweets que recibieron la mayor atención de los periódicos, que utilizaron equilibradamente los marcos noticiosos y interpretativos en el enfoque de los mensajes.
