Problem solving learning model is a learning approach that presents problems as an initial foundation to build students' critical thinking skills by skillfully solving problems. The problem presented is a problem that has a context with the real world, so it is able to encourage students to think actively in accordance with the experiences they have experienced. Researchers chose Cluster II SDN Lumbang Subdistrict Pasuruan Regency as a place of research, because with the consideration that the school had never done research, especially social studies subjects. The purpose of this study is to find out: (1) The effect of problem solving learning methods on critical thinking skills, (2) The influence of learning interest on critical thinking skills, (3) The effect of learning experiences on critical thinking skills, and (4) The influence of problem solving learning methods, interest in learning, learning experiences on critical thinking skills. This type of research is quantitative research. Variables determining learning problem solving, learning interest, learning experiences, and critical thinking skills. The study population consisted of 158 students, while the sample was 113 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that simultaneously and partially Problem Solving Learning Method, Learning Interest, Learning Experience affect Critical Thinking Ability

The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in the effect of critical thinking skills on students’ learning competency in accounting subjects at vocational high school in Surakarta. The indicators of critical thinking ability used in this study referred to the theory developed by Ennis, while the accounting competency indicators used referred to Bloom's taxonomy. This research was experimental quantitative research. The population in this study were all students of grade X accounting at SMK 1 Surakarta totaling 96 students. The sample of this study was class X AC (Accounting) 2 as the experimental class and X AC 3 as the control class. The sampling technique used in this study was Cluster Random sampling. The data analysis technique used in the study was Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), with pre-requisite tests that had to be done before, namely normality and homogeneity tests. This study concluded that there are differences in the influence of critical thinking skills on students’ competency in accounting learning.

Electronic Task Based Learning (e-TBL) is learning by giving assignments to students assisted by electronic media so that students are more active. In SMPIT Izzatul Islam (SMPIT Izzis) Getasan e-TBL is not yet available to analyze critical thinking skills and problem solving on learning substance and characteristics. This study aims to develop a valid and reliable e-TBL to analyze critical thinking skills and problem solving in learning substance and characteristics and to find out the responses of users after using e-TBL as a result of development. Type of this research is the research and development of the 4D model. The subjects of this study were students of grade 8 SMPIT Izzis. A limited test was conducted to determine the readability of e-TBL, the feasibility of e-TBL, and user responses to e-TBL conducted with a questionnaire sheet that tested its validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used in this study was quantitative descriptive. Based on research results, the development of e-TBL is feasible to use because it is valid and reliable. Responses from users also show that the development of e-TBL is feasible to be used to analyze critical thinking skills and problem solving on learning substance and characteristics.

The aim of the researcher is to find out how much change in learning outcomes (analytical thinking and critical thinking skills) by using the SAVI learning model with the assignment learning method using the learning media of science learning video recordings that have been prepared by the researcher. The method used in this research is quantitative research with quasi-experimental research methods in managing research data using the t-test and to see if there is a linear relationship, the researcher tests the hypothetical pre-test before testing the hypothesis or t-test. The results of the study were that there was no indirect relationship between the SAVI learning model and the science learning video observation task on analytical thinking skills and there was a relationship between the SAVI learning model and the science learning video observation task on critical thinking skills. It can be concluded that the Somatic, Audiotorist, Visual and Intelligence (SAVI) learning model can improve and help develop critical thinking skills while improving and developing analytical thinking skills requires learning stages that emphasize an initial or previous learning experience in learning when using the model SAVI learning

ABSTRACTThis research is aimed to know the differences increase critical thinking skills through learning group and individual problem solving in thermochemical material. This research uses a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design and study sample consisted of 103 students, divided into the first experimental (group problem solving) (35 students), the two group experimental (individual problem solving) (34 students). The collected through pretest-posttest. The analyzed with the Kruskal Wallis test, the results showed that the learning problem solving as a group or individually can improve students’ critical thinking skills. Statistical test there are significant differences in the students critical thinking skills thermochemical material between students who received group and individual problem solving. Critical thinking skills improvement with problem solving individual learning higher compared with group learning problem solving.Keywords: problem solving learning, critical thinking skillsABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pembelajaran group dan individual problem solving pada materi termokimia. This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills in Civics in 5th grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Kauman, Yogyakarta using Problem Based Learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects of the study were 5th grade students of B1 SD Muhammadiyah Kauman. The object of research is the whole process and the results of learning Civics with the application of Problem Based Learning model. This research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah Pakel Yogyakarta in April until May 2017. Data collection techniques used were observation, diary, interview and test. Data analysis technique is done descriptively qualitative. This research was conducted in 2 cycles by applying problem based learning model. The learning steps that were implemented were changes in the delivery of the subject matter, the students analyzed the problem, the formation of the discussion group with the grouping of students based on their achievement, the students in group for discussion, the group members delivered the discussion result in front of the class.The results showed that the critical thinking ability of the 5th grade students of B1 SD Muhammadiyah Kauman, Yogyakarta increased after the use of Problem Based Learning model in Civics learning with the subject matter of the example of central and regional legislation. This improvement is evident in the improvement of students' critical thinking skill test result from 12.90% pretreatment score to 51.61% (enough) in cycle I and increased to 70.96% (good) in cycle II. The results of activity observations related to students' critical thinking skills are increased among others: active students in learning, students more freely in finding and collecting desired information, and students also have more opportunities to learn with friends.

The purpose of this research are to knowing the differences of critical thinking skills using interactive module photoelectric effects  with printed module, describe the improvement of students' critical thinking skills after the interactive module is applied, describe science process skills in students who use interactive module of photoelectric effects, and knowing student responses to the use interactive module of photoelectric effects. The study was conducted in Natar 1 Public High School, in the even semester 2018/2019 academic year with research design nonequivalent control group design.The research instrument used was a questionnaire (questionnaire), Student Worksheet (LKPD) along with observation sheets and test questions. Data collection techniques were carried out by test techniques, questionnaires and LKPD contents. The data analysis technique of critical thinking ability is done by normality test, homogeneity test and N-gain. The data analysis technique of science process skills is done by calculating the average grade of the class then adjusted to the index classification table of science processes. Hypothesis testing is done by Paired Sample T Test and Independent Sample T Test. The results of the study show that (1) the application of the photoelectric effect interactive module is able to improve students' critical thinking skills, this is seen from the N-gain value and paired sample t test results, 2) there are significant differences in critical thinking skills between students who use interactive modules with printed modules, this is seen from the differences in the n-gain values of both classes and the results of the independent sample t test, (3) the value of students' science process skills is 82.6 with a high category, and (4) students gave a positive response to the utilization of the photoelectric effect interactive module.

This study aimed to investigate the relationships between teachers' knowledge, beliefs and activities about critical thinking. . The study followed the descriptive approach. This research was based on a questionnaire designed to investigate English teachers' points of view about critical thinking for primary and secondary schools in Qasabet Al Mafraq which is a city in the north of Jordan The population of the study is 280 female and male teachers distributed through 160 primary and secondary school. The study sample was randomly selected and it represents 46% of all English teachers in Qasbet Al Mafraq. They are 40 male and 88 female teachers during the second semester 2018/2019. The results of the study indicate that most of the teachers know the higher and lower –order of critical thinking skills. Also, they are inclined to use the critical thinking strategy to achieve certain outcomes in the curriculum. According to the teachers' beliefs, they think critical thinking is an important and effective strategy for problem solving and decision making. On one hand, there is a positive correlation between teacher's knowledge, teachers' belief and critical thinking activitie such as role- playing, asking questions, problem- solving, conceptual maps, debate and game playing. But on the other hand, there are no statistically significant differences at (a= 0.05) due to the variables of gender, experience, number of students, and the stage they are teaching. The researcher recommends that more research should be done on the effect of critical thinking on the four skills reading, writing, speaking and listening.

The Indonesian National Qualification Framework in higher education requires universities to develop a curriculum that makes students have superior competence with a variety of skills that are in line with the demands of the 21st century, including Critical thinking skills. The main objective of this research is to analyze the practicality of the OR-IPA learning model, which has been developed by design to improve the critical thinking skill of prospective physics teachers on the fundamentals of physics courses. The subject of practical observations was a physics lecturer who used the OR-IPA learning model. The observation sheet of the OR-IPA learning model practicality has been declared valid and reliable by the validators. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the OR-IPA learning model to improve the critical thinking skill of prospective physics teachers was considered practical (3.69). Lecturers and students can use the OR-IPA learning model without significant obstacles. This research implies that the OR-IPA learning model can be an alternative to improve the critical thinking skill of prospective physics teachers in the fundamentals of physics courses.

Abstract: The science learning process emphasizes providing direct experience to develop competencies in order to be able to explore and understand the nature around scientifically. students can gain direct experience, so they can add strength to accept and apply the concepts they have learned. Integrated science learning deals with the way students think and develop critical thinking skills. These skills include the ability to think critically, think creatively, and problem solving abilities. Modules are printed teaching materials that are designed to be independently studied by students, Module development is done to improve students' critical thinking skills.
