Abstract Background: In the globe, on April 2021, 130 million coronavirus cases, around 2.8 million were deaths, 102 million were recovered and 105.2 million were closed cases of COVID-19 reported. On April 2021, the world population were 7.9 billion of which United Nations estimates were 1.65% COVID-19 cases included the Ethiopia in report. The main objective of the study was identify the challenges of in control COVID-19.Methods: The cross-sectional study design was used November to February 2021 in Injibera from Ethiopia. The total 385 respondents using simple random sampling were interviewed. The chi-square test of association and ordinal logistic regression was applied to identify the effect of predictor variables on challenges in control COVID-19.Results: Out of 385 respondents 277(71.95%) were high challenges in control COVID-19 in Injibera. There was a significant relationship with social media and challenges of in control virus (p-value = 0.047). The variables considered social media, housing status and influence were significant relationship with challenges of in control virus (p-value < 5%). Facebook users were the responsible causes of challenges in control COVID-19 (p-value = 0.023). The more social media followed, decreased the occurrence of challenges in control virus. In addition, a unit increase rented, the challenges in control virus decreased by 0.60 times (p-value = 0.009).Conclusion: Winning against the coronavirus together with world couldn’t be a marathon. COVID-19 couldn’t be won without collective global and local effort. It would also need serious thinking, discipline and war against the only virus. COVID-19 war needs in control, the globe should be faced free, coordination and discover scientific methods together.

The development of new cases of HIV in Indonesia increased significantly in 2013 and 2014, respectively by 29,037 and 32,711 cases. The results of the risky behavior survey (1996-2000) showed that truck drivers, sailors and fishermen and other port workers including workers which are often mobile (mobile population), are vulnerable to HIV because of their sexual behavior and the nature of their work. Sinjai District is one of the districts with a considerable population of fishermen (8,544 fishermen) in South Sulawesi. This research aims to analyze the relationship between level of knowledge with risky behavior and the precautions of HIV / AIDS transmission on fishermen in Sinjai District in 2016. Method of this research is an analytical research with cross sectional study approach. Population were  the fisherman who registered in zero survey of Public Health Service of Sinjai District with 40 samples taken by simple random sampling. Data analysis  uses statistical test  of chi square.  The research results showed that 72.5% of fishermen did not know about HIV / AIDS transmission, 75% had risky behavior, and 65% did not take the precautions of HIV / AIDS transmission. Chi square test results showed that there is no significant relationship between level of knowledge about HIV / AIDS transmission with risky behavior of fishermen (p count, 0,152 > p value 0,05). While there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge with the precautions of HIV / AIDS transmission (p count, 0.034 < p value, 0.05).

Background: Needlestick and sharp injuries are a serious hazard in any health care setting for health care workers and students during clinical practice. Thus, the efforts to prevent the needlestick and sharps injuries are needed and considered a part of the routine practice. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the frequency of nursing students in doing the correct practice in prevention needlestick and sharps injuries. Methods: This cross- sectional study was conducted between 2013 and 2014 in nursing students of Tien Giang Medical College who participated in clinical practice. There were 360 students participated in the study using simple random sampling. Data were collected using the practical assessment checklist and demographic characteristics questionnaire. Data were processed using STATA 12.0, and analyzed using Chi-square and Fisher test. Results: The students who did general practice correctly accounted for 52.50%, and those who did practice incorrectly was 47.5%. The students who used gauze or wool wrap in inhaler were 59.7%, wearing gloves in practice (39.2%), do not disassemble needles from syringes after injection 50%, and removing needles into barrel after injection (65.6%). There was statistically significant relationship between time of participation in clinical practice and correct practice with p-value 0.04 (<0.05)Conclusion: The correct practice of nursing students related to the prevention of needlestick and sharps injuries remains low. There was a significant relationship between time of participation in clinical practice and correct nursing practice. It is suggested that students must be taught about the risk of infection at the beginning of clinical practice, and constantly reminded throughout the learning process, especially for injection safety awareness, knowledge and techniques about the risk of transmission of HBV, HCV and HIV by sharp objects in the healthcare facility.

Background: Traumatic brain injury is still a major threat because it can cause global morbidity and mortality. Many factors can affect the outcome of a traumatic brain injury. Some conditions that can exacerbate traumatic brain injury include GCS conditions, blood pressure variability, and pupillary reflexes. Methods: The research was conducted in M. Djamil Padang Hospital from October 2020 to March 2021. The study design was a cross-sectional study in traumatic brain injury patients with ≤ 48 hours of onset and the aged between 18-60 years. The subjects in this study consisted of 66 subjects. At 6 weeks after onset, a GOS assessment was performed to assess patient outcomes. Statistical analysis was performed computerized with SPSS 22.0. P-value <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Most of the patients were male (71.2%) with an average age of 36.41 ± 14,275 years, and the most common injury mechanism was traffic accidents (95.5%). There was a significant relationship between onset of incidence, hypotension, pupillary reflexes, and Rotterdam score with the outcome of traumatic brain injury patients (p<0.05) and there was no significant relationship between age, gender, and mechanism of injury with the outcome patients with traumatic brain injury. Conclution: The onset of events, hypotension, pupillary reflexes, and Rotterdam scores significantly affect the outcome patients of traumatic brain injury.

Background: Present study highlights that the worldwide trend of declining age at menarche is also seen in urban Indian girls. The aim of the study was to evaluate the age of menarche and to find out the factors associated with the timing of menarche. Methods: The study was an observational cross sectional study. 258 healthy, menstruating, adolescent girls aged 10-16 years, were selected by simple random sampling. Pre-designed structured questionnaires were distributed after taking informed consent. Anthropometric measurements were taken using standard techniques. The average age of menarche was calculated. The association of the age at menarche with the proposed factors was analyzed using chi square test and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. “P value” less than 0.05 was considered as significant. Results: The mean age at menarche was found to be 12.23±1.09 years. The study found a strong association between the respondent’s age at menarche and her sister’s age at menarche (p=0.002). The study also found a strong association between age at menarche and the socioeconomic status (p=0.021). This study however found no association of menarcheal age with factors like birth weight, type of diet, frequency of milk intake, body mass index, waist hip ratio, amount of exercise, unstable environment at home and psychosocial stress. Conclusions: The worldwide trend of declining age at menarche is also seen in urban Indian girls. This trend underlines the importance of investigating the factors associated with it and studying the future implications of a lower age at menarche.
