Abstract With COVID-19 having caused significant disruption to the global education system, researchers are beginning to become concerned with the impact that this has had on student learning progress and, in particular, if learning loss has been experienced. To evaluate this, we conduct a thorough analysis of recorded learning loss evidence documented between March 2020 and March 2021. This systematic review aims to consolidate available data and document what has currently been reported in the literature. Given the novelty of the subject, eight studies were identified; seven of these found evidence of student learning loss amongst at least some of the participants, while one of the seven also found instances of learning gains in a particular subgroup. The remaining study found increased learning gains in their participants. Additionally, four of the studies observed increases in inequality where certain demographics of students experienced learning losses more significant than others. It is determined that further research is needed to increase the quantity of studies produced, their geographical focus, and the numbers of students they observe.

The debate over the future direction of elementary and secondary education in the United States is fractious and contentious. Many of these are rooted in concerns over disparities in financial circumstances and race. While the full extent of the gaps, in addition to the United States' mediocre education system relative to other industrialized nations, has been a subject of frequent research and heated debate, one crucial component of this divide has yet to be analyzed: summer learning loss. This paper will closely analyze published literature in order to analyze the impact of summer education loss. Additionally, this paper will argue that summer learning varies by socioeconomic status (SES), with low-income populations gradually regressing over the years. This phenomenon has ramifications on students' achievement and explains the disparities that accumulate over a student's educational career. Finally, based on current evidence, this paper will make policy recommendations on how to change the current education system to better address summer's inherent inequities.

Purpose This paper aims to provide a comprehensive and systematic review of the extant empirical body of knowledge regarding the impact of Guanxi on international Business-to-Business (B-to-B) relationships. Design/methodology/approach After the collection and refinement of studies that appeared in marketing, business and management literature during 1995-2018 period, a systematic review was conducted to discover the current situation and future research directions on the subject. Findings Theoretically, vast majority of the reviewed studies lacked a theoretical foundation, with the remainder anchored primarily on the resource-based view, social network theory and social exchange theory. Methodologically, Ganqing, Xinren and Mianzi are the most frequently investigated dimensions, whereas Renqing is the least investigated dimension. Data are mostly obtained from both Chinese and Western counterparts through survey and analyzed through univariate and multivariate data analysis techniques. Empirically, extant research focused on many diverse outcomes including trust, financial performance, cooperation, satisfaction, time orientation, opportunism and liability of foreignness, while under-examining the drives of Guanxi. Research limitations/implications This study provides a synthesis of extant line of research on the subject that are published in peer-reviewed international journals, which publish research in English. A meta-analysis may be conducted for providing a further detailed framework. Originality/value This study contributes to international marketing literature by providing an in-depth and synthesized inventory of knowledge to scholars; deriving a comprehensive analysis of theoretical foundations, methodological approaches and findings addressed by scholars in the field; noticing theoretical, methodological and empirical gaps to be examined; and providing future research directions.

"The interest in discovering the limits of legibility has not ceased to interest those who use letters in typography and, to a certain extent, those who study the reading process. Sometimes the debate on the subject is marred by sensationalism. The research does not aim to identify a particular typeface and to promote it as “best for legibility”. The research aims to identify what are the possible reasons that make one typeface better than another and to make this knowledge available to the community, so that the typefaces can guarantee better reading performance, if this is possible."

The purpose of this study is to examine online learning during the pandemic period from the learner's economic standpoint. Seeing how far family income influences student learning achievement from the perspective of mastering English. The data is derived from English academic achievement and a questionnaire focusing on students' economic situations, and it is analyzed using the SPSS version 23 application. After being determined to be homogeneous and normally distributed, the data was collected and analyzed to test the hypothesis using R Square and ANOVA techniques. The results show that family economic factors influence Riau University students' English proficiency as much as 69.7 % in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic which may result in learning loss for the students

Feedback is an essential part of effective learning. It helps students understand the subject being studied and gives them clear guidance on how to improve their learning. Feedback is one of the most powerful influences on learning and achievement, but this impact can be either positive or negative. Providing students with meaningful feedback can greatly enhance their learning and achievement. Lecturer’s feedback plays an integral part in enhancing student learning in higher education. While effective feedback has frequently been identified as a key strategy in learning and teaching, little known research has focused on students’ perceptions of feedback and the contribution feedback makes to students’ learning. This study examined the impact of lecturer feedback on student learning. This study involved both Degree and diploma students studying in various fields in a local university in Sarawak. The sample size used for the study was 370 students. Lecturer feedback was measured using a scale developed by Susan Brookhart (2008). The results of the study show a significant and positive relationship between lecturer feedback and student learning. Another finding of the study is that motivational feedback is the main determinant of student learning followed by mode of feedback. This study also highlights how feedback can enhance student learning in higher education. Limitations and recommendations are discussed.

Student-centered learning environments with upside-down pedagogies (SCALE-UP) are widely implemented at institutions across the country, and learning gains from these classrooms have been well documented. This study investigates the specific design feature(s) of the SCALE-UP classroom most conducive to teaching and learning. Using pilot survey data from instructors and students to prioritize the most salient SCALE-UP classroom features, we created a low-tech “Mock-up” version of this classroom and tested the impact of these features on student learning, attitudes, and satisfaction using a quasi-­experimental setup. The same instructor taught two sections of an introductory biology course in the SCALE-UP and Mock-up rooms. Although students in both sections were equivalent in terms of gender, grade point average, incoming ACT, and drop/fail/withdraw rate, the Mock-up classroom enrolled significantly more freshmen. Controlling for class standing, multiple regression modeling revealed no significant differences in exam, in-class, preclass, and Introduction to Molecular and Cellular Biology Concept Inventory scores between the SCALE-UP and Mock-up classrooms. Thematic analysis of student comments highlighted that collaboration and whiteboards enhanced the learning experience, but technology was not important. Student satisfaction and attitudes were comparable. These results suggest that the benefits of a SCALE-UP experience can be achieved at lower cost without technology features.

Problem and goal. Determination of the place and role of education in the national security system at the present stage based on the analysis of the foreign and Russian regulatory framework, as well as scientific literature on the subject of the study. Methodology. Through the analysis and parallel comparison of the main domestic and foreign regulatory legal acts in the field of security, the key transformations of the perception and vision of education as a factor of national security in foreign countries and Russia were identified, and the causal relationships between the development of the education system and national security were formulated. Results. The problems of national security in all their diversity are significantly related to the state and sustainability of the development of the educational sphere, the impact of which is long-term and has far-reaching consequences in the form of imbalances in the socio-economic, scientific and technological development of the country. Conclusion. The formalization of existing approaches to assessing threats to national security and the economic aspects of ensuring national security will allow us to propose a methodology for quantifying the costs of the education system as a whole (or only for higher education), necessary to optimize the impact of education on national security.

This study aims to analyze the impact of online learning on student learning outcomes in the Geography subject, the subject matter of Population Data Processing and Analysis in class XI IPS SMAN 2 Labuapi during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research method uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPS 1, totaling 30 people. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation, and interviews. While the data analysis technique using interactive analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that online learning had an impact on student learning outcomes on the subject matter. Population Data Sources learning outcomes of 30 students showed 93% of students achieved completeness and only 7% had not. The average value of student learning achievement in this subject matter reached 81.83.

About one and a half years after the pandemic began, in every corner of the world, we have a clearer picture of the effects of the pandemic on education, and the conclusions are worrying, which means that the problem is deeply felt in education. The rapid need for digitization, the challenges of a new curriculum adapted to teaching online, the negative psycho-social impact of pupils resulting from isolation, anxiety, insecurity, and in particular the increase in school drop-out rates due to lack of access to online learning, There are some of the realities facing the global education system due to Covid-19. Strengthening educational institutions alongside teachers can be a key condition for the recovery of education in the post-pandemic period, undeniable, with the support of central and local public authorities.
