This paper summarizes the arguments and counterarguments within the scientific discussion on the generalization of the main vectors of the tax competitiveness theory’s development. The main purpose of the article is to analyze and systematize the research of scientists on the formation of tax competitiveness of the country, to identify the relationship of tax competitiveness with other economic categories, to determine the most promising areas of research on this issue. The results of trend analysis of scientific publications on tax competitiveness, indexed by Scopus and Web of Science scientometric databases, show a gradual increase in the relevance of these issues. The average growth rate of the number of publications on tax competitiveness in the Scopus database exceeds 12%, and in the Web of Science database – 45%. The methodological tools of the bibliometric analysis are VOSViewer v.1.6.10 and Scopus and Web of Science database analysis tools. The object of analysis is 4,598 publications indexed in the Web of Science database and 4,898 publications indexed in the Scopus database. The issues of international tax competitiveness became most relevant in 2003-2005, which coincided with the period of aggravation of the global economic crisis, which was accompanied by a significant reduction in tax revenues to budgets. The article identifies the top 10 Journals, most of which are indexed simultaneously by two databases and are part of the first quarter, in which the issue of tax competitiveness was considered most often. The study empirically confirms and theoretically proves the intersectoral nature of the study of the problem of the country’s tax competitiveness. According to the Web of Science database, issues of tax competitiveness were most often considered within the subject areas of Economics (39% of publications); Business Finance (6%); Environmental Studies (6%); Political Science (5%); Law (4%); Urban Studies (3%); Business (3%); Management (3%); Environmental Sciences (2%); Public Administration (2%); Regional Urban Planning (2%); International Relations (2%); Operations Research Management Science 2%) and others (21%), while according to the Scopus database – Economics, Econometrics and Finance (published 28% of all papers); Social Sciences (21%); Business, Management and Accounting (13%); Engineering (7%); Environmental Science (7%); Medicine (5%); Energy (4%); Computer Science (2%); Arts and Humanities (2%); Decision Sciences (2%); Earth and Planetary Sciences (1%); Materials Science (1%); Agricultural and Biological Sciences (1%); Others (6%). The paper clusters international research networks on tax competitiveness by geographical area and identifies 5 clusters of cooperation of scientists in the preparation of publications indexed in the Web of Science database and 4 clusters – in the preparation of publications indexed in the Scopus database. According to the results of the analysis of metadata of publications devoted to the tax competitiveness, 14672 keywords, the frequency of use of which exceeds 5, were identified and grouped into 5 patterns. Most often, the concept of tax competitiveness is associated with the concepts of tax, economics, competition, costs, taxation.

Scientific productivity of any academic institution is expressed by the total number of publications generated by its academic faculties and the use of the publication by scientific community. Citation analysis is done to evaluate the use of the publications. Use of the publication can be studied with the help of bibliometric analysis. Counting publication, publications trends, authorship patterns and citation analysis are parts of bibliometric analysis. Web of Science is one of the best databases which allow the study in the use of the publications through citation analysis. In this article, scientific articles produced by the faculties and other international affiliated faculties of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences have been studied. Objective. In this study, the current state of research on traditional Mongolian medicine (TMM) through a bibliometric analysis of research documents located in the Web of Science (WoS) database was assessed. Methods. The WoS database was searched on September 2021 with the keywords “traditional Mongolian medicine.” Publications on TMM scientific research were included in this study, without any language limitations. Bibliometric data from such publications were retrieved from the WoS database. Full records with cited reference lists were descriptively analyzed. To assess trends in TMM research topics, authors’ keywords were analyzed. A thematic evolution map based on coword analysis was suggested. To analyze research networks among co-authors, affiliations, or countries of the authors, collaboration networks were evaluated. The Bibliometrix R package (3.1) was used for the analysis. Results. A total of 234 scientific publications were included in the analysis. The top three countries of origin of the corresponding authors were China (n = 153), Japan (n = 28), and South Korea (n = 9). The top three relevant affiliations of the authors in the included publications were “Inner Mongolia Medical University,” “Inner Mongolia University of Nationalities,” and “National University of Mongolia.” “Flavonoids,” “cytotoxicity,” “NMR,” and “Tibetan medicine” were the most frequently used keywords in the included documents. Most publications focused on the chemical analysis and mechanism of effects of Mongolian herbal medications. There were few publications on nonpharmacological interventions such as bloodletting or TMM diagnostics, which should be promoted in future publications. Conclusion. There were only a limited number of publications on TMM identified through a search of the WoS database, using the keywords “Traditional Mongolian medicine.” More improved strategy for searching for TMM publications must be established. Research publications on TMM, especially regarding nonpharmacological interventions, need to be promoted. In addition, collaboration with researchers worldwide needs to be encouraged in the future.

A brief bibliometric analysis of 5,000 most cited scientific publications presented in the Web of Science database on the “Carbon” topic for 2019–2020 is done. It is shown that the world’s leading scientific centers of China, the United States, India, South Korea, Japan and Germany, as well as the Russian Academy of Sciences are involved in research on this topic. The following areas of scientific research were dominant: materials science, physical chemistry, nanotechnology, engineering chemistry, applied physics, energy, electrochemistry, ecology, condensed matter physics. The clustering method based on the co-occurrence of the Author Keywords and the Keywords Plus of the Web of Science system revealed six areas of research: 1. catalysis, hydrogen production, carbon materials doped with nitrogen; 2. graphite/graphene-based energy storage systems; 3. sensors and emissions based on carbon quantum dots; 4. nanocomposites and their physical properties; 5. energy consumption and climate change; 6. adsorption and organic pollutants. The author assumes the high potential of research on the co-production of hydrogen and graphite, which may combine the interests of hydrogen energy development and production of new materials.

This article is devoted to the study of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the functioning of the business sector of European countries through bibliometric analysis. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the scientific achievements on this topic in terms of identifying key categories and phenomena that characterize the impact of COVID-19 on the activities of business entities. Methodological support for this paper includes trend and bibliometric analysis (based on VOSViewer v.1.6.10 toolkit). The results of the trend analysis showed recent stable gradual growth in the number of user search queries on business issues caused more by the COVID-19 pandemic that has become an inhibitor of economic growth and sustainable development. The object of the paper is 2406 publications indexed in the Scopus database and 4666 publications indexed in the Web of Science database on the effects of pandemics on the business sector. The time horizon of the study was in 1980-2021. According to the results of the analysis of papers indexed in the Scopus database the decreasing number of papers during 2014-2015 (from 99225 to 28836) were identified. The article identifies the top 15 Scientific Journals indexed by the Scopus and Web of Science databases in which the issue of the effects of COVID-19 on the business sector were considered most often. It is concluded that the majority of publications were published in journals that were indexed in both databases – Scopus and Web of Science. According to the results of the analysis of metadata of publications devoted to the effects of COVID-19 on the business sector, the 9 clusters by the Scopus database and 8 clusters by the WoS database were identified. The results of the bibliometric analysis devoted to the effects of COVID-19 on the business sector allowed defining 10587 keywords, the frequency of use of which exceeds 5. According to the Scopus database the most popular keywords within this problem are: humans, female, organization and management, commerce, risk assessment, economic aspect and others. At the same time, the most popular keywords in the Web of Science database are: pandemic, impact, business, performance, crisis, management, entrepreneurship, innovation.

Superabsorbent polymers (SAP) have gained the attention of the engineering field for applications in cementitious composites. Recently, many studies have addressed using these materials as an alternative to controlling recurrent pathologies, especially retraction in the hardening stage. This study conducted a literature review in the Scopus and Web of Science databases to identify relevant studies for future research in this area. Analyses were performed using the RStudio software program, where data on the number of publications, the main authors and journals, the most used keywords, and most common countries of publication were analyzed. Furthermore, bibliographic coupling and co-citation analyses were carried out. The results indicate that the most published authors were De Belie, Snoeck and Liu J., and the most cited authors were Jensen, Schrofl and Snoeck. Although Brazil is among the fifteen most published countries, it was not among the most cited, showing lacks in studies. In total, 343 articles were found in the Scopus database and 369 in the Web of Science.

This paper addresses the field of study relating to ecological values and the production, distribution, and consumption of organic food products, aiming to contribute to the consolidation of scientific knowledge in this area of study. This article refers to a bibliographic review in the Web of Science database. It also involves bibliometric analysis of the results of this bibliographic review using the NVivo program. The main results classify the number of articles published on the basis of the methodology used, the number of countries in the analysis units, the central themes of the study, and the type of organic food considered in the bibliography analyzed. It also classifies the articles with the greatest impact in relation to the number of bibliographic references, in addition to detailing the universities, institutions, and journals with the largest number of contributions in the field of study. The research concludes by identifying that most of the articles apply a quantitative methodology and address generic aspects of organic food. This study identifies a need for further research in relation to specific organic foods, and for articles that introduce comparative analysis at the international level.

The bibliometric method has proven to be a powerful tool for the analysis of scientific publications, in such a way that allows rating the quality of the knowledge generating process, as well as its impact on firm´s environment. This article presents a comparison between two powerful bibliographic databases in terms of their coverage and the usefulness of their content. The comparison starts with a subject associated to the relationship between resources and capabilities. The outcomes show that the search results differ between both databases. The Web Of Science (WOS), has a greater coverage than SCOPUS has.  It also has a greater impact in terms of most cited authors and publications. The search results in the WOS yield articles from 2001, while Scopus yields articles from 1976, however, some of the latter are inconsistent with the topic being searched. The analysis points to a lack of studies regarding resources as foundations of firm´s capabilities; as a result, new research on this field is suggested.

Abstract Microplastics (MPs) pollution has garnered significant interest as a serious environmental problem. To date, a large amount of research has been published on this topic. We analyzed the related studies to assess the global developments of MPs regarding the evolution, research trends, and hotspots by bibliometric. A total of 2,872 bibliographic records were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection, and CiteSpace 5.4 was used for bibliometrics. The results visually displayed the contributing countries, institutions, authors, keywords, and potential research directions in the MPs fields. The scientific developments in this field began in 2004 and have accelerated considerably since 2012. China and the USA are the leading countries in MPs research. The research on MPs is multidisciplinary and involves Ecology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Environmental Science, and Oceanography. Among these, Oceanography was the most connected with MPs and was the most well-developed. Overall, we mapped the development of MPs research and attempted a comprehensive discussion and understanding of scientific advances, as well as the progress made.
