This paper aims to apply the bibliometrics method to investigate the research trends in the study of microcredit, specifically analyzing the quality of the research productions by the citation status and the mutual influence of these publications. This study has used the bibliometric method for an overview analysis of all 382 publications on the topic of microcredit indexed in the Scopus database for the period of 1994 to 2021. The results of the study provide an overview of the publication trend on the microcredit topic, such as (i) the most influential publications; (ii) the most cited authors; (iii) the most cited journals by publications on the microcredit topic; (iv) the main research keywords that network linked among publications on the microcredit topic; (v) the most productive institutions; (vi) the trend of research collaboration among countries in publications on the microcredit topic. The article provides an objective overview of the microcredit topic development and is a valuable reference for scholars studying finance, economics, and business management.

Feminism is the body of social movements for the protection of women's rights. With the transfer of feminist activities to the online environment, the concept of digital feminism emerged, and women's rights started to be defended online. The aim of this study is to analyze the articles dealing with the subject of “digital feminism” in the Web of Science and Scopus databases taking various parameters into account. For this purpose, the bibliometric method was utilized, and 53 articles which addressed digital feminism between the years 1975-2021 were examined. This study is the first to discuss digital feminism using bibliometric analysis. In this respect, it is thought that the study will contribute to the literature and will be a reference for researchers.

A bibliometric analysis was carried out on the Indonesian Biology Journal for the period 2010 – 2020, with the aim of knowing 1) the distribution of keywords to see the description of the research published in the Indonesian Biology Journal 2010-2020; 2) article classification; 3) distribution of articles by year; 4) distribution of articles by issue number; 5) authorship pattern; 6) the most prolific writer; 7) affiliations of authors who contribute to the Indonesian Biology Journal; 8) the type of document used as a reference in the Indonesian Biology Journal 2010-2020. The bibliometric method was used, and the data was taken from the Indonesian Biology Journal from 2010 to 2020, which was downloaded via the address https://e-journal.biologi.lipi.go.id/index.php/jurnal_biologi_indonesia. Furthermore, the analysis of the distribution of articles based on keywords, distribution of class numbers, distribution of articles by year, distribution of articles by number of publications, pattern of authorship, most productive authors, pattern of authorship affiliation was carried out. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that during 2010-2020, 315 article titles have been published and there are 1,343 keywords. Of the 50 most keywords, the keyword Biodiversity often appears 21 times (1.56%) then Genetic variation and Wildlife conservation each 20 times (1.48%), then Animal population 18 times (1.34 %), followed by Plant conservation 17 times (1.19%) and Animal conservation 16 times (1.19%). Next is Feeds and Plant growth substances each with 15 (1.11%), then In vitro culture and Plant diversity each with 14 (1.04%). Next, Vegetation is 13 (0.90%), followed by Habitat conservation and Plant species, each with 11 (0.82%). On the order of 50 keywords Drought resistance, with a total of 4 (0.29%). The highest class is class 635 with a frequency of 35 (11.11%). Articles written by a single author (71 titles; 22.54%) and articles written by collaboration (244 titles; 77.46%). the least number of articles published is in 2020, which is 1 article title (3,17). For issue number 1 starting from volume 6 to volume 16, 164 article titles have been published (52.06%). As for number 2 with the same volume, there were 151 article titles (47.94%). The most prolific writer is Hellen Kurniati with 13 writings, followed by Wartika Rosa Farida with 12 writings and then Witjaksono with 11 writings. Then Andri Permata Sari, Niken Tunjung Murti Pratiwi, NLP. Indi Dharmayanti, Tri Muji Ermayanti with 10 each, followed by Didik Widyatmoko and Risa Indriani with 9 each, Atit Kanti and Yopi with 7 each and Dwi Astuti, Eko Sulistyadi, Ibnu Maryanto, Inna Puspa Ayu each. 6 posts. LIPI is the first institution that contributes the most articles, with a frequency of 260 times. It is known that 7,354 document titles are used as references and the journal is in the first order of cited documents, with 4,591 titles (62.42%).

The higher education (HE) landscape has been undergoing significant changes over the last decade. The trends of globalization and marketization of HE has had a profound impact on the dynamic relationship between students and higher education institutions (HEI) as service providers. Research efforts have been focused on understanding the role of students as customers, drivers of quality and satisfaction, and the emotional aspects of student customer experience (SCX). Despite an ongoing debate on whether students are customers and to what extent the business paradigm can be applied to HE, focusing on students’ higher education experience makes perfect sense, since students provide revenue and create a need for all the supporting services. This paper reviews the literature on SCX in the HE context. The paper aims to reduce the fragmentation of the field by spotting gaps and finding fruitful areas for future research. Using a bibliometric method based on articles indexed in the Web of Science database, it aims to identify the current state of knowledge in the field. The research contributes to both marketing and education theory by offering venues for new research. For policymakers in HE, it may serve as an up-to-date information source when looking for theoretically proven evidence for decision-making.

Thousands of new publications appear every day in bibliometric databases, so the demand for document retrieval technology is growing. Bibliometrics makes it possible to perform a quantitative analysis of text publications; however, the problem of classifying complex videos with a high level of semantics remains unsolved. Meanwhile, short-form videos gain popularity and attract more researchers. Knowledge Graph seems to be a promising technology in this area. This technology makes it possible to modernize the information search infrastructure. The experiment involved 461 short-video studies. The material for the experiment was collected from the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) database. The bibliometric method was recognized as expedient for the analysis. The keyword mapping and clustering operations were performed using the CiteSpace software. The results demonstrate that short-form video research has been popular among Chinese scientists since 2017. Short-form video research focuses on five major topics, that is, development trends, modern media convergence, video production, visual content management, and short-form videos in the public sector. The present findings may be employed in future research to collect relevant samples with exact semantic relationships. The technology is not limited to specific applications and, therefore, may be useful in any field of research.

PurposeThe objective of the article is to determine the numerical increase in publications on green libraries and the dynamics of its development as well as to determine the thematic structure of the scientific literature in the field of green libraries and its changes as a representation of research in this area.Design/methodology/approachThe research material consisted of publications on green libraries published between 1991 and 2020, indexed in the Web of Science database. The bibliometric method was used to determine the numerical increase in publications on green libraries and the dynamics of its development. In order to characterize the thematic structure of publications representing research in this area, content analysis was performed.FindingsQuantitative analysis of the literature on green libraries has shown that this is a new area of research not explored with constant intensity. The time of publishing materials on green libraries can be divided into two periods: the so-called period of first publications between 1991 and 2006, and the period between 2007 and 2020, when the number of publications increased relatively systematically. The content analysis confirmed the hypothesis that the most frequent theme is the issue of a green building and its management. It showed that the period after 2010 is the time of building a theoretical framework for a new research field, i.e. green libraries.Originality/valueThe main value of the article is the performance of a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the scientific literature indexed in the Web of Science devoted to green libraries, from the moment of the first publications to the present day. The codebook developed for the needs of content analysis can constitute the basis for the development of criteria for the evaluation of green libraries and guidelines for their organization.

Background: Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic disabling disease characterized by chronic inflammation, articular cartilage destruction, and reduced bone mass. Multiple studies have revealed that the development of osteoporosis in rheumatoid arthritis (RA; ORA) patients could be led to a reduced quality of life and increased healthcare costs. Nevertheless, no attempt has been made to analyze the field of ORA research with the bibliometric method. This study aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the knowledge structure and theme trends in the field of ORA research from a bibliometric perspective.Methods: Articles and reviews regarding ORA from 1998 to 2021 were identified from the Web of Science database. An online bibliometric platform, CiteSpace, and VOSviewer software were used to generate visualization knowledge maps including co-authorship, co-citation, and co-occurrence analysis. SPSS, R, and Microsoft Excel software were used to conduct curve fitting and correlation analysis, and to analyze quantitative indicators, such as publication and citation counts, h-index, and journal citation reports.Results: A total of 1,081 papers with 28,473 citations were identified. Publications were mainly concentrated in North America, Western Europe, and Eastern Asia. Economic strength is an important factor affecting scientific output. The United States contributed the most publications (213) with the highest h-index value (46) as of September 14, 2021. Diakonhjemmet Hospital and professor Haugeberg G were the most prolific institution and influential authors, respectively. Journal of Rheumatology was the most productive journal concerning ORA research. According to the burst references, “anti-citrullinated protein antibodies” and “preventing joint destruction” have been recognized as the hot research issues in the domain. The keywords co-occurrence analysis identified “teriparatide,” “interleukin-6,” “Wnt,” and “vertebral fractures” as the important future research directions.Conclusion: This was the first bibliometric study comprehensively summarizing the trends and development of ORA research. Our findings could offer practical sources for scholars to understand the key information in this field, and identify the potential research frontiers and hot directions in the near future.

Infrared thermography (IRT) is a noninvasive and safe method of displaying the temperature map of objects that can be used to detect hoof diseases and lameness to reduce significant financial costs and physically stress animals. A qualitative bibliometric method based on the analysis of publications by the authors themselves using sophisticated tools of scientific databases was applied in this work. This review presents the fundamentals of IRT as well as recent developments in IRT detection in dairy science, including preprocessing, segmentation, and classification of objects in IRT images. In addition, recent studies dealing with the detection of hoof diseases and lameness using IRT are reviewed. As a result of this study, select previous studies are confronted in terms of technical aspects of IRT measurements such as emissivity, distance, temperature range, and reflected air temperature. Subsequently, recommendations for future IRT measurements are discussed.

To study the classification and evolution of key technologies in the transportation field, the data of 36 authoritative SCI journals in the transportation field were collected from the Web of Science core collection database from 2001 to 2020. Based on the bibliometric method, this study used Python to process and visualize data, combined with bibliometric software VOSviewer to assist data visualization. Firstly, a preprocessing data algorithm was designed to deduplicate the collected data, merge synonyms, and extract key technologies. Then the paper records that contained the key technology lexicon were filtered out. Next, the annual number of publications and the distribution of key technologies over time were counted. The least squares method was used to fit the distribution of the annual proportion of the publications, and the slope k1 of the fitted linear regression equation was used to determine the research interest trend of key technologies. The key technologies were divided into “hot technology,” “cold technology,” and “other technologies,” according to the research heat trend. In order to further explore the research hotspots, the least squares method was also used to fit the citations of all technologies to obtain the slope k2. We use the Gaussian mixture model (GMM) algorithm to cluster k1 and k2 of each technology. As a result, the 144 technologies were divided into 13 super-key technologies, 60 key technologies, 59 relative key technologies, and 12 lower-key technologies. Then, the evolution of key technologies was analyzed from two perspectives of weighted evolution and cumulative evolution. And the technology evolution trend in the transportation field in the past 20 years was explored. Finally, the cooccurrence clustering method was adopted to divide key transportation technologies into five categories: vehicle technology and control, optimization algorithms and simulation techniques, artificial intelligence and big data, Internet of Things and computing, and communication technology. The research results can provide references for different people in the transportation field, including but not limited to researchers, journal editors, and funding agencies.

Abstract Study design.A bibliometric review of the literature.Objective.The objective of our study is to research and analyze the most frequently cited 100 articles on adjacent segment degeneration (ASD).Background.Fusion is an effective method for degenerative diseases, however the problem of adjacent segment degeneration (ASD) after the fusion are also becoming increasingly important. Numerous of literatures and related researches promoted the development of this field. A bibliometric analysis of the 100 most cited articles on adjacent segment degeneration can supply lots of information and guide the future researches.Methods.We searched and identified the100 top-cited articles from Web of Science (WOS), using title-specific search“adjacent segment degeneration”. All articles published in English language between 1985 and 2021 were included. The following information were recorded and analyzed with bibliometric method: first author, article title, journal of publication, year of publication, total number of citations, country, institution and authors’ specialty.Results.The most prolific years were 2015 and 2016, each had 12 articles published. The most citation years were 2020 and 2018, which the total citations were 522 and 438, respectively. The citation count of the top 50 articles ranged from 22 to 421. European Spine Journal contributed the maximum of 17 articles. With regard to the primary author’s specialty, clinical neurology contributed to the majority of top 100 list with 75 articles, SHEN Y published the most of 5 articles. China mainland had produced 29 articles in the first. With regard to institutions, the most one was from Yonsei University with 8 articles.Conclusion.This study searched and analyzed the top 100 influential articles on ASD and provided a meaningful resource with detailed information for spine surgeons who may much more better to understand the trend in this filed. They can also benefit from the emphasis on citation count to prepare high-level articles by themselves in the future.
