In the era of Education 5.0, mobile applications for the teaching-learning process are proliferating. The mobile application also exists in English Phonetics and Phonology Classes. Its name is O’Speak. The use of O’Speak in English Phonetic and Phonology Class derives from the idea of technological development in this digital era. Virtues and hurdles of using O’Speak come out in students’ viewpoints. Therefore, this study is conducted to know the students’ perceptions toward the use of O’Speak in English Phonetic and Phonology Classes. The research method used in this study is a case study that focuses on the phenomenon of O’Speak. English Phonetics and Phonology students are the participants in this study. The finding shows that the students have several overviews toward O’Speak, such as students' concept of O’Speak, O’Speak designs, and O’Speak comments.

The dramatic advancement technologies, particularly mobile applications, have influenced the education sector. The integration of mobile applications in education to change the teaching-learning process has taken place and led to innovative learning, including English language learning. Hence, this study aimed to find out the students’ perceptions and the factors influencing students’ perceptions toward the use of mobile application in learning English particularly speaking. To reach the objectives, this study used case study as the research method. The data were collected mainly through interview and observation. The participants were five vocational school students in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. They were purposively selected because they had been familiar with mobile application and they had been taught speaking English using mobile application by their teacher, so that they could give adequate information.  The research findings showed positive perception from the students toward the use of Learn English Conversation application in learning speaking. They declared that the use of Learn English Conversation application could facilitate them in practicing speaking, bring fun and enjoyable learning during the learning process. Moreover, their positive perceptions were influenced by several factors such as the flexibility and the new learning experience given by the mobile application, the ease to run the mobile application and unrequired a lot of internet quota when the students run the mobile application.

AbstractIndonesia is currently focus in increasing the number of foreign tourists visiting the destination with leisure and business (MICE) purpose. Various ways have been done by Ministry of Tourism, one of them is made applications for mobile users. Applications that have been launched by Ministry of Tourism are 'Pesona Indonesia eBrochure', 'Wonderful Indonesia', and '100 You Must See in Indonesia' which all of that promote Indonesia's famous destination. The applications are quite effective in describing the wonderful things of Indonesian destinations, but has not been able to provide information related to the MICE industry. In this journal will be discussed about the important role of applications on the smartphone as a promotional tool, comparing the three types of applications that have been launched by the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia, feature plan in 'MICE Indonesia' applications as a result of the development of the previous three applications. The aims of this journal are to describe the important role of mobile application as a promotional tool in the digital era, knowing the advantages and disadvantages of features in the application launched by the Ministry of Tourism, and to make feature design on 'MICE Indonesia' application as MICE promotion tool to the world. This research method is use case study by making comparison with previous product (applications). Tujuan yang akan dicapai adalah mengetahui peran penting penggunaan aplikasi pada smartphone sebagai alat promosi di era digital saat ini, mengetahui kekurangan serta kelebihan fitur-fitur dalam aplikasi yang diluncurkan Kementerian Pariwisata, dan membuat rancangan fitur pada aplikasi ‘MICE Indonesia’ sebagai alat promosi MICE kepada dunia. Metode penelitian ini adalah studi kasus yaitu dengan membuat perbandingan dengan produk sebelumnya. The digital era is undeniable. Communication all over the world runs with the involvement of digital devices. For widespread information, mobile phones such as smartphones play an essential role in learning media, especially in learning English. In learning English as a foreign language, smartphones provide a variety of features to support the learning process. These potential features benefit the students so they can help themselves in improving their ability, especially in the English language. This study explored the kind of mobile application suggested by the teachers to help their students learn English. By conducting a case study, this study covered a variety of mobile applications and their use in the learning activity. About eight teachers from different senior high schools in Indramayu participated in this study. A questionnaire were distributed to the participants to collect the data; then, it was analyzed qualitatively.

This study aims to obtain a description related to the learning of PAI by using ICT and how the impact of the use of ICT on PAI learning systems in the classroom. The research method uses a qualitative approach in the integrated Islamic high school Ummul Quro Bogor, West Java. The results showed that a) there were four stages of using ICT in the learning process, namely; emerging, applying, integrating dan transforming. PAI teachers are already at the integrating stage. In other words, ICT has been integrated into the PAI learning curriculum. b) supporting factors for the use of ICT are the existence of ICT support facilities, the availability of qualified educators, the commitment of the school to implement ICT in every PAI learning. c) Inhibiting factors in the use of ICT are aspects of financing ICT facilities require a large budget. Some elderly teachers have difficulty using ICT in the learning process. Besides, the internet network is unstable. d) The impact of the use of ICT is very significant on PAI learning process. e) the existence of ICT devices not only as a support but already as an important component in the education system. The research led to the recommendation of the need for government support in the form of concern for ICT in terms of policies, facilities, workforce, budget, and organizing training in the use of ICT for PAI teachers to improve their professionalism. Therefore, further research is suggested regarding the effectiveness of the use of ICT in the learning process of PAI.

A conducive learning situation is essential in learning English. However, one problem that usually disturbs the learning situation is the appearance of disruptive behavior. Students' disruptive behavior is an inappropriate behavior conducted by students during the learning process which turns the classroom into unconducive. Exactly, there are several factors contribute to the occurrence of disruptive behavior in the English lesson, especially on senior high school students. Thus, the current study was a case study aimed to investigate several causes of students' disruptive behavior in English teaching-learning process in the classroom. The subjects of this study consisted of an English teacher and a class of twelfth-grade students in a small town in Indonesia. The data were collected using observation and interview. The result of this study showed that students' disruptive behavior in the English classroom was caused by internal factor and external factor. Feeling boredom, feeling anxiety, and seeking attention were internal factor that became the occurrence of disruptive behavior. While fatigue was the external factor that causes the emergence of students' disruptive behavior in the English teaching-learning process in the classroom.             Keywords Disruptive Behavior, English Classroom, Senior High School Students, Teachers’ Management

Este artigo visa a apresentar, sob uma perspectiva ecológica de letramento, resultados da análise de práticas sociodiscursivas do processo de ensino-aprendizagem de Português Língua de Acolhimento, de imigrantes refugiados no Brasil, realizadas por meio do WhatsApp. Teoricamente, o estudo circunscreve-se às dimensões analíticas de letramento (MOREAU et al., 2013), sob a perspectiva ecológica dos estudos linguísticos (VAN LIER, 2004, 2010), fundamentando-se em pressupostos referentes aos recursos multimodais das tecnologias digitais (LEFFA, 2006; MORAN, 2013) e à função mediadora da linguagem (VIGOTSKI, 1971), em especial, do Português Língua de Acolhimento (BARBOSA; SÃO BERNARDO, 2017) e de suas implicações referentes à noção de afetividade (LEITE, 2012). Metodologicamente, trata-se de estudo qualitativo de caso (STAKE, 1994), de base etnográfica virtual (SANTOS; GOMES, 2013) cuja geração dos dados ocorreu por meio de observação participante (BOGDAN; BIKLEN, 1998) e notas de campo (FETTERMAN, 1998). Sua relevância reside na urgência no processo de imersão de imigrantes refugiados em práticas sociodiscursivas que viabilizem a obtenção de condições mínimas de vida digna e a garantia de autonomia em sua agência no país de destino (COSTA; TAÑO, 2018). Os resultados da pesquisa sugerem que a abordagem ecológica de práticas de letramento em ambiente virtual amplia a compreensão das articulações inerentes ao processo de ensino-aprendizagem de línguas, propiciando ao docente melhores condições de promover a autonomia dos estudantes, em contexto de imigração, na condução de soluções que atendam às suas necessidades mais prementes, voltadas para as práticas sociais de imersão no país de chegada.   This article aims to present, in the light of an ecological perspective of literacy, the results of the analysis of sociodiscursive practices of the teaching-learning process of Portuguese as a Host Language, through WhatsApp by refugee immigrants in Brazil. Theoretically, the study is limited to the ecological perspective of linguistic studies (VAN LIER, 2004, 2010) and analytical literacy dimensions (MOREAU ET AL., 2013) based on assumptions regarding the multimodal resources of digital technologies (LEFFA, 2006; MORAN, 2013) and the mediating function of language (VIGOTSKI, 2009) in particular the Portuguese Host Language (BARBOSA; SÃO BERNARDO, 2017) and its implications regarding the notion of affectivity (LEITE, 2012). Methodologically, it is a qualitative case study (STAKE, 1994) with a virtual ethnographic basis (SANTOS; GOMES, 2013) whose data generation occurred through participant observation (BOGDAN; BIKLEN, 1998) and field notes (FETTERMAN, 1998). Its relevance resides in the urgency in the process of refugee immigrants sociodiscursive practices that make it possible to obtain minimum conditions of dignified life and guarantee autonomy at their agency in the destination country (COSTA; TAÑO, 2018). The research results suggest that the ecological approach to literacy practices in a virtual environment broadens the understanding of the articulations inherent to the language teaching-learning process, providing the teacher better conditions to promote the autonomy of the students in the context of immigration, in driving solutions that meet their pressing sociodiscursive needs, focused on social immersion practices in the country of arrival.

The aim of the article is to evaluate the functionality of the VisitMalopolska mobile application developed for tourists. An attempt is made to outline ideas that allow tourists to explore Małopolska on their own, as well as to facilitate access to information about the region. The study focuses on the diverse use of mobile applications in tourism and in addition discusses the objectives and research method used. The main part of the discussion concerns the characteristics and evaluation of the most important functionalities of the new VisitMalopolska tourist application. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan proses belajar mengajar Permainan Bola Voli Melalui Metode Pembelajaran Games and competition Pada Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 14 Lebong Selatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada jam belajar Penjasorkes kelas V SD Negeri 14 Lebong Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), penelitian ini secara obyektif atau apa adanya dengan subyek siswa kelas V SD Negeri 14 Lebong Selatan berjumlah 15 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu : (1) perencanaan,  (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi, dan (4) refleksi. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan adalah data kualitatif berupa hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa pada saat proses belajar-mengajar berlangsung. Adapun hasil pengamatan terhadap siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar Permainan Bola Voli Melalui Metode Pembelajaran Games and competition pada siklus I adalah sebesar 55% dari keseluruhan pengamatan terhadap proses belajar mengajar. Pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 85%. Sedangkan hasil pengamatan terhadap guru pada siklus I sebesar 65% dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 90%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya peningkatan yang sangat berarti dalam penerapan metode pembelajaran games and competition pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 14 Lebong Selatan.Kata Kunci : Proses Belajar Mengajar, Bola Voli, Games and competition.AbstackThis study aims to determine the improvement of teaching and learning process of Ball Games through Learning Methods of Games and competition In Grade V Students of Elementary school 14 Lebong Selatan. This research was conducted at the learning hour of class V of SD Negeri 14 Lebong Selatan. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK), this research is objective or what it is with the subject of grade V students of SD Negeri 14 Lebong Selatan totaling 15 people. This study was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages: (1) planning, (2) implementation of action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The type of data collected is qualitative data in the form of observation of teacher and student activity during the teaching-learning process. The results of observation of the students in the learning process Teaching Ball Volleyball Through Learning Methods Games and competition in the first cycle is 55% of the overall observation of the teaching and learning process. In the second cycle increased to 85%. While the results of observations of teachers in the first cycle of 65% and increased in cycle II to 90%. So it can be concluded that there is a very significant improvement in the application of learning methods of games and competition on students of grade V Elementary school 14 Lebong Selatan.Keywords: Volleyball, Games and competition, Teaching and Learning Proces

Evaluation of a technologically mediated college-level biology course has been done objectively as well as subjectively. Comparison is made with data accumulated from a traditionally taught biology course. Comparison reveals grade improvement through the use of educational technology. The learning environment is superior and student acceptance of technology is overwhelmingly favorable. The multimedia program has had a positive effect on the teaching-learning process. The challenge is to develop and use systems more effectively.
