The objective of the study was to implement the debate technique and peer assessment to improve the third semester student’s speaking ability. This study employed classroom action research and it was done in two cycles.  There were four meetings in each cycle; three meetings was for the implementation of debate in the teaching of speaking and one meeting was for conducting speaking test. The instruments used to collect the data were: (1) observation checklist, (2) field-note, (3) score sheet, and (4) questionnaire. The result of the research showed that the criteria of success had been reached in cycle 2. There were two aspects determined as the success criteria; score improvement and classroom atmosphere. The result of speaking test showed that the students had made some progress, the average scores raised from 60 in pre-test, 69 in cycle 1 and 75 in cycle 2. These scores indicated that there is an increasing ability from being ‘fair’ to being ‘good’. The classroom atmospheres were also increasing positively. The result shows that the students gradually could express their thought and opinions in debate practice. This activity encouraged the students’ creativity to explore the language, since they were asked to develop their arguments from certain motions. The motions were made familiar to them so that they found it easy to speak on the topics. By practicing speaking in the debate practice, they improved their fluency as well as their confidence.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak melalui Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah di kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan dua siklus yang terdiri dari: perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan lembar observasi dan catatan lapangan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa pembelajaran akidah akhlak dengan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar di kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Kota Jambi. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa untuk setiap indikator yang diteliti. Peningkatan aktivitas siswa yang dimaksud adalah terjadinya peningkatan aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Siswa aktif merespon pertanyaan guru, mengemukakan alasan, menjelaskan kepada teman, mempresentasikan hasil diskusi kelompok dan membuat kesimpulan Kata Kunci: Aktivitas Siswa, Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Akidah Akhlak Abstract [Tittle: Improving Student’ Activity In Akidah Akhlak Course Through Problem Based Learning Approach]. This research was aimed to improve students’ activity in Akidah Akhlak through Problem Based Learning (PBL)at MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi city.This was a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles in which each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of this research was the third year students of MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi that consisted of 32 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation sheet and field note. The data then was analyzed descriptively.The result of the research showed that the use of PBL approach could improve students’ activity in Akidah Akhlak at MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi. After applying PBL approach, the students had a willingness to answer teacher’s questions, give opinions and plain them to the peers, present the result of the discussion and take conclusion. This research aims at enhancing EFL students’ speaking skill through the use of language games. The research was designed in the form of Classroom Action Research. It was conducted in two cycles and six meetings. Each cycle consisted of plan, implementation, observation, and Reflection. The researchers employed an observation checklist, field notes, questionnaire, and test to collect the data. The main criterion of success of this research was that the students’ scores on the speaking test should achieve a score of 70, and it must be achieved by 75% of the total number of students. The second criterion was that the lecturer’s classroom performance should meet the “Success” category. The results of the first speaking test showed that from 24 students in the classroom, 15 students got scores of 70 or higher. It was equal to 62.5 %. In cycle 2, the total number of students who got scores of 70 or higher was 21. It was equal to 87.5 %. The result of this research indicated that the use of language games can develop the students’ speaking skills

This study presents a research report on improving students’ Learning results on IPA through Video. The objective was to find out whether students’ learning result improved when they are taught by using Video. It was conducted using classroom action research method. The subject of the study was the Grade IV students of SDN 187/IV Kota Jambi which is located on Jln. Adi Sucipto RT 05 Kecamatan Jambi Selatan, and the number of the students were 21 persons. The instruments used were test. In analyzing the data, the mean of the students’ score for the on fisrt sycle was 65,4 (42,85%) and the mean on cycle two was 68,5 (37,15%) and the mean of the third cycle was 81,4 (100%). Then it can be concluded that the use of video on learning IPA can improve the students’ learning result. It is suggested that teachers should use video as one of the media to improve students’ learning result on IPA.Keywords : IPA, students’ learning result, video

Implementation of the 2013 curriculum is very different from the previous curriculum, there are still many obstacles that we know greatly affect the learning outcomes, both in terms of media used, the assessment in the 2013 curriculum is more complicated than the previous curriculum then the methods used to convey the learning materials that want to be taught not effective or even incompatible with the material to be conveyed. This research method is a classroom action research conducted in improving the learning process, with four meetings. The assessment taken in this study is an evaluation evaluation of each meeting in the form of attitudinal value, value of knowledge and skill value based on teacher's book on theme 4 "Healthy is Important" with sub theme 1 "Importance of Health and Environment". On the attitudes that appear attitude of self-confidence, curiosity and independence Already entrusted by 20.68% confidence, and curiosity while mandated 6.2% lower because students are still not familiar with the implementation of the curriculum 2013. Results of student knowledge seen the development in excellent value at the first meeting of 36.4%, at the second meeting decreased to 30.3%, while at the third meeting experienced a 52.25% increase again. While on the results of these students' skills on four meetings emerged every meeting with a very good category at the first meeting of 18.1%, at the second meeting increased to 27.3%, the third meeting decreased to 20.68%, while at the fourth meeting increased again by 65.62%.

The objective of this study was to investigate whether the application of Teams-Games-Tournament Technique improve the students achievement in Speaking. This study was an classroom action research. The subject of this study was class XI IPA 3 SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Kisaran which consists of 35 students. The study was conducted in two cycles, cycle I consisted of three meetings and cycle II was consisted of three meetings. The instruments for collecting data were quantitative (oral speaking test) and qualitative data (observation sheet and diary note). Based on speaking scores, students’ score kept improving in every evaluation and based on observation sheet and diary note, it was found that teaching and learning process ran well. Students could enlarge their thinking process. The result of this study showed that Teams-Games-Tournament improved students’ achievement in speaking.

This study deals with improving the students’ vocabulary achievement byapplying Tic-tac-toe Game. The subject of this study was grade VIII1 2012/2013students of SMP Negeri 1 Payung, desa Batukarang. The total number of the classis 36 students. This study applied classroom action research which consisted oftwo cycles. Three meetings were for first cycle and two meeting for second cycle.The data were collected qualitatively and quantitatively. The data werequalitatively collected from questionnaires sheet and observation sheet, whilequantitatively from the scores of vocabulary tests; orientation test, test I, and testII. After analyzing the data, it was found that there was an improvement ofstudents’ vocabulary achievement. It was proven by the increasing of the meanscore of the students’ vocabulary scores in each test where mean score of the firsttest was 56.94, the second test (test I) was 69.30 and the third test (test II) was80.14.

This research was conducted to solve students’ problem in speaking especially the students never practiced to speak each other. The researcher applied the three-step interview technique in improving their speaking ability. The instruments were speaking test, observation sheet and questionnaire. The researcher applied Classroom Action Research. It consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consisted four meetings and four steps. The steps included plan, action, observation, and reflection.The result of the research in the first cycle showed that the students’ achievement and performance were so low. It could be seen from the students’ score in the first cycle was 2.74. the highest score in the first cycle was 4 which were acquired by three students but the highest score at the end of the second cycle was 5.3 which was acquired by 4 students. The lowest score in the first cycle was 1.7 which acquired by one student and the lowest score in the second cycle was 3.3 which was acquired by four students. Based on the data, the researcher concluded that three-step interview technique could increase the students’ ability in speaking. This technique had proven that three-step interview technique was a successful technique to help students in speaking.

Abstract-This research related to the development of the potential of ecopreneurship students through project-based learning. The purposeof this research is caused by unrest demonstrated by students either in the process of learning which is very flat as well as assessment of the student's active role in the learning or suggested the practice as a form of character development. Researchers take a character-based entrepreneurial environment because the research location close to traditional and modern market. Problem formulated which examined is, related how the design, implementation, as well as the obstacles that occur in this research. The research method used is the classroom action research method using designs from Lewin according to Elliot. The design research of Lewin according to Elliot in each cycle begins with planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used are observation, field note, and documentation study. The instrument used is the observation sheet and rubric. Based on the research that has been done shows that project-based learning model can be an alternative model which could develop the potential of ecopreneurship grade VII-A MTS. Ar-Rohmah Bandung. This can be seen from the increase in the indicators of research after two cycles with a total of eight actions. The increase occurred on the indicators create, explore, creative, innovative, and confident. The results of this research can be an alternative to developing the social studies study that allows students to explore his creativity by doing a practice jump, so that learning becomes more meaningful for teachers as a student or as a character-forming the subject of the creation of the character.Keywords: project-based learning, the potential ecoprenership.

This research started from the background of the lack of understanding of the class teacher regarding instilling discipline in children from an early age, namely awareness in discipline including, arriving on time, obeying class rules, tidying up toys after use, queuing and being orderly. The formulation of the problem in this paper is how the class teacher's efforts in improving the discipline of children aged 4-5 years through the method of habituation. The purpose of this study is to describe the discipline of children aged 4-5 years through the method of habituation. This writing is Classroom Action Research, which is carried out through 3 cycles with each cycle of stages being planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. This writing took place in Darunnajah Islamic Kindergarten 1. The data was collected by observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the writing show: 1) The results showed an increase in discipline with the habituation method in the first cycle which was in the category of developing according to expectations amounting to 56.4%, then in the second cycle it became 83.3% and in the third cycle it reached 93.6%. 2) Children's discipline can be improved by the habituation method by providing examples to students, providing motivation, in instilling discipline carried out continuously and consistently. Besides that, it is also accompanied by clapping and songs, reading Islamic stories, accompanied by giving rewards in the form of praise and star stickers.

The study is aimed at developing the Idea Listing Technique (ILT) to enhance the students‟ writing ability. The Classroom Action Research was applied in this study. The subjects of the study were 31 students, the students taking the course of Writing II, of the third semester of English Department of one State Islamic College at Palangka Raya, Indonesia, in the 2012/2013 academic year. The findings show that the implementation of ILT can enhance the students‟ ability in writing expository paragraph. It is indicated by the enhancements of the percentage of the students achieving the score greater than or equal to C (60-69), and of the percentage of their involvement in the writing activities during the implementation of ILT in Cycle I and II. Thus, the enhancement of the students‟ ability in writing expository paragraph can be reached but it should follow the appropriate procedures of the implementation of ILT having been developed.Keywords: Idea Listing Technique, Writing Ability, Paragraph Writing, Expository Paragraph
