The deserts of Rajasthan have long been known for their spare beauty and their intense sunshine. Now that sun is being turned into a surge of solar power expansion that may one day power not just Rajasthan but a wide swath of India with clean energy. Rajasthan, with its 300 days a year of sunshine and relatively cheap desert land, has set a goal even more ambitious than Indias. In this years state budget, the newly formed state government announced it hoped to install 25,000 megawatts of solar energy in the state within the next five years, and infrastructure to transmit that power to the national grid. Rajasthan is no newcomer to renewable energy. Since the 1990s, the state has been home to a range of wind energy projects, with about 2,800 megawatts of wind capacity now installed, out of an estimated potential capacity of 5,000 megawatts. Altogether wind power in Rajasthan accounts for about 13 percent of Indias wind energy production. But Rajasthans Great Indian Thar Desert, the test site for Indias first underground explosion of a nuclear weapon 15 years ago, may now help make India a solar power as well. The desert set in Rajasthans largest district Jaisalmer, near the border with Pakistan, it is a place of sand dunes and shrub thickets – but also, increasingly, solar installations that could help change the character of Indias energy development. India committed at the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change negotiations in Copenhagen in 2009 to reduce its climate-changing emissions, per unit of GDP, by 20 to 25 percent by 2020, compared to 2005 levels. The country is currently the worlds seventh largest emitter of global warming pollution and the fifth biggest producer of emissions from burning fossil fuels. Sixty-eight percent of those emissions from fossil fuel use come from creating energy for the worlds second most populous country, according to Indias energy ministry. Today the country has 2.28 million megawatts of power generating capacity, and about 12.4 percent of that comes from renewable energy. Of the 2,632 megawatts of solar power now installed in India, Rajasthan so far has only 730 megawatts, putting it in second place behind the state of Gujarat, with 916 megawatts, according to Indias Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. But Rajasthan, Indias largest state and 60 percent covered by sunny desert, is now attracting the worlds interest as a solar hotspot. Around 1 lakh (100,000) square kilometers of barren land is available in the northwest arid belt of the state at cheaper rates that could be utilized for large scale solar projects. The government is formulating the policy to harness the enormous solar potential of the region to meet the countrys growing energy requirements. Besides large solar installations, the government is studying the possibility of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic units for households. The Solar Energy Corporation of India estimates that 130 million homes could potentially be equipped with the units, creating 25,000 megawatts of generating capacity. said Alok, Rajasthans Energy Secretary.

Energy use always increases, especially fossil energy. Through the National Energy Policy, the government continues to strive to increase the role of new and renewable energy sources so as to reduce dependence on fossil energy. Solar power generation is a type of renewable energy generator that capable to convert solar energy to electric energy. The main components of solar power generatios are batteries, solar panels, charger controllers, and inverters.  Solar power generations technology itself is always being developed, such as automatic monitoring and sun tracking systems designed to improve system performance. One of the applications of solar power generations is in the household sector. In this sector consumes 49% of the national electricity energy in 2018. This type of generator is categorized as a roof solar power generations. Based on existing data, there were 1400  roof solar power generations users in September 2019. The development of solar energy utilization for the household sector is very appropriate because it can help achieve renewable energy about 23% in 2025 and 31% in 2050 in the national energy mix.

Emergency Portable Solar Power Supply is a product which uses renewable energy sources as the main sources of electricity which is sunlight. According to World Energy Outlook (WEO) 2018, the percentage of renewable energy used as a source to generate electricity grew by 17% higher than the 10-year average and solar energy contributed more than a third despite accounting for just 21% of the total. The main objective of this product is to create clean energy emergency portable solar power supply by using non-conventional energy source and green technology which can be used during any contingency happens and also for the usage for rural area with non-electric power source. This project was started by calculation of the system design for determining the characteristic that need to be used for all components that related to this solar system such as battery, charge controller, solar panel and etc. The overall system of this portable solar power supply is 12V system. This design can last for 2 days without charging and the minimum hour for the battery to be charged is around 6 hours. This product can supply maximum up to 100W of DC and AC power supply. In a conclusion, this product is very portable and greener product the usage of solar energy as the main sources to generate electricity.

Solar energy is on a rising trend internationally and in India. The government target of 100 GW solar capacity by 2022 from the present 12 GW is providing a major push for growth in India. However technological development and market competitiveness are pushing down the prices of solar power. The CEO of Amplus Solar has to deal with these challenges to ensure faster growth. He is analysing various options such as expanding the market to include customers who may not be as credit worthy, expanding to foreign geographies, diversification into providing energy efficiency and other services, and entering other markets such as Renewable Energy Certificates, carbon trading, etc.


Subject The outlook for solar power in Mexico. Significance Mexico's second-largest solar park -- Central Los Santos Solar I -- began operations on April 18. Its inauguration followed the first long-term power auction to supply the state-owned utility Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) on March 28, and is part of a modest expansion of solar power infrastructure in the north of the country. Impacts The government plans to hold an electricity tender every year, with the terms released in April. The outcome of the second long-term power auction will be made public on September 30. According to Under-Secretary of Clean Energy Efrain Villanueva Arcos, the government may increase further its clean energy goals for 2021.

Indo-china both the countries are fighting for development due to huge population inferences and the competition is neck to neck. launch of prime minister’s ambitious plan of “make in India” is showing glimpse of the courage and dream – solar trains, solar parks, solar lamps etc.., needs appropriate and with full facilities of infrastructure as well and energy as a major production component.. The Jawaharlal Nehru Solar Mission is a major initiative step for encouraging the production of solar energy. The Government of India and the State Governments promoting ecologically sustainable growth through renewable energy. It will help not only in fighting the challenges of climate change as well as helps in enlighten the life of rural India too. The positive possibilities of doing business in India and the growing interest of companies are noticeable in Business Claimant Survey 2015-16. Changes in the perception of companies in India providing stable, predictable business environment are steps to take. This paper discusses about cost of renewable energy, production technique, establishment knowhow, importance of solar energy (particularly for India), economic and environmental benefits, issues and prospects of solar energy and Governmental efforts


Subject Morocco renewables. Significance Morocco showcased the progress it has made with the development of renewable energy at the COP21 climate change conference in Paris. At the conference, Morocco pledged to increase the renewable contribution to its electricity mix to 52% by 2030. The government has already set a target of 42% of its electricity generating capacity based on renewables by 2020: 14% each from hydro, wind and solar plants. Impacts Morocco can derive political and diplomatic benefits by projecting itself as a leading global force in developing clean energy. It will have an even better opportunity to do so when it hosts the COP22 meeting in Marrakech in November 2016. Morocco's renewable energy projects have been underpinned by subsidies, but these are likely to diminish as costs fall. Depending on technology, Morocco could export electricity generated from renewables to Europe and countries in north and west Africa.


Subject Renewable and coal energy in China. Significance Late last month, China upgraded its target for renewable energy and issued a draft plan for green energy certificates. This follows a new three-year anti-pollution plan issued in July. These strategies to clean up the energy sector are being pursued at the same time as the government is introducing competition in the power sector, planning a nationwide carbon trading market starting with the power sector and reinforcing its clean energy policy. Impacts Central government will press hard on local governments across northern China to fight air pollution. Natural gas imports will rises, especially once new LNG gasification and import pipeline capacity comes onstream over the coming year. A new 'green certificate' scheme should boost the share of renewable energy in China’s electricity supply. The continued growth of coal-fired generating capacity may blunt the influence of the green certificate scheme.

Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power Limited (QASPL) was a public sector, a for-profit company established by the Government of Punjab in 2013. The company was assigned the task of setting up renewable energy projects, in general, and solar energy power projects, in particular. The project was part of a wider initiative by the Government of Punjab under its Punjab 2025 vision to establish a 1,000 MW solar park in Bahawalpur.

This paper highlights how factors which were once considered curse for Rajasthan have turned into boon. Two critical resources that are essential to solar power production namely high level of solar radiation per square inch and large amounts of contiguous, relatively flat, undeveloped land is abundant there. In order to tap the huge potential of Rajasthan for solar energy, the state government has constituted a separate entity, Rajasthan Solar Park Development Company Limited, for better development and management of solar parks. Solar industry is expected to be an economic engine in Rajasthan creating jobs across the State and spur billions in economic growth and tax revenue along with powering remotely connected households. Barmer, Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur are the key regions with best solar radiation in the State. Seeing the market attractiveness the State has stimulated interest among several developers to commit a pipeline of generation projects. Rajasthan has highest allocation of projects including both Solar Photovoltaic and Concentrated Solar Power under Phase I of National Solar Mission. Rajasthan has competitive advantage based on the availability of relatively low cost land for industrial use. Adequate availability of electricity enables the development of solar manufacturing industry, which is energy intensive. The State has a comparative advantage on labor cost compared to its peer states. Proximity to NCR helps in access to industrial labor and managerial talent. Rajasthan has excellent proximity to end user market as well as supplier base for raw material, providing logistics cost advantage as well. The State has excellent medical facilities, it has a peaceful environment, good social infrastructure and strong tourism brand thus providing better quality of life. The new investor friendly Solar Policy aims to establish Rajasthan as a national leader in solar energy in phased manner by creating the policy frame work for promoting use of solar energy in various applications. Various incentives provided under the policy by the State Government include exemption from electricity duty, grant of incentives available to industries and availability of water for power generation. The Government has also announced special scheme for setting up of new enterprise, expansion, modernization and diversification, and projects set-up for common social good. Various Subsidies and Exemption from Taxes under various categories of investment are also being provided

The research is aimed at analyzing and finding the reasons for the specific development of the solar energy market of Ukraine, defining the interaction on the part of the State and its role, furthermore the role of monopolists-generators and small generating equipment in private households. As result of the research, the following issues are considered: specifics of the formation of a share of the segment of solar power plants among renewable energy sources; the largest companies – solar energy generators in Ukraine; dynamics of changes in the «green» tariff and installed capacity of solar power plants over the past decade; development of the direction of small solar power plants installed by households and the largest generating regions of Ukraine by both the number and the installed capacity of the households’ SPP. Analyzing modern analytical reports on renewable energy generation, it is appropriate to note that a system of indicators, which is being created currently to reflect the real state of development of renewable energy, indicates a certain prospect of scientific research in this direction. Modern problems of development of the generating renewable energy market are defined, among which the following are defined: changes in legislation on the «green» tariff, which leads to changes in the investment climate and attractiveness of generation projects, the conflicting mechanisms of tariff auctions; potential threat of shortage of both storage and transport capacities (due to disproportionate development of generation volumes and its infrastructure support) etc. Based on the analysis of existing development trends, conclusions have been drawn about the future state and development of the solar energy generation market. The need to form a balanced national strategy for the development of renewable energy, taking into account the current conditions for reducing the «green» tariff and the cost of generating equipment, as well as taking into account the national interests of the State, the interests of monopolists and households, has been established.
