This paper presents an efficient numerical integration method for a volume dynamics model in gas turbine engine transient simulations. It is a modified implicit Euler method that allows a time increment that would not be stable with the explicit Euler method. The Jacobian matrix of a nonlinear engine model is evaluated along the steady state engine operation line and scheduled as a function of the corrected shaft speed in advance, eliminating the necessity of computing during the simulation. The proposed method was applied to transient simulations of a compressor rig test model composed of a compressor, a nozzle with variable geometry and a volume placed between them. The eigenvalues of the simplified volume dynamics were analytically derived. It is shown that they are functions of the characteristic time of the volume defined by mass present in the volume divided by mass flow rate flowing into and out of the volume and dimensionless influence coefficients of nearby components.

It is worthwhile to design a more accurate dynamic model for air springs, to investigate the dynamic behaviour of an air spring suspension, and to analyse and guide the design of vehicles with air spring suspensions. In this study, a dynamic model of air spring was established, considering the heat transfer process of the air springs. Two different types of air spring were tested, and the experimental results verified the effectiveness of the air spring model compared with the traditional model. The key factors affecting the computation accuracy were studied and checked by comparing the results of the experiments and simulations. The new dynamic model of the air spring was integrated into the full-vehicle multi-body dynamics model, in order to investigate the air suspension behaviour and vehicle dynamics characteristics. The co-simulation method using ADAMS and MATLAB/Simulink was applied to integration of the air spring model with the full-vehicle multi-body dynamics model.

Analyzed and studied the hydro-pneumatic buffer structure of railway vehicle, designed a new type of hydro-pneumatic buffer and established the detailed dynamics model. Calculated the static characteristic curve of hydro-pneumatic buffer with different compression rate and dynamic characteristic curve with different impact speed through the numerical simulation method. The simulation results shows that the biggest impedance force is 1836.3KN and buffer capacity reach 221.89KJ when impact velocity of the new hydro-pneumatic buffer is 5m/s.New hydro-pneumatic buffer can improve the speed of manipulating vehicle, reduce the longitudinal impact and vibration in the train and adapt to the needs of the trains.

There is still lack of effective modeling and simulation method for complex electromechanical coupling system. Modelica is a multi-domain unified modeling language to solve the modeling and simulation problems of the complex and heterogeneous physical systems. Dymola is a Modelica-based modeling and simulation platform for the complex physical systems. In this paper, the dynamics model of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM)-precision reducer system is established using Lagrange-Maxwell equation. The simulation model of this system is set up with Modelica language. The simulation of the system is realized in Dymola. Results show that the system can respond to good static and dynamic characteristics under a given speed for different loads. The dynamics model of the PMSM-precision reducer system can be further used in system control and optimization. The proposed modeling and simulation method based on Modelica may be commonly applied to other complex electromechanical systems.

With the improvement of the load and speed of belt conveyor, the dynamic characteristic problem of belt conveyer appears especially outstanding. This paper analyzed the force situation of the conveyer by the discrete dynamics model, divided n viscoelastic properties mass units in advance, then built system analysis dynamics model by vibration mechanics, built modal neutral file of the flexible belt block by means of finite element analysis software, and built the virtual prototype model of the belt conveyor using ADMAS program. It analyzed the effect of stiffness and damping of belt on the starting process by dynamic characteristics simulation method. The simulation results showed that the speed wave period of belt with the smaller stiffness was longer and the peak was bigger, the belt speed easily occurred stronger surge, the transverse vibration of belt conveyor became more violent. With the increasing of stiffness, the belt speed wave peak value decreased. As the same time, the speed surge also decreased when other operation parameters of the belt conveyer system are fixed, with increasing of the damping, the dynamic tension force peak became smaller gradually, it led to decrease of vibration curve peak. Damping coefficient played the important role in decreasing the vibration intensity, the research result offers a new basis for the analysis and study of the dynamic characteristics of belt conveyor.

At present, the performance of the vehicle dynamics model is mainly evaluated objectively through offline simulation. In this paper, a vehicle dynamics model was implemented in dSPACE, which was applied to the Automotive Performance Simulator and the preliminary study was made for the realization of the subjective evaluation of the performance of vehicle dynamics model through the real-time closed-loop online simulation. The dSPACE interface library was used to write a Clib program to operate and control the Carsim RT model running on the dSPACE platform, which realized the communication between the external hardware and the real-time hardware of dSPACE.
