The objective of the work focuses on determining the importance of resilience in the teaching-learning process of students with disabilities at the Technical University of Manabí, for this purpose an exploration is carried out to verify the criterion on this concept students group. The work deals with contemporary contextual aspects that may favor a psychosocial approach to resilience. The article is based on qualitative research based on the qualitative interpretative-hermeneutic paradigm. The theoretical referents were consigned from the bibliographic review, with the purpose of confronting them with the empirical phase that allowed to unravel the individual representations of the interviewees about the resilience. The results of the research show that resilience is widely known, although an important bias is maintained in its representation related to a more individual than the social view, which could limit its influence as a pedagogical factor.

The current analysis starts from a teacher’s experience with cognitively disabled students. In such cases, the management of the teaching-learning process is challenged by the limitations of various activities (generalizations, abstraction or inductive-deductive operations). In these situations, the teacher has to select effective activities for developing the competences in the curriculum. In this context, success could only be obtained if proper attention is given to the individual learning needs of each student. At the same time, an emotional relationship that is based on trust needs to be developed between the teacher and the students and their parents. The communication competence is a priority since it is absolutely necessary for the social integration of students with disabilities as it provides the means to express feelings, needs and views. The challenge to plan adequate teaching strategies is correlated with understanding the child’s real issue and its timely solution: the more serious the cognitive disability, the later speech develops and remains at a low level in the adult life, generating difficulties in expressing thought and emotion. If the youngsters experience a false disability triggered by the lack of educational stimulation or if they have an authentic cognitive disability, these students need sustained support. The examples of interventions we present in this paper come from our attempts to best value the intellectual potential of these children and, consequently, to find solutions for a differentiated adaptation to each child’s needs by planning competence-oriented creative teaching activities.

The objective of the work is to identify the most preeminent elements of resilience in the face of disability at the Technical University of Manabí. To do this, a wide-ranging exploration and bibliographical study was carried out, which allowed us to return to the criteria addressed by several authors recognized internationally in the study of resilience and especially those of the Latin American area. The work deals with contemporary contextual aspects that may be favorable to the psychosocial approach to resilience. The article is based on research based on the qualitative interpretative paradigm. The theoretical referents were consigned from the bibliographic review, to compare them with the empirical phase that allowed interpreting the individual representations of disabled youth about resilience. The results of the research show that resilience is widely known, although an important bias is maintained in its representation related to a more individual than the social view, which could limit its influence as a pedagogical factor.

An improved teaching-learning-based optimization with combining of the social character of PSO (TLBO-PSO), which is considering the teacher’s behavior influence on the students and the mean grade of the class, is proposed in the paper to find the global solutions of function optimization problems. In this method, the teacher phase of TLBO is modified; the new position of the individual is determined by the old position, the mean position, and the best position of current generation. The method overcomes disadvantage that the evolution of the original TLBO might stop when the mean position of students equals the position of the teacher. To decrease the computation cost of the algorithm, the process of removing the duplicate individual in original TLBO is not adopted in the improved algorithm. Moreover, the probability of local convergence of the improved method is decreased by the mutation operator. The effectiveness of the proposed method is tested on some benchmark functions, and the results are competitive with respect to some other methods.

This study discusses the accessibility of university education in the four public universities in Yogyakarta; Indonesian Arts Institute (ISI), University of Gajah Mada (UGM),Yogyakarta State University (UNY), and State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga. Upto now, the disability groups have not got an equal access and the opportunity in a higher education. There are only a few students with disabilities that are accepted in Universities in Indonesia, because of physical limitations that would interfere the teaching-learning process in their classrooms. The research findings showed that the education systems in the UGM, Yogyakarta State University, and the ISI have a system of “integration”, while at UIN has led to the inclusion system, that is “accommodative” and has the ability to service for persons with disabilities.

Culture and awareness are two flexible concepts that are related to the social nature and its development, and the creative and scientific activities of humans since time immemorial. Awareness is developed by humans living their social life, the way they react towards their environment that consists of people, the average of their knowledge and the way they react to the things around them. What distinguishing the individual self-awareness is the human's ability to make any decision and their knowledge of their general behavior. in the light of taking what we need of the information, data, properties and characteristics, we give the youth their needs of activities, movement, awareness and culture through setting codified thoughtful programs. Therefore, we need to know the following: Are the attitudes of the males differ from the attitudes of the females of practicing sports? The importance of the research lies in the fact that it is one of the few studies that takes into consideration sport culture and health of an important segment, which is the youth. One of the results of the research is that the physical activity that the youth do in sports centers (gyms) that brings important benefits like prevention of diseases. Learning strategies are the key tools to determine the approach for achieving the learning goal. They are included in different phases of teaching learning process. They are usually tied to the needs and interests of students to enhance their learning efficiency. This article aims at exploring perspectives and practices of learning strategies in learning English language. For this, phenomenological descriptive qualitative research was conducted with a class of 48 students of Bachelor in Education at a constituent campus, under Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Both the class of the students and campus were selected purposively to meet the requirement of phenomenological study. Thirty classes were observed as a participant as well as teacher and from the same group of the students only ten students were interviewed. Then, the data from both the sources were triangulated, interpreted and analyzed descriptively. From this study, it was interpreted that students employed various strategies to learn different language skills and aspects. The study revealed that students felt difficulty in selecting proper learning strategy for learning grammatical rules due to many exceptional cases and listening skill due to their less time devotion on it while the felt ease to select and employ proper strategies in learning vocabulary.
