The construction materialindustry is one of the most rapidly growing sectors, with many achievements both in Vietnam and in Asia. In recent years, its rapid growth has produced revenues from business activities. One of the key objectives of thispaper is to assess market risk volatility in construction material businesses in the 2012-2014 pre-low inflation period. Our first findings are to be found that beta values in general (< 1) for most of our constructionmaterialcompanies are appropriate when we apply quantitative, statistical and analytical methods to evaluate the asset beta and beta CAPM of 20 listed Viet Nam construction materialcompanies. However, we analyze the market risk volatility, determined byasset and equitybeta var, during the post-low inflation period in thissector and compare results in two circumstances: risk fluctuation in pre-law inflation time 2012-14is lower than that in post-low inflation period 2015-2017.Finally, if we observe in2 periods, BetaCAPM or equity beta mean goes up in case post-low inflation period. At last, policies in risk management and governance are suggested in the conclusion based on the research results and findings. In the post-low inflation environment, we alert that Beta fluctuations could bea little higher.JEL classification numbers:G00, G390, C83

The objective of this paper is to establish a dichotomy - opposing analytical methods (such as Queue Theory) to experimental methods (such as Simulation) and discussing their adequateness to complex operations - set up in the matter of dimensioning the handling capacity of a large brazilian call centers company. The literature related to the application of such methods at call centers is reviewed, and the way the question is treated nowadays by the company is described. Then an experimental approach is suggested to be implemented as an alternative methodology to deal with the issue, instead of the analytical method in use. The results obtained are used to justify the adequacy of the experimental approach to the modern call centers operation, as long as it is possible to have the model closer to reality. The main implication points to a better understanding of the operation achieved with the new approach

It is critical to understand whether the available drilling assembly could meet the requirements of drilling design during the design and drilling of horizontal wells. This paper pointed out several limitations on horizontal extension capability of horizontal wells and provided judging criteria of the limit of horizontal extension based upon the characteristics of horizontal wells, and set up the gap element model analyzing torque and dragged of whole drill strings in horizontal wells. According to the force analysis of drill strings in bores given the foundation for regularities in the distribution of torque and drag force along the axis, on the basis of those above mentioned models and theories, a software was made to calculate the torque and drag force of a well, which compared with the field data, the average discrepancies of theoretical values are below 20% that could meet the needs in field works.

: As shown in this review, numerous analytical methods have been included to distinguish pigments in tattoo, paint, and ink items. The selection of method was depend upon the purpose, e.g. quantification or identification of pigments only. The introduction part in this review focuses on describing the importance to set up a pigment associated safety profile. Different degradation chemical substances formed as well as impurity trends can be indicated by doing a chemical investigation of pigments in tattoo products. It is noteworthy, the pigment recognition in tattoo inks can work as a preliminary method to identify the pigments in a patient's tattoo before removed by laser therapy. Contrary to the study of forbidden pigments, the identification process would usually require just a few indication substances for positive dye. In general, the tattoo pigments are almost insoluble in aqueous solution and lots of organic solvents, various pigment analyzes have been identified and assessed. It is proposed that in the future, laboratories concerned with tattoo substance analysis should have access to extensive pigment specifications and spectroscopic databases. The most important and recent physiological side effects of tattooing have been discussed in this review.

<p>Red tide, which occurs off the southern coast of the Korean Peninsula, is a maritime phenomenon that usually occurs between June and September every year, mostly by Cochlodinium polykrikoides single species. There are very few studies using the analytical methods of the inherent and apparent optical properties for these red tide. Ahn et al.(2009) analyzed the inherent optical properties of 26 species of red tide organisms occurring off the southern coast of the Korean Peninsula. Kim et al.(2016) distinguished the optical characteristics for Cochlodinium polykrikoides using field data and Hydrolight simulator. Using these analytical methods, we will understand the ocean optical properties of red tide and use the remote sensing reflectance simulator in the future to produce the input data necessary for developing the red tide analysis technology based on machine learning. Therefore, in this study, as an initial analysis, we will compare the in-situ data of red tide and non-red tide waters off the southern coast of the Korean Peninsula in September 2014 and August 2017 to identify differences in the spectral form and compare the ability of the remote sensing reflectance spectrum with the field data using a remote sensing reflectance simulator.</p>

It is the objective of the present study to determine the general behaviour of an estuary under the reduction of its freshwater discharge. A unidimensional mathematical model, using the finite differences method, has been set up for this purpose. Although this model is very simple and not costly, the output results are quite good. The influence of a reduction of the freshwater discharge upon the tide propagation and the salinity distribution within the estuary is studied. The Koksoak River (now called the Kuujjuaq), which flows into Ungava Bay, has served as model for the present work. One of the goals of the study was to verify if simple geometries, having linear and exponential variations along the river, could be used in the mathematical study of the Koksoak River. Although the present field data are not complete and precise enough to obtain satisfying results of the case under study, i.e., the Koksoak River, general trends are clearly put forward with respect to the comparison between the simulated canals and the river itself. Further field measurements are expected to improve results, which would then predict more accurately the behaviour of this estuary.

Series of GNSS receiver tests allowed to determine real accuracy of RTN measurements. Repeated measurements allowed to estimate accuracy in function of used navigation satellite system, duration of measurements and field conditions on measurement site which are related to horizon visibility by obstacles (bushes). Research results indicate no dependency between the technology used and the measurement accuracies obtained and significant impact of the conditions on set-up on the measurement's results.

Reliability optimum design of the mechanical system is studied thoroughly based on the existing research results. Taking the 2K-H planetary reducer of PCP system as the physical mode, the main target of optimization is module, breadth of tooth and number of teeth. The objective function for obtaining a smaller gearbox volume is set up and the requirement of reliability is taken into account. The optimum solution is obtained by the complex method. The result is in conformity with the requirement and it indicates that the synthesis effect is satisfied. The reduction of volume is beneficial to improve PCP system performance.
