Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian proyek berbasis model discovery learning yang layak digunakan dan sebagai salah satu inovasi pengembangan penilaian proyek secara lebih oprasional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan mengintegrasikan model 4-D dengan model pengembangan instrumen non tes. Subjek uji coba yaitu peserta didik Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Depok, Kabupaten Sleman. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui: (1) penilaian berdasarkan masukan para ahli, untuk menentukan validitas isi instrumen; (2) hasil uji coba terbatas untuk menentukan reliabilitas instrumen, instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar observasi penilaian proyek untuk mengukur keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Instrumen penilaian proyek berbasis model discovery learning yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dan reliabel sehingga layak digunakan serta terbukti dapat digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik.Kata Kunci: penilaian proyek, keterampilan pemecahan masalah, discovery learning, pembelajaran IPA Developing Discovery-Learning Based Natural Sciences Learning Project Assessment to Assess Problem Solving Skill  AbstractThis research aims to develop project-based assessment instruments model discovery learning a proper use. This research is research development by integrating 4-D model with the model development of noninstrument test. The subject of the test i.e. learners Class VIII Junior High School of Muhammadiyah 3 Depok Sleman Regency. The data in this study were obtained through (1) assessment based on the input of experts, to determine the validity of the content of the instrument; (2) the limited Test Results to determine the reliability of the instrument, the instrument of data collection in the form of sheets of observation project assessment to measure problem-solving skills. This research aimed to produce science learning material guided inquiry base a feasible to practice problem solving skills on topic mirror. The learning material was tested to VIII grade students of SMPN 1 Sedati Sidoarjo of the academic year 2014/2015. This research was one which used 4-D model development that was modified 3D (dissemination stage is not done). The test device used one group pretest-posttest design. Result of the research showed validity of learning material well categorized and could be used in learning with few revisions resulted realibility in RPP assessment, worksheet, student learning result and problem solving skills as much as 98%, 98,70%, (95,80% and 98,60%), and 98,82%. Based on result, research discussion, could be summarized that guided inquiry based science learning material to practice problem solving skills on topic mirror is feasible to be used in learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang layak untuk melatihkan keterampilan memecahkan masalah pada pokok bahasan cermin. Perangkat pembelajaran tersebut diujikan pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Sedati Sidoarjo tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4-D yang dimodifikasi menjadi 3D (tahap desiminasi tidak dilakukan). Rancangan ujicoba perangkat menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validitas perangkat pembelajaran berkategori baik dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan sedikit revisi diperoleh reliabilitas penilaian RPP, LKS, hasil belajar siswa, dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah sebesar 98%, 98,70%, (95,80% dan 98,60%), dan 98,82. Berdasarkan hasil dan diskusi penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk melatihkan keterampilan memecahkan masalah pada pokok bahasan cermin layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Mathematical problem solving ability is one of the most important abilities students must have to process the information provided in solving problems. Before using mathematical problem solving skills, prior knowledge becomes the most crucial thing that makes students able to connect all available information so that they can construct new knowledge through the process of assimilation or accommodation.The purpose of this reseach is to:(1) Analyze prior knowledge what student has so the student can solve the problem of tangent circle given; (2) Know how learning trajectory in student’s mathematical problem solving ability by applying metacognition approach. This reaseacrch is a design research to improve the quality of learning. In this reseacrh researchers gave 3 test questions on students’ mathematical problem solving abilities. One trial was conducted in class VIII-B and trial II was conducted in class VIII-A, each consisting of 30 students junior high school. The result of students answer analysis shows the mast problematic topic that makes the studnts are difficult to solve the problem is about the tangent cicrcle that is the elements of the circle and the concept of circle circumtance there are three phased in learning path of students mathematical problem solving skill that are under standing the problem, making the problem solving plan by prrior knowledge and doing problem solving and evaluating it. From this explanation, it is better for teachers to ensure students have sufficient prior knowledge to make it easier to construct new knowledge, as well as make the learning process fun and meaningful so that students will remember knowledge in long-term memory.

This study is development research, which aims at developing Natural Sciences (IPA) learning tools for SMP (junior high school) based on discovery learning oriented on problem solving skills and learning outcomes on acidic-base and salt material which is valid, practical and effective. The development model employed in this study referred to 4D development model, which consisted of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The learning tools developed are RPP, LKPD, BAPD, Media, and THB. The IPA learning tools for SMP based on discovery learning which had been developed was then validated by two experts. After being validated, the test of learning tools based on discovery learning was conducted at SMPN 36 Makassar in grade VII.9 with the total of 32 students. The results of the study reveal that the learning tools based on discovery learning developed which had been validated indicates that the mean score is 3.74 which is in very valid criteria. The learning tools based on discovery learning is stated as practical and effective, because the results of the practically test reveal (1) the implementation of learning tools based on discovery learning is in the average of M = 1.9 in the category of (1.5 ≤ M ≤ 2.0) meaning that the aspects and criteria observed on the implementation of learning tools based on discovery learning is in entirely implemented category, (2) the teacher gave a very positive response on the learning tools based on discovery learning with the percentage of 92.07%, and (3) the students gave a very positive response on the learning tools based on discovery learning with the percentage of 92.77%. The learning tools is also met the criteria of effective with the following results: (1) the improvement of problem solving skills of students from 27.22% becomes 74.50%, (2) the learning outcomes has met effective criteria that the average of the percentage is 83.48% with the classical completeness 87.50%, whereas, the improvement of learning outcomes based on N-gain test is 0.82 with high criteria. Therefore, the results of the study shows that the product of learning tools developed is categorized as valid, practical, and effective.

This reseach is aimed at knowing the students ability in both solving the math problem and connection those who are taught by Problem Based Learning at class VIII of the Junior High school 28 Padang 2017/2018. This research is categorized as quasy Experimental Research, by using Randomized Control Group Only Design. After implementing the Problem Based Leaning, the student was directly given the test as the result showed that the score  of the student who belong to the experimental class in  problem solving recorded as 74,00 while those who were in the control class only refers to 72,30. The test average score on the experimental class in term of math connection ability was 68,73; while in the control class recorded as 62,43. The T- Test showed that T-Table equals to 1,64 with the degree of reliability 95% . This fact reveals that the students’ ability in solving the problem after being taught through Problem Based Learning is higher than in control class with T-count equals to 3,71; while their connection math ability through Problem Based Learning Model in the Experimental Class is higher than control with T-count 2.17.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, problem solving, mathematics connection

This study aims to determine whether the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving skills that get the learning of Model-Eliciting Activities is better than students who get regular learning. Method in this research is experiment and research design pretest and postest in experiment and control class. The population in this study were all students of MTs Kota Cimahi. School samples were taken at random, and obtained by MTs Negeri Kota Cimahi. Then the sample is selected two class VIII at random class. The experimental class uses Model-Eliciting Activities, while the control class uses ordinary learning. The hypothesis in this research is the improvement of student solving abilities of MTs students in Cimahi whose learning using Model-Eliciting Activities is better than using ordinary learning. Research data obtained through the instrument of posttest mathematical problem solving ability. The posttest data is processed by normality test, homogeneity test, and two average difference test using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) software version 16.0 for Windows. The results showed that the improvement of problem solving ability of MTs students in Cimahi whose learning using Model-Eliciting Activities was better than those using ordinary learning.

Purpose of study: This study aims to measure the level of students' problem-solving skills, using assessment instruments in the form of multiple-choice tests based on the multiple representation approach on DC electrical circuits. Methodology: This research is a quantitative descriptive involving 46 students of physics education. Students are asked to solve the problem of DC electrical circuits on 12 multiple choice questions with open reasons, involving verbal, mathematical, and picture representations. Data were analyzed by determining means and standard deviations. Main findings: The results of the study showed that there were 3 levels of students' problem-solving skills, namely 7 (15%) students in the high category, 22 (48%) students in the medium category and 17 (37%) students in the low category. Applications of this study: The implication of this research is to continuously develop assessment instruments based on multiple representations in the form of various types of tests, to help students improve their conceptual understanding, so students can solve physics problems correctly. The novelty of this study: Researchers explain the right way to solve physics problems, 1) students are trained to focus on identifying problems, 2) students are accustomed to planning solutions using a clear approach, to build an understanding of concepts, 3) students are directed to solve problems accordingly with understanding the concepts they have built.

This research aims to determine the results of the development of web-based learning media for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) which is valid and practical. This learning media development model refers to the 4-D development model (Four D-Model). This research was conducted at Unismuh Makassar Junior High School with research subjects 30 students and 1 teacher Islamic Education. The instruments used were validation sheets, student activity, teacher response and students. The data collection techniques used observation sheet instruments and student and teacher response questionnaires. The analysis used is descriptive qualitative statistical analysis. Based on the results of research and development shows that the media developed after validation is declared valid and reasonable for testing. The results of testing practicality show that the web-based learning media is practical because it has fulfills the criteria with the results: 1) students' activities in learning are carried out as expected, 2) teachers give excellent responses and, 3) students provide good response to the learning media. So it can be concluded that in the development of learning media activities fulfill valid and practical criteria used in the learning process especially in PAI subjects in class VIII.

The implementation of the 2013 Curriculum is to create a creative and innovative person. One of the right approaches is Problem Solving. Circulatory system material is the material that suits the problem solving approach. Less varied teaching materials will make the learning process becomes monotonous so that learners are not interested to learn. Therefore, a research aimed to produce problem-based solving module with mind map of circulatory system material for students of class VIII SMP.This research is a development research using development procedure from Plomp with three stages: initial investigation stage, development stage or prototype, and assessment phase. The object of this research is problem solving module minded mind map, and the subject of research is teachers and learners SMPN 15 Padang.Validity results obtained an average of 86.46% with valid criteria. The results of small group practice test (small group) obtained an average of 100% very practical category. Modular practicality test obtained an average result of 83.33% with practical category, while learners of 79.32% with practical category. It can be concluded that problem solving module with mind map about circulation system material for students of class VIII SMP has been valid and practical.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran bercirikan Active Knowledge Sharing dengan pendekatan saintifik dalam upaya meningkatkan pengetahuan, kemampuanpemecahan masalah, dan sikap terhadap matematika siswa SMP Kelas VIII Semester 2 yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Development Research). Penelitian ini mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran yang meliputi: silabus; Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP); dan Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan, Semmel, dan Semmel. Hasil validasi menunjukkan perangkat yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa perangkat yang dikembangkan praktis dan efektif. Ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal sudah mencapai kriteria minimal 80% yaitu untuk tes pengetahuan mencapai 97,2%, sedangkan tes pemecahan masalah mencapai 95,4%. Berdasarkan angket sikap terhadap matematika, 98,1% siswa menunjukkan peningkatan skor sikap terhadap matematika, dan 94,4% siswa menunjukkan sikap terhadap matematika dengan kategori minimal baik.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, active knowledge sharing, saintifik Developing the learning kit characterized by active knowledge sharing with scientific approach for grade VIII AbstractThis research aimed to produce valid, practical, and effective learning kit characterized by Active Knowledge Sharing with Scientific Approach, as an effort to improve knowledge, problem-solving skills, and attitudes toward mathematics among Junior High School students in Class VIII Semester 2. This was a research and developmental study. The learning kit developed consist of: syllabus; lesson plans; and students worksheets. This developmental study refers to the model 4-D suggested by Thiangarajan, Semmel & Semmel. The results of the validation shows that the kit developed was valid with “very good” category. The experimental results show that the kit developed was practical and effective. Classical learning completeness reached at least 80% criterion for the test of knowledge 97.2%, while the troubleshooting tests reached 95.4%. Based on the questionnaire attitudes towards mathematics, 98.1% of students show increased scores for attitudes toward mathematics and 94.4% of students show attitudes towards mathematics with minimum category of good.Keywords: developmental study, active knowledge sharing, scientific

The purpose of this research was to reveal how the construction process of symbolic representation and verbal representation made by students in problem solving. The construction process in this study referred to the problem-solving stage by Polya covering; 1) understanding the problem, 2) devising a plan, 3) carrying outthe plan, and 4) looking back. This research was qualitative research by getting involved 4 students of Junior High School class VIII. This study obtained results that the construction process of symbolic representation made by students since in the process of understanding the problem. In understanding the problem, students were able to identify the problem well. Then students could make the symbol used as a variable that the value was not known. By using the symbol students could perform a series of calculation to obtain the value of the symbol. Symbols created by students were very helpful and facilitated students in solving problems. While in the construction process, verbal representation was done by students since the process of understanding the problem. The form of verbal representation was manifested by writing down all information known from a slightly changed problem because they used a language that they understood more. Based on the known information, students could plan and performed a series of calculations using written sentences so that the problems could be solved properly.
