This research aimed to produce science learning material guided inquiry base a feasible to practice problem solving skills on topic mirror. The learning material was tested to VIII grade students of SMPN 1 Sedati Sidoarjo of the academic year 2014/2015. This research was one which used 4-D model development that was modified 3D (dissemination stage is not done). The test device used one group pretest-posttest design. Result of the research showed validity of learning material well categorized and could be used in learning with few revisions resulted realibility in RPP assessment, worksheet, student learning result and problem solving skills as much as 98%, 98,70%, (95,80% and 98,60%), and 98,82%. Based on result, research discussion, could be summarized that guided inquiry based science learning material to practice problem solving skills on topic mirror is feasible to be used in learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang layak untuk melatihkan keterampilan memecahkan masalah pada pokok bahasan cermin. Perangkat pembelajaran tersebut diujikan pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Sedati Sidoarjo tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4-D yang dimodifikasi menjadi 3D (tahap desiminasi tidak dilakukan). Rancangan ujicoba perangkat menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validitas perangkat pembelajaran berkategori baik dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan sedikit revisi diperoleh reliabilitas penilaian RPP, LKS, hasil belajar siswa, dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah sebesar 98%, 98,70%, (95,80% dan 98,60%), dan 98,82. Berdasarkan hasil dan diskusi penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk melatihkan keterampilan memecahkan masalah pada pokok bahasan cermin layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Science learning requires an active role from students, but in general students are taught about the concept of science learning with the teacher as the center (teacher center). The impact is the lack of the role of students in understanding science which should emphasize the active participation of these students. The student should have the observation skills to learn science by maximizing the five senses. Observation skills if they are already proficient, then the initial efforts of students to have Science Process Skills have been fulfilled. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the guided inquiry model with a problem solving approach on students' observation skills on additive and addictive substances in class VIII SMPN 1 Sambit Ponorogo in the 2019/2020 academic year.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen penilaian proyek berbasis model discovery learning yang layak digunakan dan sebagai salah satu inovasi pengembangan penilaian proyek secara lebih oprasional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan mengintegrasikan model 4-D dengan model pengembangan instrumen non tes. Subjek uji coba yaitu peserta didik Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Depok, Kabupaten Sleman. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui: (1) penilaian berdasarkan masukan para ahli, untuk menentukan validitas isi instrumen; (2) hasil uji coba terbatas untuk menentukan reliabilitas instrumen, instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar observasi penilaian proyek untuk mengukur keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Instrumen penilaian proyek berbasis model discovery learning yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dan reliabel sehingga layak digunakan serta terbukti dapat digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik.Kata Kunci: penilaian proyek, keterampilan pemecahan masalah, discovery learning, pembelajaran IPA Developing Discovery-Learning Based Natural Sciences Learning Project Assessment to Assess Problem Solving Skill  AbstractThis research aims to develop project-based assessment instruments model discovery learning a proper use. This research is research development by integrating 4-D model with the model development of noninstrument test. The subject of the test i.e. learners Class VIII Junior High School of Muhammadiyah 3 Depok Sleman Regency. The data in this study were obtained through (1) assessment based on the input of experts, to determine the validity of the content of the instrument; (2) the limited Test Results to determine the reliability of the instrument, the instrument of data collection in the form of sheets of observation project assessment to measure problem-solving skills. The instruments of project-based assessment model of discovery learning developed declared valid and reliability so that the feasibility as well as proven can be used to measure student’s problem-solving skills.Keywords: project assessment, problem-solving skills, discovery learning, learning science

This research is a pre-experimental that aims to know: 1) measuring students’ ability of tenth grade SMA Negeri 1 Watampone in solving physics problem that is taught by using guided inquiry approach, 2) measuring the students’ ability in solving physics problem through guided inquiry approach achieve the level of Minimum Passing Standard. The population and all at once as sample in this research is 36 or all of student at tenth grade SMA Negeri 1 Watampone in 2016/2017 academic year. The research design used in this research is One Shot Case Study. The research instrument is the description test in solving physics problem. The result of descriptive analysis shows that the average score of students’ physics achievement after taugh by using guided inquiry approach is 108 and 12 for standard deviation. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan skor rata-rata hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Watampone setelah diajar dengan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing sebesar 108 dan standar deviasi 12. Hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Watampone dalam memecahkan masalah fisika setelah diajar dengan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing pada pembelajaran fisika mencapai tingkat Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal pada taraf nyata α = 0,05.Kata kunci: pendekatan ikuiri terbimbing; kemampuan memecahkan masalah; statistik deskriptif; statistik inferensial

The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the development of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model based on local wisdom in solving environmental problems and the students’ ability to develop learning media. Research conducted at Educational Faculty and teaching sciences of Pakuan University. This research uses the method of Research and Development with the ADDIE model, comprising analyses, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data were obtained from the validation by three experts, namely learning material expert, learning media expert, and learning model expert. The effectiveness assessment was done by N-Gain assessment environmental problem-solving ability and evaluating the multimedia product. The steps to develop the model are as follows: need analysis, designing learning model development, learning model development, learning model validation by the experts, learning model implementation in class, and model evaluation. The product created by the students from learning through PjBL based on local wisdom is a video about local wisdom. According to the data analysis result, it can be concluded that model development of PjBL based on local wisdom improves their ability to solve environmental problems, the average score is 0.69 in experiment class and the score in control class is 0.055 (scales of 0-1.0). The ability to develop video environmental learning media the score video product in experiment class is 2.4 and in the control class is 2.2 (scales of 1-3).

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran yang valid, praktis, dan efektif; 2) mengetahui hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Makassar tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 setelah digunakan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Thiagarajan (Model 4-D)  dan uji coba perangkat pembelajaran yang  meliputi: RPP, LKPD, dan THB dilaksanakan  pada peserta didik kelas XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Makassar  dengan jumlah 34 orang. Hasil uji coba perangkat dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria sangat valid, praktis dan efektif  digunakan. Kriteria sangat valid diperolah dari nilai rata-rata total keseluruhan aspek dari  RPP sebesar 3,86, LKPD sebesar 3,84, dan THB sebesar 3,81. Kriteria praktis diperoleh dari nilai rata-rata total keseluruhan aspek keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran sebesar 1,68 dengan kategori terlaksana seluruhnya . Kriteria efektif dalam penelitian ini dilihat dari peningkatan pretest-posttest. Hal ini didukung oleh hasil perhitungan N- gain. Kata kunci  : Pengembangan Perangkat, Model Inkuiri Terbimbing, Hasil Belajar   ABSTRACTThe study aims at (1) producing learning device which is valid, practical, and effective, (2) discovering the learning of grade XI at SMAN 1 Makassar of academic year 2018/2019 after the guided inquiri based learning device being used. The type of this study was development research which referred to Thiagarajan (4-d Model) and the test of learning device which covered RPP, LKPD and THB which implemented to grade XI IPA 4 students at SMAN 1 Makassar with the total of 34 students.  The result of the study reveals that the learning device developed has met the criteria of very valid, practical and effective to be applied. The very valid criteria are obtained from the average of the total aspects from RPP 3,86, LKPD 3,84 to beHasil uji coba perangkat dalam THB 3,81. The practical criterion is obtained from the average of the total aspects of learning device implementation by 1,68 with entirely implemented category. The effective criteria are based on the improvement of pretest and posttest. Is the supported by the result of N-Gain. Keywords: Development of device, guided inquiry model, learning outcomes.

The aim of the current research is to identify the extent to which secondary school physics teachers possess the skills to solve physical problems and to identify the differences in their physical problem solving skills according to the gender variables. The research identified physics teachers in secondary schools affiliated with the Directorate of Education in Al-Diwaniyah, for the academic year 2020-2021, and the sample size was (160) teachers who were randomly selected, and by reviewing some studies that dealt with physical problem solving skills, such as the study of (Islami et al., 2018). and study (Prasetyo, 2020). It was found that these studies share a number of points with the current research, but they did not provide a tool for measuring physical problem solving skills. Therefore, the researcher designed a scale of physical problem solving skills, which consisted of (32) items. After the exploratory application, the validity and stability of the study tool was confirmed by appropriate methods, and the correlation of the item’s degree with the total score was calculated, and after applying the test to the sample, the data was processed statistically, as the researcher used the equation of the t-test for one sample to verify that physics teachers possess the skills of solving Physical problems, and the results showed that teachers of physics possess the skills to solve physical problems, and the statistical method was used to verify the differences in the skills of solving physical problems according to gender variables (male and female), and the results showed that there are differences in favor of (male) and the researcher recommended in the light of Results Preparing special training programs by the Ministry of Education to develop physical problem solving skills among physics teachers, and suggested the need to focus on the diversity of solving processes based on physical problem solving skills.

<p>This study aims to investigate the ability of pre-service class teacher at University of Petrain solving mathematical problems using Polya’s Techniques, their level of problem solving skills in daily-life issues. The study also investigates the correlation between their ability to solve mathematical problems and their level of problem solving skills in daily-life issues. The study sample consisted of 65 female students majoring in class teacher. Data were collected using two questionnaires: the mathematical problem solving test which was developed by the researchers and daily life problem solving scale which was developed by (Hamdi, 1998). The findings indicate that students had high level skills in solving daily problems; there are no statistically significant differences in daily problem solving in relation to their academic year or high-school stream. Conversely, the findings also indicate weaknesses in students’ skills in solving mathematical problems, with no statistically significant differences among students in solving mathematical problems according to Polya’s problem solving steps. However, there were statistically significant differences in students’ performance in solving mathematical problems in relation to the mathematical topic, and in favor of measurements and algebra; in addition to statistically significant differences in students’ ability to solve mathematical problems in relation to academic year and high-school stream, but no correlation between students’ abilities in solving mathematical problems and those in solving daily problems.</p>

This study aimed to determine the relationship between routine/non-routine problem-solving achievements and self-regulation skills of seventh-grade students who are educated in Turkey. For this purpose, in the 2016-2017 academic year, 133 seventh-grade students who were randomly selected in Denizli and Bursa provinces were studied. In the scope of the study, students were asked to answer routine/non-routine problem-solving tests, prepared by the researchers and the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ). When the data obtained from the analysis were examined, it was explained that the seventh-grade students attending the study need to develop their routine problem-solving skills and focus more on non-routine problem-solving skill development. Also, it was concluded that there are low-level and positive relationships between students’ routine problem-solving and self-regulation skills, and non-routine problem-solving and self-regulation skills.
