The paper aims to examine the critical success factors that influence the attitude of health consumers and their intention to use the national health portal (MyHEALTH Portal). The study was constructed from two behavioral models; Diffusion of Innovation and Theory of Reasoned Action. It utilized an online survey hosted on the official portal website with a convenience sampling technique of 223 respondents. Results showed complexity did not significantly contribute towards attitude, while trialability and relative advantage showed significant contributions. Meanwhile, attitude influenced health consumers' intention to use the portal, while subjective norms indicated otherwise. Keywords: Diffusion; socio-cognitive; health portal, health consumer eISSN: 2398-4287© 2021. As governments around the world move toward e-governance, a need exists to examine citizens’ willingness to adopt e-governance services. In this paper, the authors identify the success factors of e-governance adoption by teachers in Greece, using the Technology Acceptance Model, the Diffusion of Innovation model and constructs of trust, risk and personal innovativeness. Two hundred thirty primary and secondary education teachers responded to an online survey. LISREL then analyzed the data. Model estimation used the maximum likelihood approach, with the item covariance matrix as input. A SEM validation of the proposed model reveals that personal innovativeness, compatibility and relative advantage are stronger predictors of intention to use, compared to trust, and perceived risk. Findings may enhance policymakers’ capacities by presenting them with an understanding of citizens’ attitudes.

Currently, mobile applications are rapidly developing. One of the most frequently used services by society is online food delivery services. The research intended to scrutinize aspects affecting intentions to use online food delivery services during extraordinary event, like Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in Jabodetabek (Jakarta metropolitan) area. The research adopted TRA (Theory of Reasoned Action) that integrated perceived trustworthiness, perceived relative advantage, perceived risk and attitude toward using to give insights on factors affecting consumers’ intention when using online food delivery services. The data collection was conducted through quantitative, non-probability, purposive sampling method using online questionnaires, that were spread out to all people who have experienced in using online food delivery services at least once, during COVID-19 outbreak (Feb-May 2020). In total, there were valid 127 questionnaires used to analyze the data variables using PLS-SEM method through SMART-PLS 2.0 M3 software. The results find that perceived trustworthiness, perceived relative advantage and perceived risk positively affect consumers’ attitudes toward using. Perceived trustworthiness and attitude toward using positively affects intention to use online food delivery services during Coronavirus outbreak in Jabodetabek area. However, perceived risk negatively affects intention to use online food delivery services during Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in Jabodetabek area.

This chapter introduces Technology Acceptance Model, the Diffusion of Innovation model and constructs of trust, risk and personal innovativeness as a means of studying e-governance adoption. As governments around the world are moving forward in e-governance development it is important to identify factors that determine acceptance under specific circumstances prevailing in each country and give strategic insight to increase the usage of e-governance services. Primary and secondary education teachers responded to an online survey resulting to 230 questionnaires. A SEM validation of the proposed model reveals that Personal Innovativeness, Compatibility and Relative advantage are stronger predictors of intention to use, compared to trust, and perceived risk. The findings give some clues and directions for planning effective e-governance practices and could assist policy-makers with the first guidelines about which areas should be improved in order to enhance e-governance services.

The purpose of this study was to examine the purchase intention of innovative new product (e.g., Galaxy Fold) by integrating behavioral reasoning theory (BRT) to the theory of reasoned action (TRA) and theory of planned behavior (TPB) to test the relative influence of reasons for and reasons against adoption on purchase attitude and purchase intention of Korean consumers. A quantitative research method via an online survey was conducted to test the proposed hypotheses. The sample of the study was 242 Korean consumers who participated in the online survey. Structural equation modeling was conducted by using AMOS 21.0 to test the proposed relationships. The findings showed that value for changes positively related to the reasons for adoption and negatively related to reasons against adoption. Reasons for adoption (e.g., relative advantage, compatibility, simplicity) have a significant positive effect on the purchase attitude, and reasons against adoption (e.g., price barrier, performance barrier, usage barrier) have a significant negative effect on the purchase attitude. Finally, purchase attitude has a significant positive relationship to the purchase intention of innovative new product. The findings of this study offer significant theoretical and managerial contributions in the context of sustainable innovative new product development.

With the liberalization and globalization, Internet has been used as a medium of transaction in almost all aspects of human living. This study is investigating the factors that influencing the intention to use e-government service among Malaysians. This study integrates constructs from the models of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) which been moderated by culture factor and trust model with five dimensions. Structured questionnaire was used to collect data from 195 respondents. The result of the analysis showed that trust, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, compatibility, perceived relative advantage and perceived image respectively has a direct positive significant relationship towards intention to use e-government service and perceived complexity has a significant negative relationship towards intention to use e-government service. While perceived strength of online privacy protection and perceived strength of data integrity have a positive impact on a citizen’s trust to use e-government service. However, the uncertainty avoidance (moderating factor) used in the study has no significant effect on the relationship between the innovation factors (compatibility, complexity, relative advantage and image) and intention to use e-government service. Finally in comparing the explanatory power of the entire intention based model (TAM, DOI and Trust) with the studied model, it has been found that the DOI model has a better explanatory power.

This study aims to determine the influence of the role of parents, financial knowledge, and customer's attitude towards credit card which are determinants of a person's intention to using a credit card. This study applied quantitative data analysis and used an online survey platform as a medium to distribute questionnaires consisting of 22 item statements. A total of 322 responses were collected with 302 valid responses with purposive sampling technique. Structural equation modelling was applied to test the hypothesis. The results of this study indicate that all hypotheses (parents’ role, financial knowledge, and attitude) toward intention to use credit card are accepted and the model is also very good where the coefficient of determination is close to one. This study provides a better understanding of customer intentions in determining the purchase decision using a credit card in Greater Jakarta area. This study also provides managerial implications for business and recommendations for future research.

Cloud computing is a recent computing paradigm enabling organizations to have access to sophisticated computing services via the Internet on a fee-for-service basis. It provides Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) with opportunities to become as technologically advanced as their larger counterparts, without significant financial outlays. This paper examined the important factors that influence SMEs’ adoption of cloud computing technology. Drawing upon aspects of the Technology, Organization and Environment framework and Diffusion of Innovation Theory, we developed a research model of SMEs’ adoption of cloud computing and tested it through an online survey of 149 Australian SMEs. Data was analyzed using multiple regression methods, with results showing that SMEs were influenced by factors related to advantaging their organizational capability (i.e., relative advantage, quality of service and awareness) rather than risk-related factors (i.e., security, privacy and flexibility). The findings offer insights to SMEs owners, Cloud service providers and government in establishing Cloud computing adoption strategies for SMEs.
