An experimental study of the grinding of lidocaine by the rapid expansion of supercritical solutions (RESS method) was carried out. The experiments were carried out in the pressure range of 10–35 MPa and temperatures of 308–333 K. The analysis of the morphology and size of particles, as well as the effect of the process parameters on them, was carried out. Qualitative and quantitative spectrophotometric analysis was carried out. The dissolution test was carried out in a phosphate buffered saline medium simulating plasma, which showed that the reduction in particle size gave an increased yield of the drug in a shorter period of time compared to the original drug that was not treated.

Based on the benefication of the complex silicate ore containing scandium, the research about aid-leaching agent used in the leaching of the scandium concentrate was been conducted. And the suitable leaching agent and aid-leaching agent which the useful ions entered into leaching liquid and the harmful ions were kept in leaching residue were been found according to the experiment results. For the scandium of sample existed various complex silicate ore as isomorphism form, the research has adopted hydrochloric acid with aid-leaching agent to dissociate the silicate ore and make scandium entering into solution. The research results has shown that the scandium leaching rate could reach 92.06% under the optimal conditions which the hydrochloric acid concentration is 22.8%, the dosage of aid leaching agent is 6%, liquid solid ratio is 4:1, particle size of leaching material totally is less than 0.15mm and leaching time is 8h.

Objective: Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) are highly useful for drug delivery, but their application is limited by their stability as they readily aggregate. This issue can be prevented by adding a stabilizing agent such as resveratrol (RSV), which is a polyphenol derived from plants, that is used to preventcancer. Therefore, we propose a novel method to prepare stable RSV-conjugated nanoparticles modified with polyethylene glycol (RSV-AuNP-PEG).Methods: In the first step, the Turkevich method was used to synthesize the AuNPs. Then, PEG was added as stabilizer agent and conjugated with RSV.The synthesized conjugates were characterized using ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, particle sizeanalysis, and high-performance liquid chromatography. Results: The obtained RSV-AuNP-PEG had a particle size of 83.93 nm with a polydispersity index (PDI) of 0.562 and formed a translucent purple-redfluid in solution. The zeta potential was −22.9 mV, and the highest entrapment efficiency was 75.86±0.66%. For comparison, the RSV-AuNP solutionwas purple and turbid, the particle size was 51.97 nm with a PDI of 0.694, and the zeta potential was −24.6 mV. The stability test results showed thatthe storage stability of RSV-AuNP-PEG was better than that of AuNP-RSV. Further, the RSV-AuNP-PEG was shown to be most stable in 2% bovine serumalbumin (BSA) while the AuNP-RSV was most stable in 2% BSA in phosphate-buffered saline pH 7.4.Conclusion: These results show that modification of RSV-conjugated AuNPs with PEG effectively prevents their aggregation in storage, but only incertain mediums.

This paper presents a novel micro shaft grinding tool is fabricated by cold sprayed with CBN grains, and a micro-grinding experiment is carried out to study micro grinding principle of the fabricated tools. The manufacturing is carried out on a desktop micro machine developed by NEU. Influences caused by particle size on surface quality has been discussed, it has been tested that low surface roughness could be achieved on 3000 particle size of micro shaft grinding tool, the roughness accomplished in the experiment is about 0.086μm.

The process of particle impacting and contacting curved surface of vane was studied, and the characteristics of particle size, particle initial velocity and its impacting direction affect the stress of subsurface were analyzed by using ANSYS/LS-DANY software. It is shown that the interaction between particles and surface of vane is affected by nonlinear factors such as the elastic-plastic property of material, the state of impacting and contacting and surface shape. The increment in particle size increases the stress of the surface impacted and the sphere of action is also enlarged. The influence of the size of particles is remarkable. Particle impact velocity is related to energy exchange and has influences on stress value and the area of surface deformation. Due to impact angle is related to shape of curved vane, so the distribution of stress is changed and the value of the stress in surface layer is also influenced when particles impact curved surface of vane from different directions. The research will be helpful to disclose the mechanics of the wear on the condition of particle impact.
