The study aimed to review the current postpartum care service system and suggest measures of improvement for the public reinforcement of the private-postpartum care center (PCC). We conducted a review of literature, including an internet search, and we analyzed the in-depth interviews using questionnaires answered by workers from the 6 private-PCCs operated in Goyang city. Using these data, we derived possible measures which could improve the publicity of private-PCCs. It was found that the 11 nationwide public-PCCs had serious operating deficits, and its utilization by the vulnerable was insufficient. In areas where private-PCCs are concentrated, we can propose the following policies to strengthen publicity, rather than establishing another public-PCC. First, it is important to provide support for private-PCCs to apply cost reductions for vulnerable groups, similar to the maternal and newborn medical care of public-PCCs. Second, publicity would be strengthened by reorganizing the pregnancy and childbirth education program, while also offering additional services for mothers with stillbirths and abortions. For the integrated management of postpartum care services, this should be shifted towards reinforcing the publicity of private-PCCs, rather than operating a public-PCC in relatively concentrated private-PCC areas. Through these policies, it is expected that financial and administrative waste will be reduced, and an integrated management system for postpartum care services will be established.

ABSTRACTAntenatal care is designed to promote, protect, and maintain the health during pregnancy and reduce maternal and neonatal mortality. The scope of antenatal care also includes the detection and special care for high risk cases as well as the prediction and prevention of complications during pregnancy and childbirth. Complications of pregnancy and childbirth causes of neonatorum asphyxia. Neonatorum asphyxia is a condition where the baby can not breathe spontaneously and regularly after birth. Neonatorum asphyxia cases in Mojokerto district has 46.9% in 2010 and 39.7% in 2014. This aim of this study was to analyze the effect of the quality of antenatal care to neonatorum asphyxia in Mojokerto. The type of this study was observational analytic with case control design with a sample of cases and controls amounted to 80 babies. Data was analyzed using univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis with logistic regression. The results of this study showed that the quality of antenatal care was significant with neonatorum asphyxia (OR = 8,556; 95% CI:2,777–26,358). Confounding variables associated with neonatorum asphyxia were maternal occupation (OR = 4,558;95% CI:1,391– 14,298), primary education (OR = 21,620; 95% CI: 1,932–241,886), secondary education (OR = 20,977; 95%CI: 1,819–241,872). The conclusion quality of antenatal care has effect of nenatorum asphyxia. Abstract Background: Medical Union is a novel model of integrated care services. At present, the Chinese government encourages the development of health care services for aged people provided by Medical Union which may help make effective use of limited medical resources in China. Purpose: This study aims at examining the prevalence of and associated factors affecting the acceptance of a novel integrated care service by community-dwelling elderly. Methods: We extracted raw data generated from 1,180 community residents over 60 years old and performed binary logistic regression analyses to predict odds of the acceptance in Chongqing, China. Using Anderson’s health behavioral model, we examined three groups of predictive factors: (1) predisposing factors (e.g. social demographic information), (2) enabling factors (e.g. health insurance status), (3) need factors (e.g. health status). Results: The application of this novel integrated care service was explained better by enabling factors than other predictive factors. In the best explanatory model (model 3), one predisposing factor (degree of education), one enabling factor (insurance type), and five need factors (self-reported health status, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and disability) were variables considered as the significant factors affecting the acceptance of the novel integrated care service by community-dwelling elderly in Chongqing, china. Conclusion: This study provides an empirical understanding of the equity of the access to a novel integrated care service for older adults who live in communities. Our findings advocate that primary health institutions should play an important role in health education. Advanced policies are needed to protect physically and economically vulnerable groups.

The study adopts the self-made questionnaire of 0 - 3-year-old children’s demand for child care, investigating 6564 families with 0 - 3-year-old children in G province by means of cluster probability sampling. The survey shows that most parents’ willingness to care is not strong, and the acceptable monthly cost of care is mainly within 2000 Yuan. The main reason for choosing care is to let children receive professional care and education. The main reasons for not choosing nursery are that families can take care of themselves; parents are most concerned about the safety of nursery institutions and the professionalism of the staff; they prefer to choose public nursery institutions. Therefore, we should actively construct a multi-level and multi-level care service system to better meet the demand of care services of 0 - 3-year-old infants.

This study examines the goals of medical aid-in-dying (MAID) legislation introduced to the US Congress from 1994–2020 using a policy mapping analysis approach. Using congress.gov, we identified 98 bills, 23 bills were analyzed in this study. Most of the bills aimed to restrict the use of federal funds, to regulate the drugs commonly used for MAID, to prohibit the development of policies or practices supporting MAID, and to regulate practitioners’ roles in MAID. In practice, these bills would limit patient access to MAID by restricting drugs, funds, health care services, legal assistance, policy, and research. These findings suggest there lacks congressional support for MAID, even though polls of the public are divided yet favorable. Policymakers who support MAID should consider affirmative policies that 1) prevent MAID policies from discriminating against vulnerable groups, 2) support funding to study the use of MAID, and 3) build avenues to allow all qualified people to access MAID in places where it is legal.
