To carry out evaluation comprehensively, we need appropriate instrument that suitable with domain that being evaluated. Evaluation instrument development with test has been conducted by experts. These instruments were only suitable to measure cognitive domain and part of psychomotor domain. To measure affective domain, we need to develop non-test evaluation instrument (alternative test). The development of this instrument tends to more difficult and complicated compare with instrument test evaluation instrument. Therefore, it does necessitate a through study to derive and elaborate affective domain to specific aspect to develop valid and reliable instrument.

Difficulty understanding students' concepts needs to be known so that improvements can be made so that eventually students can master the concepts well. Misconception diagnostic tests can be an alternative to uncovering causes or factors of misconception in students. This study aims to develop a Four-Tier Test diagnostic test instrument to diagnose students' misconceptions on circular motion material. This research is a development study using 4D models.  The developed four-tier test diagnostic test instrument consists of 40 multiple-choice questions. The results of the content validation by five experts stated that the instrument was very feasible with an average percentage of 86,34%. Empirical trial results show as many as 40 valid diagnostic test items have enough to good power a level of difficulty and discrimination power. The reliability of the questions was analyzed using the Kuder Richardson formula of 0.785 with a high category. This instrument can be used to minimize the time spent in the process of identifying misconceptions because it is in the form of multiple-choice with varied questions.

Background:Yoga therapy (YT) improves cognitive function in healthy individuals, but its impact on cognitive function among persons with schizophrenia (SZ) has not been investigated. Objective:To evaluate the adjunctive YT for cognitive domains impaired in SZ.Methods:Patients with SZ received YT or treatment as usual (TAU;n= 65,n= 23, respectively). Accuracy and speed for seven cognitive domains were assessed using a computerised neurocognitive battery (CNB), thus minimising observer bias. Separately, YT was evaluated among patients with bipolar I disorder (n= 40), major depressive disorder (n= 37) and cardiology outpatients (n= 68). All patients also received routine pharmacotherapy. Patients were not randomised to YT or TAU.Results:In comparison with the SZ/TAU group, the SZ/YT group showed significantly greater improvement with regard to measures of attention following corrections for multiple comparisons; the changes were more prominent among the men. In the other diagnostic groups, differing patterns of improvements were noted with small-to-medium effect sizes. Conclusions:Our initial analyses suggest nominally significant improvement in cognitive function in SZ with adjunctive therapies such as YT. The magnitude of the change varies by cognitive domain and may also vary by diagnostic group.

For the development of a good evaluation instrument, persons who are involved in the process should follow all the recommended stages (planning, test specification, piloting, removing redundant items). The using of formative assessment in education allows us to conduct such tire as piloting (approbation) that is intended to obtain the statistical parameters of test items, which can be used in a summative assessment. Correct design of test forms for a formative assessment can provide sufficient capabilities for their equating and linking. In this work we are focused only on evaluating just one construct, which is commonly related to only one subject in university curriculum. According to this reason we described a common items equating technique for test items preequating.

ABSTRACTObjectives:To determine the relationship between falls and deficits in specific cognitive domains in older adults.Design:An analysis of the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing (ELSA) cohort.Setting:United Kingdom community-based.Participants:5197 community-dwelling older adults recruited to a prospective longitudinal cohort study.Measurements:Data on the occurrence of falls and number of falls, which occurred during a 12-month follow-up period, were assessed against the specific cognitive domains of memory, numeracy skills, and executive function. Binomial logistic regression was performed to evaluate the association between each cognitive domain and the dichotomous outcome of falls in the preceding 12 months using unadjusted and adjusted models. Results:Of the 5197 participants included in the analysis, 1308 (25%) reported a fall in the preceding 12 months. There was no significant association between the occurrence of a fall and specific forms of cognitive dysfunction after adjusting for self-reported hearing, self-reported eyesight, and functional performance. After adjustment, only orientation (odds ratio [OR]: 0.80; 95% confidence intervals [CI]: 0.65–0.98, p = 0.03) and verbal fluency (adjusted OR: 0.98; 95% CI: 0.96–1.00; p = 0.05) remained significant for predicting recurrent falls. Conclusions:The cognitive phenotype rather than cognitive impairmentper semay predict future falls in those presenting with more than one fall.

Background Parkinsonism as a group of movement disorders, exhibit similar clinical presentation. Therefore, clinically differentiating these diseases is difficult. We investigated the diagnostic value of 99m Tc-TRODAT-1 SPECT in this setting. Due to the fact that this modality has some limitations in imaging small organs like the sub-regions of basal ganglia, we also evaluated the use of anatomical MR imaging along with functional SPECT imaging in parkinsonism. Methods This follow-up diagnostic test evaluation study was performed with 40 patients with the clinical presentation of parkinsonism, and 10 healthy subjects as controls. After administration of the radiopharmaceutical, SPECT images were acquired, then co-registered on MRI. Uptake values were evaluated in basal ganglia semi-quantitatively. Results In this study, 99mTc-TRODAT-1 SPECT was able to differentiate essential tremor and healthy subjects from progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) and Parkinson’s disease (PD) with a sensitivity of 76.47% and specificity of 100% at a cut-off of 0.53; however, findings were not significant in differentiation of PD from PSP (p ˃0.05), and the results were similar in SPECT and co-registered MRI/SPECT images. In evaluation of the uptake pattern in basal ganglia, the lateralization of decreased uptake was only seen in PD; and in PSP, the dysfunction was bilateral in all patients. Conclusion 99mTc-TRODAT-1 SPECT is sensitive and specific in diagnosing basal ganglia dysfunction; however, 99mTc-TRODAT-1 SPECT alone or co-registration on MRI are not adequate in differentiation of the etiologies of basal ganglia dysfunction.

The condition of the students’ critical thinking skills in the Kowangbinangun State Elementary School has impacted their learning results. Departing from this situation, a study for improving the students’ critical thinking skills and learning results by using hidrorium as the media should be conducted. Within the conduct of the study, the approach that had been adopted was the classroom action research. Then, the instruments that had been implemented were the test instrument, namely the test items for measuring the achievement of the students’ learning results, and the non-test instrument, namely the assignment assessment rubric for measuring the students’ critical thinking skills level. Furthermore, the data analysis method that had been adopted was the descriptive-comparativee method. Within the first cycle, 4% of the students belonged to the “Very High” category, 14% of the students belonged to the “High” category, and 82% of the students belonged to the “Low” category; as a result, 33% of the students met the passing grade while 67% of the students did not meet the passing grade. The research in the first cycle improved the students’ critical thinking skills and thus 14% of the students belonged to the “Very High” category, 57% of the students belonged to the “High” category, and 29% of the students belonged to the “Low” category. Following up the improvement, the learning results of the students showed that 64% of the students met the passing grade whereas 36% of the students did not meet the passing grade. In the second cycle, the students’ critical thinking skills also improved since 86% of the students belonged to the “Very High” category and 14% of the students belonged to the “High” category. Thus, the students’ learning results improved as well with 82% of the students met the passing grade and 18% of the students did not meet the passing grade.
