The greenhouse effect is the process by which radiation from a planet's atmosphere warms a planet's surface to a temperature higher than what it would be if there were no atmosphere. Catherine Gautier (2006) in a class shows that students are often unaware of their misunderstanding of their representations when compared to scientific representations. One of the factors that can influence misconceptions in students is an error in interpreting the meaning conveyed. This study aims to test the mastery of the concept of the greenhouse effect on students. The sample used in this study was 50 students of Physics Education class of 2016 at the University of Jember who were taking their fourth semester. Methods The research is carried out with quantitative methods. The method of collecting data is a questionnaire obtained from open questions (in the form of essays) posed to students of Physics Education class 2016 at the University of Jember, totaling 10 questions. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there are students who have misconceptions about the greenhouse effect. Keywords: Atmosphere, Greenhouse Effect, Misconception, Temperature.

This study aims to analyze the understanding of Physics Education students at the University of Jember regarding the benefits and dangers of UV rays for health through multi-representation graphs and graphs. This study used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach through questionnaires to 50 students of Physics Education at the University of Jember, namely the 2nd semester students and 4th semester students. The data sources were obtained from a multiple choice questionnaire which included 10 verbal and graphic questions with 5 verbal questions and 5 questions. validated graph questions. The results of respondents' answers will be analyzed in describing the ability of Physics Education students at the University of Jember in understanding the benefits and dangers of UV rays for health through verbal and graphic multi-representation. Based on research that has shown that Physics Education students at the University of Jember better understand the material given or seen in questions with graphical representation results, it is seen from the average value of correct answers to verbal representation questions of 71.06% and the average correct answers for about graph representation of 39.76%. The percentage of 71.06% indicates that not all Physics Education students at the University of Jember understand the benefits and dangers of UV rays for health. This is because the sun in semester 2 students has not been given courses that discuss radiation and the small percentage of correct answers with graphical representations because the level of difficulty of the questions is higher related to questions of verbal representation. Keywords: UV radiation, Benefit of UV rays, Danger of UV Rays, Verbal Representation, Graphic Representation ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Jember mengenai manfaat dan bahaya sinar UV bagi kesehatan melalui multirepresentasi verbal dan grafik . AbstractResults are presented of the user evaluation of an integrated medical workstation for support of clinical research. Twenty-seven users were recruited from medical and scientific staff of the University Hospital Dijkzigt, the Faculty of Medicine of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, and from other Dutch medical institutions; and all were given a written, self-contained tutorial. Subsequently, an experiment was done in which six clinical data analysis problems had to be solved and an evaluation form was filled out. The aim of this user evaluation was to obtain insight in the benefits of integration for support of clinical data analysis for clinicians and biomedical researchers. The problems were divided into two sets, with gradually more complex problems. In the first set users were guided in a stepwise fashion to solve the problems. In the second set each stepwise problem had an open counterpart. During the evaluation, the workstation continuously recorded the user’s actions. From these results significant differences became apparent between clinicians and non-clinicians for the correctness (means 54% and 81%, respectively, p = 0.04), completeness (means 64% and 88%, respectively, p = 0.01), and number of problems solved (means 67% and 90%, respectively, p = 0.02). These differences were absent for the stepwise problems. Physicians tend to skip more problems than biomedical researchers. No statistically significant differences were found between users with and without clinical data analysis experience, for correctness (means 74% and 72%, respectively, p = 0.95), and completeness (means 82% and 79%, respectively, p = 0.40). It appeared that various clinical research problems can be solved easily with support of the workstation; the results of this experiment can be used as guidance for the development of the successor of this prototype workstation and serve as a reference for the assessment of next versions.
