Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan metode survey, Metode yang digunakan dalam tahap analisis tabuler adalah metode scoring berdasarkan hasil penelitian lapangan yang telah dilakukan. Setiap parameter penentu tingkat bahaya longsor diberi skor tertentu. Setiap unit analisis skor tersebut dijumlahkan dan hasil penjumlahan skor selanjutnya diklasifikasikan untuk menentukan tingkat bahaya longsor. wilayah Kota Padang Panjang terbagi atas 3 potensi rawan longsor yaitu: (1) Tingkat sedang, (2) Tingkat rendah dan (2) Tidak rawan. Bahaya Longsor tingkat sedang terdapat di sebagian Kelurahan Bukit Surungan, Pasar Usang, Koto Katik, Koto Panjang, Ganting, dan Sigando, dan Silaing Bawah. Pada Zona ini dapat terjadi longsor jika curah hujan di atas normal, terutama pada daerah yang berbatasan dengan lembah sungai, gawir, tebing jalan atau jika lereng mengalami gangguan. Untuk bahaya longsor tingkat rendah yaitu terdapat di hampir sebagian besar wilayah Kota Padang panjang, bisa dikatakan hampir 2/3 bagian Kota Padang Panjang digolongkan pada kawasan dengan tingkat bahaya longsor rendah. Dan untuk kawasan yang tidak rawan longsor terdapat di sebagian Kelurahan Ganting, Silaing Bawah, Silaing Atas, Kampung Manggis, dan Bukit Surungan. This research is a descriptive research with survey method, the method used in the tabular analysis stage is the scoring method based on the results of field research that has been done. Each parameter determining the level of landslide hazard is given a certain score. Each unit of score analysis is summed and the sum of the results of the next score are classified to determine the level of landslide hazard. The area of Padang Panjang City is divided into 3 potential landslide hazards, namely: (1) Medium level, (2) Low level and (2) Not vulnerable. Medium level landslide hazards are found in parts of Bukit Surungan, Pasar Usang, Koto Katik, Koto Panjang, Ganting, and Sigando, and Silaing Bawah. In this zone landslides can occur if the rainfall is above normal, especially in areas bordering river valleys, swamps, road cliffs or if the slopes experience interference. For low level landslide hazards, which are found in most parts of the city of Padang Panjang, it can be said that almost 2/3 of the city of Padang Panjang is classified as an area with a low level of landslide. And for areas that are not prone to landslides, there are some in Ganting, Silaing Bawah, Silaing Atas, Manggis, and Bukit Surungan.

Poncokusumo and Wajak regions are one of the Districts in Malang Regency. Poncokusumo and Wajak have varied land uses, geology and morphogenesis. This physiographic condition has an effect on the increasing threat of landslides. This study aims to determine the level of landslide hazard and its distribution. The method used in the identification of landslide hazards is the scoring method which refers to the 2012 BNPB Head Regulation, Indonesian National Standard number 13-7124-2005, the Indirect Method, and the Indonesian Disaster Risk (RBI) BNPB 2016. The results showed that the geological conditions of the study area were composed of volcanic materials such as lava and lava deposits. This material is loose and unstable. Based on the slope classification, this area consists of flat areas with a slope of 0-8% to steep areas with a slope of> 40%. Based on the morphological conditions, it can be seen that this area is an area prone to landslides. Landslide hazard levels in parts of Poncokusumo and Wajak are low and medium. Low landslide hazard levels are dominated by forest land use. The level of danger of a lonsor is being dominated by the use of residential land. The area with a low hazard level is 860.8 Ha and the area with a moderate hazard level is 365.1 Ha. Keywords: landslide, hazard, GIS

Abstract The data presented in this paper concern the occurrence of Salvinia natans (L.) All. in Wrocław area. Field research was conducted in the vegetation season (June-September) between 2013 and 2017 in water bodies (natural and artificial), in the main river beds of the Oława and the Odra Rivers and in the Odra canals in Wrocław. The study provided 32 S. natans locations in the city area. The studied species occurred in various plant communities accompanied by numerous species which were also under protection, increasing the ecological value of the habitats. Additionally, a stable S. natans site was confirmed by the study in a location where aquatic fern had previously been recorded in Wrocław. The research indicates numerous populations of the species along the Odra and the Oława and in many old river beds and artificial water bodies in Wrocław and the results confirm the visible trend of a growing number of S. natans sites in all of Poland.

The objective of the research is to find the most suitable soil conservation practice that may be applied to control landslide hazard. In order to achieve that objective, some research steps must be done, are: (1) to identify the land characteristics of the study area that is based on the understanding of some factors that caused and triggered the landslide hazard, i.e.: slope morphology, rocks/soils characteristics, climatic condition, and landuse; (2) to study the types of landslide that occurs in every landforms and determine the area having ideal landslide form; The proposed landslide in this research is the process of masswasting down-slope as a result of the gravitation action on materials being sliding. The landslide types is including creep, slide, slump, and rocks/soils fall. The methods that being applied in the research include field survey methods and the method for determining landslide hazard by using geographic information techniques. Field survey method was intended to characterize the location of every landslide that have been happened in the study area. The results of field survey were applied as materials for determinating the grade of landslide hazard. Scorring and weighting methods of factors that influence landslide was apllied to determine the grade of landslide hazard. Scor and weight were not same for every parameters used for evaluation. The result of field research shows that landslide happen in every landform unit The study area can be devided into 9 landform unit. The landform units are differentiated into the landslide hazard classes, the study area there were found 5 classes of landslide hazard, namely: (1) vary low hazard equal to 16,65% (1 landform unit); (2) low hazard equal to 7,63% (1 landform unit); (3) medium hazard equal to 37,58% (3 landform unit); (4) high hazard equal to 25,41% (2 landforms unit); and (5) highest hazard equal to 12,73% (2 landform unit). Evaluation of landslide hazard shows hat most of study area have high risk to slide as a result of complex interaction between many factors of landslide.

Drawing on field research and a survey of 150 Zimbabwean migrants in Johannesburg, this paper explores the dimensions of migrants’ transnational experiences in the urban space. I discuss the use of communication platforms such as WhatsApp and Facebook as well as other means such as telephone calls in fostering the embedding of transnational migrants within both the Johannesburg and the Zimbabwean socio-economic environments. I engage this migrant-embedding using Bourdieusian concepts of “transnational habitus” and “transnational social field,” which are migration specific variations of Bourdieu’s original concepts of “habitus” and “social field.” In deploying these Bourdieusian conceptual tools, I observe that the dynamics of South–South migration as observed in the Zimbabwean migrants are different to those in the South–North migration streams and it is important to move away from using the same lens in interpreting different realities. For Johannesburg-based migrants to operate within the socio-economic networks produced in South Africa and in Zimbabwe, they need to actively acquire a transnational habitus. I argue that migrants’ cultivation of networks in Johannesburg is instrumental, purposive, and geared towards achieving specific and immediate goals, and latently leads to the development and sustenance of flexible forms of permanency in the transnational urban space.

Sports Tourism as a segment is growing exponentially in Brazil. The sports mega-events that occurred in the period from 2007 to 2016 helped strengthen this sector significantly. This article examined tourism mobility during the Summer Olympic Games Rio 2016, hosted by the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This study expands the understanding of the relationship between tourism and city infrastructure, therefore being relevant to academics, professionals of the area and to the whole society due to its multidisciplinary field. The existence of a relationship between means of transportation and the Olympic regions as well as tourist attractions for a possible legacy was observed. Data were collected from official sources, field research and through participant-observation and semi structured interviews. Data were coded and analyzed. The results indicate that the city was overall successful in its execution of sufficient mobility. New means of transportation were added and others updated. BRT's (Bus Rapid Transit) were the main use of mass transport to Olympic sites. However, a lack of public transport access was observed for the touristic sites.

A key theme in urban governance research is how neoliberalism reshapes the state–society relationship. Our study on Guangzhou, where urban regeneration through massive redevelopment of “villages-in-the-city” uncovered interactions between the state, market, and community in local governance, contributes to this debate. Based on intensive field research to analyze three projects, we find that what really controls neoliberal growth in China is not simply the authoritarian tradition of the socialist state but also the power of the indigenous village communities. Our findings suggest that state intervention for community building is vital for rebalancing power relations between the state, market, and community.

The nodes and links in urban networks are usually presented in a two-dimensional(2D) view. The co-occurrence of nodes and links can also be realized from a three-dimensional(3D) perspective to make the characteristics of urban network more intuitively revealed. Our result shows that the external connections of high-level cities are mainly affected by the level of cities(nodes) and less affected by geographical distance, while medium-level cities are affected by the interaction of the level of cities(nodes) and geographical distance. The external connections of low-level cities are greatly restricted by geographical distance.

In recent years, landslide hazard assessment has played an important role in developing land utilization regulations aimed at minimizing the loss of lives and damage to property. A variety of approaches has been used in landslide assessment and these can be classified into qualitative factor overlay, statistical models, geotechnical process models, etc. However, there is little work on the satisfactory integration of these models with geographic information systems (GIS) to support slope management and landslide hazard mitigation. This paper deals with several aspects of landslide hazard assessment by presenting a focused review of GIS-based landslide hazard assessment: it starts with a framework for GIS-based assessment of landslide hazard; continues with a critical review of the state of the art in using GIS and digital elevation models (DEM) for mapping and modelling landslide hazards; and concludes with a description of an integrated system for effective landslide hazard assessment and zonation incorporating artificial intelligence and data mining technology in a GIS-based framework of knowledge discovery.

Abstract Differences in nighttime transport and diffusion of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) tracer in an urban complex-terrain setting (Salt Lake City, Utah) are investigated using surface and Doppler lidar wind data and large-scale surface pressure differences. Interacting scales of motion, as studied through the URBAN 2000 field program combined with the Vertical Transport and Mixing (VTMX) experiment, explained the differences in the tracer behavior during three separate intensive operating periods. With an emphasis on nighttime stable boundary layer conditions, these field programs were designed to study flow features responsible for the nighttime transport of airborne substances. This transport has implications for air quality, homeland security, and emergency response if the airborne substances are hazardous. The important flow features investigated included thermally forced canyon and slope flows and a low-level jet (LLJ) that dominated the basin-scale winds when the surface pressure gradient was weak. The presence of thermally forced flows contributed to the complexity and hindered the predictability of the tracer motion within and beyond the city. When organized thermally forced flows were present, the tracer tended to stay closer to the city for longer periods of time, even though a strong basin-scale LLJ did develop. When thermally forced flows were short lived or absent, the basin-scale low-level jet dominated the wind field and enhanced the transport of tracer material out of the city.

This research purposes to determine the income of Grabbike drivers in Samarinda during March 2019 and to compare the income toward the City Minimum Wage (UMK) in 2019. This research also intends to know the average and the percentage of Grabbike driver’s income in Samarinda toward the City Minimum Wage (UMK) in 2019. This is a descriptive quantitative research. The populations in this research are 1200 Samarinda Grabbike drivers in 2019 with 120 respondents. Data collection techniques in this research use questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the net income formula; the average and percentage income. The research data and analysis of the Samarinda Grabbike driver’s income in 2019 includes several indicators; the number of working hours and working days. The research results show that the Samarinda Grabbike driver’s net income in March 2019 is Rp. 200,758,204. The percentage comparison between Samarinda Grabbike Driver’s incomes toward the City Minimum Wage (UMK) shows 24 drivers achieving high-level income or 20%, 65 drivers achieving medium-level income or 54.2% and 31 drivers achieving low-level income or 25.8%. The average income of Samarinda Grabbike drivers in March 2019 is Rp. 1,672,985.
