This research aimed to determine the average profit-loss sharing level of deposit and the return level of deposit affect to total deposit and the quantity of Islamic banking customer in Indonesia, in time year 2009 until year 2014. The approach is a quantitative approach using VECM (Vector Error Correction Model) analytical techniques, to determine the effect of independent variable to dependent variable. The independent variable of this research is the average profit-loss sharing level of Islamic banking and the return level of deposit in conventional banking. While the dependent variable of this research is the total deposit and the quantity of Islamic banking customer in Indonesia. The result of this research showed that independent variable has a significant effect to total deposit in a long term, both simultaneous and partial. While in the quantity of customer, independent variable has no significant effect, both simultaneous and partial in a long term.

Abstract: The role and contribution of Islamic finance on economic growth in Indonesia has increased gradually and steadily. This is because the Islamic economy's universal and comprehensively basic principle is the primary foundation of Islamic banking. This research aimed to analyze the role of Islamic Banking on Indonesia's real sector during 2007.01 – 2016.04. This study used the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) as a tool to analyze secondary data. The result showed that in Indonesia, sharia deposit positively and significantly influenced actual output in the short term. In addition, in the long-term, sharia financing positively and significantly influenced actual output. Moreover, Granger Causality Test proved the occurrence of one-way causality between actual output and inflation. Thus, Islamic banking can encourage actual output in Indonesia. The results of this study become a consideration for stakeholders and policymakers to pay more attention to strategies and policies that support economic growth in Indonesia.

This study uses a quantitative method with a vector error correction model. The data used was monthly data Sukuk and profitability of Islamic banks in the years 2011 to 2018. The results of this research are in the long term Sukuk variables have a significant influence on ROA. The results obtained from the t-statistic values of variables Sukuk amounting -6.56088. The value is greater than t table, the Effect of Sukuk itself fairly small to ROA. This study is the first study that examines the influence of Sukuk on the profitability of Islamic banks using a vector error correction model.
