Strengthening Learning Progression (LP) for students' reasoning abilities is important, especially learning about diseases in Indonesia. This study aimed to map the learning progression of disease in Indonesia, compare and analyze its similarities and differences with the LP designed by National Reseaarch Council (NRC). This qualitative research to map LP, using the analysis documen method by comparing the content analysis of Basic Competencies of Curriculum 13 with benchmark analysis from the NRC 2007 on Science and Biology textbooks published in 2016, 2017, and 2018 at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels published by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The findings are the LP on disease in the curriculum and life science textbooks in Indonesia has not met the benchmarks, especially in three categories, namely; pathogens, the immune system, and infection spanning learning from K-2 (elementary) to K-12 (high school). Therefore, it is necessary to categorize LP topics in diseases based on conceptual abilities from the simplest to the most complex.

The results showed that the level of literal understanding (7.45%), reorganization (0 %), inferential (39.36%), evaluation (36.17%), and appreciation (17.02%). This shows that the higher-level comprehension is dominant over lower-level comprehension, but the level is not evenly distributed in all texts. The results of this study can provide an overview of the level of reading comprehension questions used in the English textbook entitled "Stop Bullying Now," which is helpful for teachers as a guide in learning English reading comprehension.

The data set was provided by Training Management Department and Training Quality Control and Testing Laboratory of the University of Finance – Marketing. This dataset includes information about math high school graduation test scores, learning process scores (scores assessed by direct instructors), and advanced math course end test scores of 2834 students in courses from 2015 to 2019. Linear and non-linear regression machine learning models were used to solve the tasks given in this article. An analysis of the data was conducted to reveal the advantages and disadvantages of the change in university enrollment of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training. Tools from the Python libraries have been supported and used effectively in the process of solving problems. AbstractObjectiveTo ascertain the prevalence and correlated factors of providing consultation on sexual orientation and the characteristics of school nurses in high schools in Japan.MethodsParticipants were school nurses working in high schools in Aichi prefecture. Items investigated included background, experiences in providing counselling on sexual orientation, the availability of materials and resources for students, and learning experiences concerning how to handle sexual orientation concerns. We divided the respondents into two groups: one group who have provided counselling on sexual orientation before and one group with no such experience. Chi square tests were utilized to compare the responses between groups.ResultsAmong the respondents, 38.9% (n = 140) had previous experience of providing counselling to students on sexual orientation. The group with experience of providing counselling is more likely to have 10–29 years of experience, to work at a senior high school, to be informed on notifications from the Ministry of Education, to have experience of learning how to provide counselling on sexual orientation, and to be aware of effective resources.ConclusionIn Japan, it is expected that the support needs related to LGBTI will become more obvious in the future and efforts to create an environment in which it is easy for young people to consult with school nurses or other support figures are necessary.

Makerspaces have grown over the last two decades and provide a potentially important resource to entrepreneurs. One area where the expansion of makerspaces has been the largest is in educational settings, at both K-12 schools and colleges. However, scant research to date has analysed whether students visiting a makerspace have any relationship with their professional goals or intentions. This study uses a survey conducted in New Orleans to analyse the predictors of what students use a makerspace, and the potential relationship visiting may have with entrepreneurial intent. The analysis finds that students with a higher socio-economic status appear to use makerspaces more often, and that students who visited makerspaces are more likely to express interest in starting their own businesses.
