April 1, 1893, the sixteen-year-old King of Serbia, Alexander Obrenović, made a coup d'état [1]. On the direct instructions of his father, Milan Obrenović, who lived after his abdication in France, minor Alexander Obrenovićh arrested the regents J. Ristić, K. Protić and J. Belimarcović, sent ministers in prison, declared himself an adult and took power into his own hands. [2] The events of 1893 became a new stage in the difficult period of the development of the independent Serbian state at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries; that period is of particular interest to researchers [3, 16, 17]. The events that the contemporaries called "the Serbian revolution" were discussed in the European press solely from the point of view of practical expediency, and therefore even the most cautious contemporaries were inclined to see the latent participation of Russian diplomacy in it. The English "Times" decided that the "act" of the king is "although not constitutional", but "natural" [4]. The representatives of the press in other European capitals (Berlin, Vienna and Paris newspapers) agreed with the opinion of the newspaper which sympathized with the liberation of Serbia from the "imaginary liberal terror" and the " bold move " of the king who put an end to the protracted crisis, the way out could not be peaceful, in their opinion [5]. It was not without curiosity: "Daily News" of Gladstone launched a malicious wickedness around the world calling the April events in Belgrade "a wedding gift to Knyaz Saxe-Coburg" [4]. The coup d'etat á la Alexandre de Serbie was a household name for a long time.

I recently became aware that I had for a long time entertained certain preconceptions about the way in which Presocratic thinkers saw the world, without ever having seriously considered the evidence on which my belief was based. This I have now tried to do, with the results which are set forth in this paper. Since in any case it will deal, in a fairly general way, with problems concerning the interaction of philosophical and religious thought in early Greece, I hope it will have a certain interest, whether or not its readers agree with the thesis put forward. The perennial fascination of that topic has been enhanced in recent years by the discussion provoked by Werner Jaeger's book on The Theology of the Early Greek Philosophers, from which I take this sentence as a kind of text for my own reflections: “Though philosophy means death to the old gods, it is itself religion.”

This thesis explains the characteristics of the simile concept and application of Uzbek and Korean, and the differences and similarities between the objects used as simile auxiliary ideas in Uzbek and Korean through simile example sentences. Humans have been vividly and efficiently expressing parts and various thoughts that are difficult to speak directly through the method of simile within a limited vocabulary for a long time. In particular, it can be seen that expressing animals, plants, and nature, which have always been together since the beginning of humanity, in relation to simile objects, occurs frequently in everyday life and in literary works. For a long time, many scholars around the world have found that metaphors are indispensable and important tools in human cognitive activity, and in particular, representing animals that are closest to humans is very effective in the way humans communicate.

Psychology has been influenced by philosophical fundaments from the Phenomenological, Existential, and Humanist movements. Such prospect changed the way of conceiving man and making science, contributing, as well, to the emergence of the phenomenological-existential psychotherapies. This paper presents a brief historical journey through the main lines of thought that fundament the psychotherapies of such approach, mentioning the most important philosophers and psychotherapists. The study begins discussing the first perspective changes, when, overcoming the mechanistic point of view; the man begins to be considered part of a functional system interconnected with the world. It is shown that, afterwards, arise the Act Psychology of Brentano and Husserl’s Phenomenology. Subsequently, presents the Existentialism, when man is recognized as a free being and able to build its own history; and the Humanist movement, when many human values are revealed such as the human potential and tendency to growth. Finally, it is discussed the main ideas and concepts, from the thoughts mentioned above, that characterize the phenomenological-existential psychotherapies as an approach that recognizes human freedom and respects the client as someone able to find their own way once immersed in a favorable environment.

Kawabata is one of Japan’s leading writers. Kawabata’s works are a place to preserve and preserve old traditional values becoming a miraculous bridge to bring Japan across the ocean to the whole world, and to bring the world to the land of beautiful cherry blossoms. Therefore, his works have been the object of many large and small research projects domestically and internationally. Within the scope of the article, we have conducted surveys of works and articles on traditional cultural symbols in Kawabata’s novels under the following angles: Biography, Poetry, Psychoanalysis and Culture, thereby, affirming the talent and the unique art style of Kawabata. Beauty is at the heart of culture and art in Japan so Kawabata’s writing point of view also focused on the ultimate beauty including its expression and the way in which it is expressed.

Alexandre Rousselin biography explores how the French Revolution inspired an educated Parisian to become a terrorist and then spent the next forty-five years dealing with the consequences of his choices. Alexandre Rousselin became the confidential secretary of Camille Desmoulins and Georges-Jacques Danton before undertaking two missions to Champagne as a commissioner for the Committee of Public Safety in the fall of 1793. His enthusiastic implementation of the Terror left him vulnerable to denunciation as a terrorist after the fall of his patrons. Sent before the Revolutionary Tribunal, he was acquitted, as part of political shift that brought down Maximilien Robespierre. Rousselin spent the next few years in and out of jail as he sought rehabilitation despite ongoing denunciations. The coup d’etat of Napoleon Bonaparte in 1799 made him an outsider. Rousselin had to find other means of earning a living and being useful. Acquiring a noble title, he helped to found the liberal standard-bearer Le Constitutionnel, the bestselling newspaper in the world in the 1820s, where he fought against censorship and for limitations on government authority paving the way for the Revolution of 1830. Although the newspaper made him rich and influential, he retired in 1838 to write history in order to avoid the consequences of his past as a terrorist. His biography explores the role of emotions and institutions across the Age of Revolution for the large generation of survivors of this exceptional trauma: Rousselin’s choices show how a revolutionary became a liberal.

Malebranche holds that sensory experience represents the world from the body’s point of view. The chapter argues that Malebranche gives a systematic analysis of this bodily perspective in terms of the claim that the five external senses and bodily awareness represent nothing but relations to the body. The external senses represent relations between external objects and the perceiver’s body. Bodily awareness represents relations between parts of the perceiver’s body and her body as a whole, and the way she is related to her body. The senses thus represent the perceiver’s body as standing in two very different sets of relations. The external senses relate the body to a world of external objects, while bodily awareness relates this same body to the perceiver herself. The perceiver’s body, for Malebranche, is the center of the system of relations that make up her sensory world, bridging the gap between self and external objects.

"The material and immaterial cultural patrimony of Rroma ethnicity This study aims to address a series of cultural values representative of the Rroma from the perspective of traditional trades, inherited or practiced and which define their ethnic identity. It is too unlikely to know exactly who and what the Rroma were due to the lack of sources and moreover, written studies about this ethnic group were based more on elements related to folklore or legends. Starting from the premise that, from a historical and conceptual point of view, the Rroma people have not yet defined themselves as identity anymore, for a long time the monopoly on the definition of Rroma belonged to the majority, the study aims to illustrate those cultural elements in within the community that were and are still in the contemporary period a landmark of unconditional self-definition of the Rroma. The indicators to which we refer as individuals in those situations in which we are exposed to name and qualify a group, are not only those of certified historical nature through writings, they are also established in the context of how the group expresses its material cultural heritage and immaterial that it represents. Although this concept promotes the need to know the identity of groups, the Rroma ethnic group has difficulties in terms of the identity culture displayed and the way it is perceived by society. The Rroma minority, indeed, encounters difficulties from a socio-economic point of view, the vast majority of society referring to this deficit in the situations of labeling and defining the Rroma identity. However, the Rroma ethnicity can also be defined on the basis of specific values attested by ethnicity, cultural values such as trades, crafts and customs, dress, spoken language and human values such as unity, solidarity, trust and faith. Thus, the study itself aims to illustrate those unknown or less known elements about the Rroma, exposing those cultural-traditional values that have the role of defining the identity of the Rroma not according to the socio-educational level (misery, poverty, deprived people of scruples, minority, etc.) but depending on the way in which the Rroma, both at individual and group level, relate to values of heritage elements when they define themselves. Physicians who participate in the media may perform an important public health service for their communities. Physicians who understand the media (and their influence) may decide to engage and work with the press to inform society on a variety of issues in medicine. Physicians have access to information and knowledge as well as experience, a perspective and a point of view valuable to the public. They have something to say and something to teach the public because they do it every day in their practice, in their profession, and with their patients. Improving their understanding of reporters’ roles, responsibilities, and professional guidelines, along with an overview of the world of medical journalism, may help reduce physicians’ anxiety and potentially help them relate to journalists and interact with the press. Physicians will want to learn important guidelines from the American Medical Association and other organizations regarding their involvement with the media, whether writing a news article or being interviewed on television. This chapter includes the “what, why, how, when, and where” regarding all of the information and advice physicians need before working with or in traditional media.

AbstractThe present article reviews the concepts of enunciation in Greimas’s and other semioticians’ works; it examines the way in which these latter revisit Benveniste, the reorientations they propose or the aspects they leave aside, such as the distinction between speaker (as the source of an actualized utterance) and enunciator (as the source of a point of view in a propositional content composed of a modus and a dictum), distinction which, though not present in Benveniste’s work, has been developed afterwards. The article discusses: the link between enunciation and phenomenology, sensoriality and passions; the cognitive processes engaged in the subject’s confrontation to the world which have played a major role in the “post-Greimas” trend and especially in the case of an enunciative praxis that goes beyond narrativity. Nevertheless, this unquestionable enlargement of the notion of enunciation contradicts neither Greimas’s earlier concepts, nor a textual and essentially semiotic approach, due to the attention paid to the structures and to an overall analysis of the materiality of discourse.

Abstract The paper deals with the use of English as a lingua franca. It concentrates on the environment of international meetings where English is used as a lingua franca. The aim of the research conducted through a survey of members of a NATO working group is to find out how native and non-native speakers feel about English used as a lingua franca during international meetings and how these two groups of speakers see each other in multinational interaction from the point of view of linguistics. The sections dealing with non-native speakers concentrate on the level of knowledge of English and on how native speakers cope with the English used during the meetings. The sections dealing with the views of English native speakers should establish the approach they take towards mistakes made by non-native speakers, whether native speakers should adjust the way they speak at international meetings and how they generally view the fact that their mother tongue is used all around the world.
