Many studies explore the effect of perception of organizational politics on job satisfaction but a very few investigate for the factors that are salient to this relationship. Perceptions of politics have been considered to be a source of stress at workplace which has detrimental consequences on the desired outcomes. Current study aims to explore the effects of perception of organizational politics (POP) and core self-evaluation (CSE) on employee job satisfaction. The present research also examines core self-evaluation as a moderator in the relationship between perception of organizational politics and job satisfaction. With a sample size of 100 respondents drawn from the health sector of 3rd largest city of Pakistan, named Faisalabad, the current study tested the main effects of POP and CSE on job satisfaction by using a self-administered survey having a total of 30 items. For analyzing the data, SPSS was used. As hypothesized, results show that perceived organizational politics had a significant negative relationship with job satisfaction but the results for CSE were not significant. Furthermore, CSE moderated the relationship of POP and job satisfaction, such that the negative relationship between perception of organizational politics and job satisfaction was weaker when core self-evaluation was high.

Previously a great stream of research is available on perceptions of organizational politics and its harmful aftermaths at workplace. Now a day’s scholarly attention diverts from aftermaths to search out for moderators or mediators that could reduce the harmful effects of POP at workplace outcomes. The purpose current study carries in itself is to explore the combined effects of perception of organizational politics and core self-evaluation on the work outcome of turnover intention.  The present research also focuses on the use of a moderator named as core self-evaluation in the relationship of perception of organizational politics and turnover intention. In our study a sample size of 100 respondents were taken from the health sector of 3rd largest city of Pakistan, named Faisalabad, through this study we want to explore the main effects that POP and CSE could have on turnover intention for this purpose self-administered surveys were conducted by using a questionnaire having a number of 27 items in it. In this research we analyzed the data by using SPSS software. As hypothesized, that Perceived organizational politics had a significant positive relationship with turnover intentions but the results for CSE were not significantly support the hypothesis. As hypothesized, negative relationship exists between perception of organizational politics and turnover intention was weaker when core self-evaluation was high.

The present study was an endeavor to extend the literature of perceived organizational politics by examining its moderating role between the relationship of organizational citizenship behavior and production deviance. Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale (Mackenzie, Podsakoff, & Paine, 1999), Production Deviance sub-scale of Counterproductive Work Behavior Checklist-32 (Spector et al., 2006), and Perception of Organizational Politics Scale (Kacmar & Carlson, 1997) were used in present study. Hierarchical regression analyses revealed that low levels of perceived organizational politics moderated the relationship between courtesy and production deviance by strengthening the negative relationship of these behaviors while perceived organizational politics did not act as a moderator for the relationship of civic virtue and conscientiousness with production deviance. High level of go-along-to-get-ahead as a moderator strengthened the relationship of civic virtue and conscientiousness with production deviance and its low level was found to be moderating the relationship between courtesy and production deviance. Future implications of the study were also discussed.

The research investigated the relationship of emotion work directed towards customers and towards coworkers with job satisfaction in Saudi Arabia. Emotion work means the requirement to display particular emotions as part of the job and includes surface acting where actual emotions differ from displayed emotions and deep acting where displayed and felt emotions are congruent. Participants were 147 flight attendants (31 men, 116 women; mean age = 36.9 years, SD = 7.5) employed by a major Saudi Arabian airline, who were either Saudi nationals or nationals of other Gulf Arab countries. Data were collected with questionnaires. Analysis was based on the General Linear Model and indicated that deep acting towards customers and towards coworkers was positively related to job satisfaction. On the other hand, the hypothesized negative relationship between surface acting and job satisfaction was not supported. Organizational trust moderated the relationship of emotion work with job satisfaction. The findings indicate the importance of considering emotion work in interactions with coworkers along with the influence of national culture in the relationships of emotion work with key variables.

This study aimed to determine the correlation of stress and well-being with gratitude moderation in early adults in Aceh. The method of this research was carried out using a quantitative approach. This study involved 349 early adults (264 female, 85 male) with age range of 20-40 years (M = 22.20) selected through the nonprobability sampling method with incidental sampling techniques. Individual’s stress levels were measured using the Perceived Stress Scale, well-being was measured using the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale, and gratitude was measured using the Skala Bersyukur Indonesia. Data were analyzed using moderated regression analysis to test the research hypothesis. The results showed that stress had a significant negative relationship to well-being (β1 = -0.788; p < 0.05), then gratitude was able to moderate the relationship of stress and well-being (β3 = 3.257; p < 0.05). This study showed that there was a correlation between stress and well-being with gratitude moderation. It meant that grateful people focus on things that are grateful for every day, so that the impact on low stress levels and can improve individual well-being.

School is essential during the process of students individual growing. School well-being important to be paid attention to in order to provide comfort for students. A research proves that one student will be comfortable getting surrounded by friendly teachers and friends who bring positive influence at school. Students of school with unfriendly environment behave negatively by doing things like playing truant, fighting with other students, smoking, and vandalism which are known as student’s delinquencies. This research aims to observe the relationship of school well-being with juvenile delinquencies by students in SMKN 2 Kota Kupang. This is a quantitative research used 330 students. The result proves that there is a significant negative relationship between the two variables which is -0.255 with the significance value of 0.000. The result also shows that there is a significant negative relationship among all of the aspects of school well-being with the delinquency.

 Large number of previous studies have tested that perception of organizational politics negatively impact on employee outcomes with linear relationship. To ascertain the condition where perception of organizational politics can be fruitful for employee outcomes, this study measured the nonlinear relationship of perception of organizational politics with satisfaction with co-workers and job stress. 453 employees working with microfinance companies in Kathmandu valley were surveyed to get cross sectional perceptual data. To infer the conclusion, data were analyzed adopting quantitative analysis, deductive reasoning approach as well as positivist research philosophy. Empirical evidences revealed the nonlinear impact of perception of organizational politics on satisfaction with co-workers and job stress. Both high and low levels of perceived organizational politics were harmful for satisfaction with co-workers and job stress. But a medium level of perception of organizational politics was fruitful for satisfaction with co-workers and job stress. The relationship between perception of organizational politics and satisfaction with co-workers was inverted U-shaped and the relationship between perception of organizational politics and job stress was U-shaped. Based on the findings, numbers of practical as well as theoretical implications are suggested.

<p>Participants belonging to demarcated areas, 100 from a cautioned area and 100 from not a cautioned area located in close vicinity of a district including 50 male and 50 female in each, equated on education and residing in urban and rural areas were tested for the level of self-efficacy with Self-efficacy Scale and the levels of fear of unknown with a self-evolved scale based on some borrowed items from Beck Anxiety Inventory assuming that both groups of participants may behave differently due to nature of residing area? The results reflected a difference in self-efficacy and unknown fear, the response difference on both measures were also observed in urban and rural areas, significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and unknown fear was also observed. Some gender related information emerged as well. Implication regarding the relationship of residing briefly discussed with reference to town planning, law enforcement and adventurism. </p>

Attrition is the major problem in the Indian Retail Industry which experienced the attrition rate of 19.4% in FY 2016 according to KPMG Annual Compensation Trends Survey 2017-18. The focus of these organizations is to reduce turnover by focusing on the underlying factors leading to turnover intentions and actual turnover. The present study was conducted to explore the effect of job satisfaction and core self-evaluation on turnover intentions. The purpose of the study was also to see if core self-evaluation (CSE) moderates the relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intentions. The study was conducted using structured questionnaires for measuring the above-mentioned variables. The sample of the study was 347 salespersons from various retail organizations working in Delhi and NCR. Hierarchical multiple regression showed that both job satisfaction and CSE were negatively related to turnover intentions. Also, CSE was found to moderate the relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intentions such that the relationship was stronger for the employees with low core self-evaluation. The present study has important implications for policy makers in the retail sector. Managers should use strategies to increase job satisfaction in order to curb high attrition in this sector. They must be aware of the moderating role played by personality attributes in the relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intentions.

The aim of this study is to investigate the moderating effect of employees’ religiosity on the relationship between their burnout and job satisfaction. The research was carried out on a total of 326 people working in the banking, education, and tourism sectors. According to the research results, a significant negative relationship was found between the burnout levels of the employees and their job satisfaction. The research also determined that intrinsic religious orientation reduced the negative effect between burnout and job satisfaction, while extrinsic religious orientation had no moderating effect on the negative relationship between burnout and job satisfaction.
