Social relations between students and their peers have not been studied more extensively in our expert scientific literature, and performed studies have rarely focused on the association between these relations and school achievement. Comparison of the quality of social relations and school achievement at different ages has been especially neglected, which is the basic goal of this paper. The sample comprised 235 fifth-grade students and 230 eighth-grade students from nine (18 in total) classes in each grade, selected from four schools from the narrow Belgrade area. Besides students, research also comprised their class teachers, whose number corresponded to the number of classes that students came from (18). Twenty-seven variables were entered in correlation matrix for fourth- and eighth-grade students, and factor analysis yielded nine factors, which were only slightly different between the two ages. In both cases, acceptance by peers and orientation towards peers had the biggest importance in explaining the total variability. The factors in multiple logistic regression which determined the school achievement of fifth-graders to the largest extent were their acceptance, parents' characteristics (educational level and employment) and social adaptation. When it comes to eighth-grade students, educational level of parents and social adaptation are directly correlated with school success, and aggressiveness is inversely correlated with this variable.

The goal of this research is to know the students' ability in using paired conjunction in a simple sentence. Based on the limitation of the problem, the researchers limit the problem in using paired conjunction just focuses on the use of not only ..... but also, both ..... and, either ..... or, and neither ..... nor. Before doing the research, the researchers observed to know the number of classes in the eighth grade of SMP PGRI Tembilahan. The number of eighth-grade students just consists of one class, namely Class A. The population of this research was all of the eighth-grade students because the sample of population less than 100 the researcher used total sampling technique. The researchers used a quantitative method to get the data needed. The research instrument is tested and collected by students’ test scores where they were asked to identify the paired conjunction in a simple sentence with the total correct paired conjunction (30). So that, each correct paired conjunction was scored by 3.3. Based on the result of the test, the mean score of their ability in using paired conjunction is 70.62. It is categorized good level, which includes in the interval 61-80. Where there are no students who got in a very good score, five students obtained a good score and there is no gained in enough, poor, and very poor score. So, based on that explanation, it can be concluded that their ability in using paired conjunction in the simple sentence at eighth grade of SMP PGRI Tembilahan include in the average was enough and understanding to use paired conjunction.

The purpose of this study was to develop a realistic worksheet using the Ethnomatematics on SPLDV material and to determine the quality of worksheets in terms of validity and practicality. The method used in this study is the Research and Dependency (R&D) method which is a developmental study referring to the 4-D development model, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate modified to 3-D. The instruments used to measure the quality of worksheets that were developed include validation sheets, and practicality questionnaires. The product of this research is a realistic worksheet using ethnomatematics context on SPLDV material with the advice of eighth grade students of junior high school. The results showed that: (1) the quality of worksheets seen from the validity aspects included in the valid category with an overall average score of 3.06; and (2) the quality of worksheets seen from the practical aspect is categorized very practical with an overall average score of 3.5. Conclusion, the development of PMRI-based worksheets in the context of ethnomatematics in SPLDV material was declared valid and practically used by students. Keywords: Ethnomatematics worksheet, PMRI, SPLDV

This article analyses how physical activity reinforces each of the dimensions (mental, physical, social, etc.) of the health-related quality of life concept. To that end, we determined whether this relationship is moderated by educational level and area of residence. The empirical part was based on data obtained from a cross-sectional survey carried out in the Casablanca neighbourhood (Zaragoza, Spain). The sample comprised 1083 participants aged between 25 and 84 years residing in the three residential areas of this neighbourhood: Viñedo Viejo, Las Nieves and Fuentes Claras. These three areas exhibit significant socio-economic differences in their population. The self-reported questionnaire included the following key information for this study: socio-economic characteristics (sex, age, educational level and area of residence) and health-related quality of life (WHOQOL-Brief: mental health, physical health, social relations and environment). The main results obtained from the descriptive statistics and regression systems were added. Playing a sport or undertaking some physical activity brings many health benefits, both physical and mental. The educational level and area of residence affect this relationship, such that the effects of physical activity are greater for those residents of Casablanca who have a higher educational level and/or live in more favoured areas of this neighbourhood. The results have also been discussed by sex and age group. Investing in innovative programmes in educational institutions and communities to acquire healthy habits and behaviour patterns that take into account socioeconomic differences in the population would be an advisable public health strategy.

In a small rural community, 267 eighth grade students completed the Junior Index of Motivation as well as the California Achievement Test and the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills in reading and mathematics. Significant small to moderate correlations ( P < .01) between the total motivational scale scores and achievement test scores were observed. Factor I, labeled “General Adequacy,” in the motivational scale seemed to contribute most to the achievement test scores.

This study intended to develop an android-based application for English reading material learning for the eighth-grade students in MTsN Karangasem. This study used the design and development design model proposed by Richey & Klein (2014) which consisted of three major steps namely; 1) Design, 2) Development, 3) Evaluation. The subjects of this study were the eighth grade students of MTsN Karangasem, the English teacher in MTsN Karangasem, and integrated technology experts. The instruments used in this study were questionnaire, interview guide, and product evaluation sheets. The data were collected and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the students’ motivation to learn English was lack and need more learning resources or materials to learn reading comprehension. The eighth-grade students need a smartphone application that provides reading material learnt in the class. The material developed in this study was limited to Recount Text material. The quality of the application got a high score from experts, which categorized in the excellent category. The use of the effective application with meaningful learning activities
