Resource potential of solid non-metallic mineral resources (SNMR) of the Chechen republic is considered in the article. Modern condition of SNMR supplies and resources structure has been analyzed. The main problems in reproduction and usage of mineral raw material base has been determined, recommendations on geological exploration development and minerals exploitation of the Republic has been worked out

The Strategy for the management and utilization of mineral resources of the Republic Srpska includes inevitably the mineral resource base as an essential element of material and social development, and it is one of the significant reliance forms on its own suorces in achieving economic development. In this sense, geological exploration, like an important activity in providing mineral resources for the development of the economy of the Republic Srpska, has not been given adequate attention since the 1990 and has not been systematically conducted at all. The practice of the surrounding countries, and also in the earlier period, in these regions was such that geological exploration were treated adequately with the importance of mineral resources and, accordingly, funds were provided for their financing by the state and also by users of mineral resources. Today, there are no systematic geological surveys in the Republic Srpska and no systematic sources for their financing. The geological research activity in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the former Yugoslavia, throughout the earlier period, was characterized by relatively good organization and coherence of the research program. Due to this, many remarkable results have been achieved, which justify the realized investments in many ways. The paper presents the basic characteristics of the mineral raw material base of the Republic Srpska, as then an analysis of inefficiency and stagnation in the research was done, and finally suggestions are given the necessary activities to improve the present situation.

Curent situation of raw material base and study of limestone like construction stone deposits in the Republic of Serbian were relatively poorly considered during the last decades, and the main problems are the following: low production capacity fragmentation of production, needs for raw materials homogenization and delivering of standard quality, undeveloped market, the recession of the domestic economy and the economies in the region, the relatively low level of exploration by many deposits, especially lack of knowledge of the occurrence legality for certain types and quality of raw materials and lack of complete quality indicators for raw material, which sometimes causes the utilization of only the highest quality deposit parts. This paper provides an overview of active quarries in the Republic Srpska with exploitation of limestone like technical building stone and present an attempt to determine the basic quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the raw material and the current working conditions at these quarries. The purpose of such a review would be in an effort to create a clearer picture about production, market, social and other aspects of the limestone exploitation in the Republika Srpska and the realistic possibilities of maintaining and developing of these mineral resources utilization, which can certainlybe interesting for the development of many other industries in the Republic Srpska.

Mineral resources as natural resources constitute the backbone of the development of the nationaleconomy of each country, and their valorization should be classified into its strategic developmentplans. Polyvalent industrial branches of the economy today are unthinkable without adequate supply ofraw materials, analysis of raw material base, their preparation and processing, technology of breedingand possible application.Due to the geological structure of the municipality of Gračanica, carbonate raw materials are one of themost important non-metallic mineral raw materials. In the territory of the municipality of Gračanicathere are numerous areas with deposits of carbonate raw materials (architectural and constructional andtechnical-construction stone), among which the "Sklop" deposit occupies the most important place. Thispaper presents the geological characteristics, types of carbonate raw materials, deposits, reserves, quality and potentiality.

Based on SWOT-analysis, the article assesses the formation and development of industrial sectors in the Nizhneamudarya economic region, and studies geographical aspects of effective use of resource potential in the development of the region's industry. The SWOT-analysis shows that the mineral resources of Karakalpakstan are very rich. Using the mineral wealth of the Sultan-Uvais mountains and the oil and gas resource potential of the Ustyurt plateau and the Aral sea region, it is possible to create poles of industrial growth based on the launch of new capacities. Khorezm region is distinguished by the fact that it has a rich industrial raw material base, which makes it possible to provide the population of the region with products of light, brick and tile, and food industry. Attention should also be paid to the availability of cheap labor force. The analysis shows that the district's strengths include a rich industrial raw material base, which allows the development of a number of heavy and light industries. Weaknesses are related to the fact that a significant part of the territory is desert, as well as to the weak development of transport infrastructure, which leads to low agricultural productivity.

The state and prospects of development of the liquid biofuel market in the context of rationalization of the use of the available natural resource potential of the Ukraine are considered. It is established that, in general, the balance of renewable energy sources, production and use of liquid biofuels is negligible. It is noted that for the full development of the market of liquid biofuels, it is necessary to create a strong raw material base and appropriate infrastructure to ensure the storage, processing, transportation and sale of finished products. Attention is drawn to a lack of an effective public policy system that would encourage the production and use of bioethanol and biodiesel and the feasibility of developing a financial support programme for producers of this type of biofuel to ensure greater consumer appeal over traditional fuels. It is determined that in order to meet the indicators of the National Action Plan for the production of bioethanol and biodiesel, it is necessary to increase capacity and put new processing enterprises into operation. The structure of economic model formation is suggested, which reflects the necessary solutions for the development of the liquid biofuel market, which considers its benefits, risks, product confidence and types of support.

The article considers a comprehensive analysis of the oil and gas complex of the regions of Eastern Siberia and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The features of the structure of the raw material base were revealed – a low degree of exploration and the rate of reproduction of stocks, imbalance in categories of stocks. The state of oil production in the region with differentiation by field is presented, the current state and prospects of expansion of the ESPO pipeline are analyzed.

Aggregates and other mineral raw materials are important prerequisites for the continual development of the infrastructure and economic growth of a country. Th e production of these raw materials in Denmark amounted to c. 4.5 m3 per capita in 2012, which was 57% higher than the average in EU and EFTA countries (UEPG 2014). In this perspective, it is essential to locate and assess the Danish mineral resources in order to plan future exploitation, especially in densely populated regions where both spatial competition for landuse and demands for raw materials are high. Here we present the methods used in a recent resource evaluation that for the fi rst time includes Danish resources both on land and at sea and summarises some of the main fi ndings of this analysis.
