The low level of discipline among elementary school students has resulted in a sustainable impact on students. The problem in this study is the level of student discipline which is less influenced by the lack of attention to the position of parents towards children. This study aimed to find out more about the position of democratic parents in the formation of discipline in learning for grade III SD students. This study used a qualitative approach and descriptive type in presenting the research data. The method used in data collection was using the method of observation, interviews, and field notes. The results showed that the position of democratic parents has a very strategic role in the formation of learning discipline for third grade elementary school students. Through the democratic parenting style, parents are able to provide learning assistance and the formation of student character. Not only have that students also been accustomed by parents to have regular activities in the family environment, especially in the discipline of learning. Therefore, the position of democratic parents plays a very important role in the formation of student learning discipline. The suggestions that can be taken from this study for parents are expected to be able to provide good learning assistance to children so that children have a high level of discipline and interest in learning.

This study aims to describe the values ​​of character education in the fairy tale Bawang Merah Bawang Putih and its relevance for strengthening the character of elementary school students. The data of this research is the story of Bawang Merah Bawang Putih which was obtained from the fairy tale book by Runna Aulia and Ghais Ramadhani. The data collection technique used is documentation. This stage of the data analysis technique is carried out by data condensation. Presentation of data, as well as conclusions and verification of research results. The results of this study are 5 character values ​​contained in the fairy tale Bawang Merah Bawang Putih, such as the value of the character of hard work, the value of the character of discipline, the value of the character of responsibility, the value of the character of social care, the value of the character of curiosity. This study also found 5 character values ​​that exist in strengthening character education, such as the value of telligiosity, nationalism, integrity, independence and mutual cooperation. The characters in this fairy tale can also be used as learning content at school. there are good examples so that students can find good learning to be applied to everyday life such as the school environment, community and family environment.

The purpose of this research is the development of local culture-based Pop-Up Book media based on process skills to train students' confidence that is valid, practical and effective. Focus on the PPKn class IV load, the sub-theme of my national culture diversity. This type of research uses the ADDIE development model (analysts, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The research subjects were fourth grade students of elementary school. The results of the local culture-based Pop-Up Book media validation of Grade IV elementary school students are (1) Local culture-based Pop-Up media have teaching material that has a movable part with two-dimensional elements. (2) Fulfilling valid criteria with the results of the material expert test reaching a 97% validity level with the category of "very good", for the test results media experts reached a 91% validity level with the category "very good" and worth trying out. After obtaining the validation results, a small group trial and interview were conducted to find out the practicality of the local culture-based Pop-Up media in grade IV elementary school students. Based on the experiments conducted, it can be concluded that the Pop-Up media that was developed has a high level of validity qualifications, so that this media is suitable for use in learning.

<p>This article is aimed to describe whether Total Physical Response can enhance the students’ vocabulary mastery and the students’ attention during the implementation of Total Physical Response. The Classroom Action Research is adopted as the research design. The data were collected by conducting observation, interview, test and making field notes. The qualitative data were analyzed by Miles and Huberman’s method namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Meanwhile, the quantitative data were analyzed by using non-independent t-test and simple statistical method. Based on the data collected from 32 students of one elementary school in Surakarta in the academic year of 2017/2018, the findings show that the implementation of Total Physical Response can enhance the students’ vocabulary mastery and there are active students in the classroom during the implementation of Total Physical Response.<strong></strong></p>

The following case study describes and interprets pen pal letter exchanges between medical students and rural elementary school students. This study was carried out with three third and fourth semester medical students at a public university in Tunja, Colombia. In addition, we also worked with a group of five elementary school girls from a rural community located 20 minutes from the university. Both groups participated in exchanging pen pal letters in English as a way to foster the sociocultural competence in communication. In order to analyze the communication established between the participants, we used students’ artifacts, field notes, and reflective discussions. The findings revealed that the students’ fostered authentic communication based on the language they wanted to convey. As the communication between the students developed, instances of affiliates, advice giving, imitation, modeling, and empathy appeared. The pen pal letters showed that both groups are in a crucial period of identity construction, for which pen pal letters can help empower students and model positive behavior.

The purpose of the work is to theoretically justify and experimentally prove the effectiveness of the use of musical and didactic games as a means of teaching younger students in music lessons and identify its advantages in comparison with traditional methods. The main conclusion of the work – a comparative analysis of the results of experimental work showed that significant changes took place in the development of the musicality of elementary school students, in which musical and didactic games were used. In general, after the use of music and didactic games in music lessons in elementary school, more schoolchildren with a high level of musicality development were identified. The results of the study showed the effectiveness and efficiency of developing the musicality of primary school students using music and didactic games and the feasibility of their use in music lessons in primary school. The great advantage of games is that this type of work is joyfully perceived by younger students, and you can organize the game so that it will contribute to solving the problems of their musical training, education, development. When using music and didactic games in music lessons in elementary school, the dynamics of the development of the musicianship of students is clearly observed.

<p class="abstrak">The problem of discipline is an issue that is considered common in the classroom setting.  The researcher found that the lack of discipline in some students in a grade 3 elementary school in Kupang made the atmosphere in the classroom uncomfortable and not conducive to learning. The researcher's aim was to integrate democratic-based rewards and consequences into the discipline process. Classroom Action Research was used with 4 students as the subjects. The study implemented in three cycles from October 16, 2017, to November 1, 2017. The instruments that were used in continuing to the next cycle were students' activities and observation; other instruments were observation of the method's implementation, mentor's interview, and students' questionnaires. The result of the research showed improved changes to student discipline from cycle one to cycle three.</p><p class="abstrak"><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: </strong>Masalah disiplin di dalam kelas adalah suatu kebiasaan yang sudah dianggap umum terjadi di dalam kelas. Pada saat mengajar peneliti menemukan masalah kurangnya disiplin pada beberapa siswa di kelas 3 sekolah dasar Kupang yang menjadikan kelas tidak nyaman dan tidak kondusif untuk dilaksanakan pembelajaran. Peneliti bertujuan untuk memadukan antara demokrasi, imbalan dan konsekuensi dalam proses pendisiplinan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tindakan kelas dengan 4 orang siswa sebagai subyek. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sampai tiga siklus dari tanggal 16 Oktober 2017 sampai dengan 1 November 2017. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk melanjutkan siklus adalah lembar observasi aktivitas siswa dan instrumen lainnya adalah lembar observasi penerapan metode, wawancara mentor dan angket siswa. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan kedisiplinan yang lebih baik pada siswa dari siklus satu hingga siklus ke tiga.</p>

Abstract. The background of this study is the low attitude of student discipline during distance learning. This study aims to determine the benefits of WhatsApp groups in distance learning on improving the discipline attitude of elementary school students. Student discipline is very important to improve learning outcomes. The data used is secondary data, as well as the research method used is literature study research. The analysis technique used in this study is the content analysis. The data obtained will be collected, analyzed, and concluded to get the expected conclusion. Based on the results of literature research from several journals written by researchers previously showed that the use of WhatsApp groups in distance learning is very useful in the process of increasing student discipline.

In order to minimize the spread of Covid-19, students must learn from home. However, studying from home online is often ineffective. In addition, the existence of Covid-19 requires awareness of a healthy lifestyle. This activity aims to help the learning process from home and growing Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) in elementary school students. Methods of problem solving were carried out by socialization, training, and assistance to partners. Activities carried out include hand washing practices, socialization about Covid-19, training in making hand sanitizers, face shields, and tie dye masks. Furthermore, this activity was able to optimize the learning process from home and form a new awareness of the importance of clean and healthy living habits.

The purpose of this study was to determine the direct influence student attitudes and interests of student learning to the learning outcomes Elementary School fifth grade science students in District Menthobi Raya Regency Lamandau. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey method with a causal approach. Sampling study amounted to 40 respondents. Withdrawal of the number of samples using Cluster Random Sampling (Sampling Area). The findings of this research are: 1) The attitude of the students positive direct effect on learning outcomes IPA elementary school students in District Menthobi Raya Regency Lamandau. That is the positive attitude of students in the study will lead to good learning outcomes, 2) Interest in learning a direct positive effect on learning outcomes Elementary School fifth grade science students in District Menthobi Raya Regency Lamandau. This means that there is interest in learning on students will lead to good learning outcomes, 3) direct effect positive student attitude toward interest in learning science elementary school students in District Menthobi Raya Regency Lamandau.   Keywords: Student Attitude, Interest In Learning, Learning Outcomes.   Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh langsung Sikap siswa dan Minat belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD di Kecamatan Menthobi Raya Kabupaten Lamandau. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey dengan pendekatan kausal. Pengambilan sampel penelitian berjumlah 40 responden. Penarikan jumlah sampel menggunakan Cluster Random Sampling (Area Sampling). Temuan yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Sikap siswa berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa SD di Kecamatan Menthobi Raya Kabupaten Lamandau. Artinya sikap siswa yang positif dalam belajar akan menyebabkan hasil belajar yang baik, 2) Minat belajar berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD di Kecamatan Menthobi Raya Kabupaten Lamandau. Artinya minat belajar yang ada pada diri siswa akan menyebabkan hasil belajar yang baik, 3) Sikap siswa berpengaruh langsung positif terhadap minat belajar IPA siswa SD di Kecamatan Menthobi Raya Kabupaten Lamandau.   Kata kunci: Sikap siswa, Minat belajar, Hasil belajar.
