The aim of this research is to develop an specialty sprayer for fruits. It is expected that the sprayer will be able to assist farmers in improving the quality of the fruits. Sprayer is a pesticide applicator that is needed in eradicating and controlling plant pests and diseases. Problems that are often found in the sling type sprayer are the high weight of the sprayer and the short range of spraying so that it is not efficient nor effective for application with high trees. The purpose of this research is to develop the design of fruit sprayer using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. The data generated were analyzed using House of Quality. Results showed that important weight values in the House of Quality analysis included the attributes of the spray lever, easeness of operation and easeness of moving with a score of 4.80, 4.46 and 4.50, respectively. Based on the analysis, the sprayer was developed using a wheel drive system with the addition of wheels and spray levers that can be extended or shortened by adjusting the spray lever knock.

Kebumen tourism is dominated by south coast destination objects with combat routes ranging from half to two hours drive from the city center. Since 2015 tourist visits  have increased, but on average only 14%. This is not comparable with the budget issued by the government to date which focuses on tourism infrastructure and the opening of new objects, especially coastal areas. According to preliminary studies the cause is because of visitor dissatisfaction with the quality of services provided, especially coastal tourism. So as to provide recommendations for improvements in tourism services in this study, the quality function deployment (QFD) method is based on servqual evaluation specifically for tourism dimensions. There are 43 variables used to define the quality of service dimensions of tourism for visitors. By using additional kano models, 12 critical variables were obtained. Then the critical variable produces 16 technical responses through the house of quality method for later as a recommendation for improvement. With the priority of repairs are; making tourist management SOPs, adding cleaners, and adding a viewing post/spot

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is defined as a method that supports the structured design of products or services. The method is based on the customer needs and involves all the relevant parties within an organization that develops and produces a product through teamwork. It is a method for mapping and prioritizing customer requirements into functional features and technical modules to optimize market performance. Although the quality of a service can be dramatically improved through a QFD exercise, the traditional crisp scoring approach has a major drawback. A wrong conclusion can be easily produced since the fuzzy nature of linguistic correlation terms from evaluation members is ignored. To overcome this problem, fuzzy scoring for linguistic terms is proposed in this paper. This study integrates fuzzy logic into House Of Quality to establish a framework for prioritizing customer requirements to simply, objectively, and scientifically analyze service features.

This paper purposed is to apply Quality Function Deployment (QFD) for Parking System Improvement at Taman Bendahara from perspective of customers. The main issue for the QFD problem was from the ‘what’ the customer requirement and ‘how’ to implement the problem to solutions. These two components emphasized on the House of Quality (HOQ) matrices. For this research, a systematic procedure is used in QFD method by applying a factor analysis and correlation Spearman. Factor analysis is the best group identified from the data and reduced the unused items. As for the correlation Spearman, it was used in order to see the relationship and strength of each factor. The result in this research identified four best group criteria which are availability, layout and design, safety and access point. These four criteria indicate the main improvement needed for parking system. By using the QFD method, the management of parking system at Taman Bendahara should listen to the customers’ voice to seek a solution for these issues. This study proposed strategy can be applied for others management to identify the solution for parking problems.

ABSTRACT University of 17 Agustus 1945 or UNTAG Banyuwangi is a private university, where the source of mostly income comes from students or in other words that all forms of activities carried out are geared towards students, therefore efforts to acquire new students from year to year must be increased, one the effort that must be done is that UNTAG Banyuwangi is in addition to implementing the PMB program (admission of new students) with effective and great promotions as well as keeping students who have attended UNTAG Banyuwangi not stop studying midway. Therefore it is necessary to conduct research on the analysis of the quality of education services to the students' responses through Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach in improving the performance of UNTAG Banyuwangi. The sampling result of the level of importance and satisfaction on the dimensions of infrastructure, learning process, human resources, curriculum and student affairs of all variables have corrected total correlation value greater than 0.1430 (r table value) for each dimension, of the sample questionnaire of 83 students have been valid. For the value of  (alpha) obtained each dimension is also greater than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the data is reliable. The results of the analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of UNTAG are based on their importance and level of satisfaction are then plotted into quadrant maps Variables included in quadrant IV are weaknesses for UNTAG Banyuwangi educational institutions, namely: How to teach Lecturers, Strategies for teaching lecturers are understood by students, The ability of lecturers to use learning tools white board, UHP, LCD, lecturers in teaching in class, how to deliver material, how to answer student questions, quality of lecturers in conducting research, community service, infrastructure (office, classroom, laboratory room, studio , library rooms, experimental gardens, etc. except lecturer room), facilities / equipment used in the learning process such as computers, software and hardware. Expansion of world economy brings changes in the way of thinking which can be seen in customers' demands. This directly influences the increase in demands at designing of a new or modifications of the existing products. Quality Function Deployment is a method directed towards revealing customers' wishes, which guarantees that these wishes have a positive effect on the product design and on the development of manufacturing process. Using and interpreting certain surveys of different types in the right way, additional advantages can be achieved in increasing of competitiveness in free markets. The most significant advantage is the possibility of using those specialists' expressions most often used by potential customers. Another problem of market experts and designers is translation from the "language" of customers to the "language" of quality characteristics. This problem is solved by using quality matrixes called the "house of quality" by Japanese. The "house of quality" is very appropriate and clear form of concise presenting of numerous data which refer to quality analysis, planning and decision making. Basically speaking the method of quality function deployment serves to improve customers' satisfaction with the product quality. What can this method contribute in comparison with already achieved results by using traditional methods in quality improvement? In this way the enterprise gets connected with its customers, and within the enterprise itself communication among different departments is improved so the new product has real chances to satisfy demands and needs of the customers. Taking into account that method of quality function deployment uses customers' demands as input data it means that the enterprise understands customers better and their understanding of product quality. Thus, even in the phase of planning, awareness of what should be done is raised in order to increase the degree of customers' satisfaction. Four-stage quality function deployment process in the automotive industry implemented and presented in the paper. A car represents a very complex product. A great number of parts, diversity of applicable materials, numerous and complex technology processes in manufacturing, on the one side, as well as a lot of demands from developed and less developed markets, on the other hand, make car manufacturing very complex in production, economic, and technological sense. Quality Function Deployment method can be used at designing of a new car, but also at solving of some of the existing problems. When carrying out reliability testing we came to the opening of the engine lid during driving the tested car. Taking into account that it was nonconformity which endangers traffic safety, the analysis of the stated problem was carried outimmediately.

The development of the culinary business in Indonesia is currently quite rapid. One effort that can be done in the face of fierce product competition is through packaging design. The packaging used to package is not attractive because it is in the form of packaging with ordinary Styrofoam (PS or Polystyrene). Besides, the packaging is easily damaged in the lock and cannot be tightly closed, making it difficult for consumers when they want to consume porridge while on the way and do not have a clear identity to represent the brand of Kabayan Chicken Porridge. This study aims to provide recommendations for designing Kabayan Chicken Porridge packaging using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. Data processing uses the product planning stage by preparing the House of Quality (HOQ) and the design deployment stage. After processing the data in the two stages of Quality Function Deployment (QFD), 24 critical parts were used as a reference in the design of Kabayan Chicken Porridge Take Away packaging. The recommended recommendations are paper bowl packaging which is waterproof, easily distributed, uses attractive fonts, uses attractive colors and does not conflict with product characteristics, uses easy-to-open and closed lid covers, displays product photos, displays manufacturer information, and displays the logo.
