Multidisciplinary studies showed that when the human body is electrically in contact with the Earth (earthing or grounding), it produces intriguing consequences on the physiology and health of the human being. These effects are related to treating acute and chronic inflammatory and autoimmune illnesses, immunological responses, wound treatment, and prevention. At the same time, acupuncture in Traditional Medicine has been widely utilized for its low side effects and therapeutic effectiveness as primary therapeutic therapy. However, the electrical reaction to acupuncture stimulation has not been investigated in conditions with acupuncture that could alter acupuncture therapeutic effectiveness. The study's objective is to inform scientists of the apparent innovative approach to inflammation studies; and alert researchers to the importance of the duration and the degree of grounding, which may affect the results of inflammation, injury, and tumorigenesis studies. Grounding with acupuncture decreases pain and changes the quantity of circulating neutrophils and lymphocytes and circulating chemical substances linked to inflammation. This work reviews the potential of acupuncture with earthing as an easy and readily accessible worldwide modality of substantial clinical importance is reviewed in this work.

Abstract. The prevalence of coccidiosis diseases of various animal species has a global scale, so this problem has attracted the attention of veterinary specialists around the world. The purpose of this study was to study the specific features of the species composition and laboratory diagnostics of eimeriosis in young ruminants and to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and prevention when using drugs from different groups. The material for the study was goats and calves. The research was carried out on the basis of two farms of the same agricultural holding in the Sverdlovsk region. Diagnostics was performed based on clinical and laboratory studies. Results of the study. The main pathogens in the goat breeding complex in goats of different ages were identified: the main causative agent of coccidiosis in 120-day-old goats was Eimeria arloingi, which accounted for 54 % of all detected oocysts in the samples. Eimeriosis occurred as a mixed invasion of Eimeria arloingi with Eimeria ninaekohlyakimovae (33 %) and Eimeria intracata (13 %). Eimeria arloingi (68 %), in 21-days-old goats – Eimeria ninaekohlyakimovae (32 %). Eimeriosis caused by Eimeria bovis was detected in 30-days-old calves (100 %). The article describes the results of using various anticoccidial drugs in the treatment and prevention of eimeriosis. A comparative evaluation of the therapeutic effectiveness of known coccidiostatics is given. The economic efficiency of different groups of drugs was evaluated. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the morphological and quantitative assessment of parasitocenoses in eimeriosis in young ruminants was carried out. A comparative evaluation of the effectiveness of various traditional remedies and a new drug for the treatment of eimeriosis in calves and goats was carried out. Conclusion. Not all of the drugs used have the same therapeutic effectiveness both in terms of treatment time and the quality of elimination of the etiological factor.

Background and objectives: Total parenteral nutrition (TPN) has great clinical importance in malnutrition treatment and prevention in patients with digestive problems. Although good practices for handling TPN are well established, contamination of these products still occurs, and this product remains listed as a higher risk drug by the Institute for Safe Medication Practices. The present study aimed to obtain an overview of the documentary data of the parenteral nutrition samples sent to the National Institute for Quality Control in Health (INCQS) of Fundação Oswaldo Cruz. Methods: This is a qualitative descriptive and quantitative study carried out based on a cross-section of TPN samples analyzed from 2000 to 2016. Results: A total of TPN 134 samples were sent during the study period. 11.20% of the samples were sent in 2001, 0.80% in 2005, 8.20% in 2006, 16.40% in 2007, 63.40% in 2013. Six samples (4.5%) were canceled and 113 submitted to sterility testing, resulting in 13.3% unsatisfactory samples. Conclusion: During the study period, four suspected events of enterobacterial contamination in TPNs administered to patients were reported, three of which have not yet been described in the scientific literature. For the safety of patients using TPN to be guaranteed, it is suggested that the norms that regulate TPN therapy be reviewed and updated, and programs to monitor the quality of these preparations should be established.

Fresh fruit juices contain organic acids and mineral substances (potassium, calcium, iron, copper, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, molybdenum, boron, iodine), and their salts, large amounts of fiber, pectin and enzymes - complex substances, that contribute to the food processing and absorption of nutritional elements. Natural citrus juices contain essential vitamins and nutrients for the human body. Therefore, they represent a good opportunity for the treatment and prevention of various diseases. With the vitamins, taken through the juice, the human body becomes more resistant to viruses and infections, stressful situations and intense physical stress, and the body’s metabolism becomes normalized. Beverages, prepared from juices improve intestinal motility and thus contribute to improving the allocation of toxic substances and slags from the organism. The purpose of this work is the development of technological parameters of the ultrafiltration process to obtain natural juices which are sterile, resistant to precipitation and turbidity, and have a long shelf life. This paper examines the performance of the ultrafiltration process of citrus juices (lemon, tangerine, orange) and its dependence on the pressure and duration of the process, type and porosity of the membrane, the nature of the juice, and acidity. The juice composition was studied before and after ultrafiltration. It was established, that the productivity of the ultrafiltration process depends on: the duration of the process and this dependence is determined by the nature of the process: membrane type, in particular, filtration material and pressure: with an increase in membrane porosity and pressure, the productivity of the process, the volume of filtered juice, filtering speed and duration increases; the productivity of the ultrafiltration process, during the filtration both in dynamic and static mode, depends on the type and consistency of the juice: it increases with the increase of juice acidity. It was established: the general acidity (1.17%), density (1.038 g/cm3), the content of dry substances (9.9%), sugars (7.8%), including invert (7.2%), ash ( 0.26%), and vitamin C ( 20mg/ 100gr.), do not change in the course of ultrafiltration of tangerine juice. The viscosity, the content of carotenoids, cellulose and pectin decreases. The amino-acid structure practically does not change; hollow fibers detain only 6 - 8% of proteins and amino acids. For obtaining high-quality citrus juices, ultrafiltration should be carried out at a pressure 0.2MPa, on hollow fiber, in a dynamic, circulating mode. The juices obtained by ultrafiltration on hollow fibers (AP-2.0) are sterile, resistant to precipitation and turbidity, have significantly increased shelf lives, and they retain their organoleptic properties and nutritional values.

Measured propagation loss for capacitive body-coupled communication (BCC) channel (1 MHz to 60 MHz) is limitedly available in the literature for distances longer than 50 cm. This is either because of experimental complexity to isolate the earth-ground or design complexity in realizing a reliable communication link to assess the performance limitations of capacitive BCC channel. Therefore, an alternate efficient full-wave electromagnetic (EM) simulation approach is presented to realistically analyze capacitive BCC, that is, the interaction of capacitive coupler, the human body, and the environment all together. The presented simulation approach is first evaluated for numerical/human body variation uncertainties and then validated with measurement results from literature, followed by the analysis of capacitive BCC channel for twenty different scenarios. The simulation results show that the vertical coupler configuration is less susceptible to physiological variations of underlying tissues compared to the horizontal coupler configuration. The propagation loss is less for arm positions when they are not touching the torso region irrespective of the communication distance. The propagation loss has also been explained for complex scenarios formed by the ground-plane and the material structures (metals or dielectrics) with the human body. The estimated propagation loss has been used to investigate the link-budget requirement for designing capacitive BCC system in CMOS sub-micron technologies.

Braces as foreign bodies in the mouth carry a risk of side effects and toxicity to the human body. This article presents the results indicating the possible toxic effects of tools used for cleaning the enamel after the completion of orthodontic treatment. The studies were carried outin vitro. The procedure of enamel etching, bonding orthodontic metal brackets, and enamel cleaning after their removal was performed under laboratory conditions. The enamel microstructure and elements present on its surface were evaluated using the scanning electron microscope (SEM). Silicon and aluminium were found in addition to the tooth building elements.

THE CALL OF NOTHINGNESS : CLAUDE SIMON AND A TELLURIC TYPE OF DEATHThe article proposes the analysis of different types of agony suffered by living beings as a re­sult of contact with the element of Earth. The study is based on a corpus composed of seven novels by Claude Simon written after 1957, in a period of his fascination with formal experiments, and pu­blished by the Éditions de Minuit. The paper focuses on the representation of human body exposed to an evil influence of the Earth as element. Earth is considered as an anti-maternal force and a major destructive agent in Simon’s universe. The reflections on the telluric character of death are inspired, among others, by Gaston Bachelard’s thematic criticism and his conception of the four elements.
