The lack of self-directed learning of students shown by students is one problem associated with self-efficacy and the learning environment. The purpose of the research is to reveal the relationship between self-efficacy and the learning environment, and self-directed learning. This study uses the correlational method and data collected from a sample of 198 students, which were found using proportional random sampling techniques. Data were collected using a self efficacy scale (24 valid items = 0.851), a learning environment scale (32 valid items = 0.830), and a self-directed learning scale (64 valid items = 0.936). Data were then analyzed using multiple regression. The results showed the correlation coefficient r = 0.535 and p = 0.00 (p> 0.05), which showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and the learning environment together with self-directed learning. So it can be explained that the higher the self-efficacy and learning environment, the higher the student's self-directed learning.

AbstractAn increasing number of German schools have suspended teacher-directed learning (TL) in favor of self-directed learning (SL) modules. We used the broaden-and-build theory and self-determination theory as a theoretical framework to determine whether students in self-directed and teacher-directed learning environments differ in the interplay of positive emotions and learning strategies of students in secondary education. The study also compares the mediating role of autonomy support on the relationship between positive emotions and learning strategies. Questionnaire data from 787 German secondary school students in the sixth and seventh grades were analyzed. The results of the latent mean comparison indicated that students in the self-directed learning environment demonstrated more adaptive learning behaviors. Further, a multigroup structural equation model identified strong differences in the interplay of the variables between students in the self-directed and teacher-directed learning environments. In the teacher-directed learning environment, autonomy support was not found to mediate the relationship between positive emotions and learning strategies.

The purpose of this research is to know the relation between gratitude and social support with the stress of parents who have children in need special. Through random sampling techniques, acquired the subject 30 parents who have children in need specially in Surabaya. This research is the gauge scale gratitude scale, stress and social support scale. Research data were analyzed with regression shows double F = 4.750 and sig = 0.01 means there is a significant relationship between social support and gratitude with the stress of parents who have children in need special. The results of the R square = 0.260 meaning stress parents who have children in need special can be explained by the gratitude and social support of 26%. Next partially gratitude does not correlate with the stress parents of children in need special (partial r = 0.001 with sig = 0.998), and social support proved to be significantly correlated negatively with the stress parents of children in need of special r partial =-0.480 with sig = 0.008

Abstract Backgroundwe combined anatomy with imaging, transformed the 2D information of various imaging techniques into 3D information, and form the assessment system of real medical imaging cases in order to make up for the deficiencies in the current teaching of the medical imaging technology students. MethodsA total of 460 medical imaging students were selected and randomly divided into two groups. The research group received the teaching of the fusion of the original CT and MR data 3D model and the original image combined with 3D anatomical image. Statistical analysis Academic self-efficacy scale and Self-directed learning ability scale was adopted by self-directed learning evaluation scale between two groups.ResultsCompare the theoretical scores and case analysis scores of the two groups. The scores of the study and control groups were significantly higher than those of the control group. Before the experiment, no significant difference was detected in the self-efficacy of learning ability and learning behavior between the two groups , while after the experiment, these differences between the two groups were statistically significan. Moreover, the learning ability self-efficacy and learning behavior of the two groups of students after the experiment was significantly higher than that before the experiment. The self-efficacy of the learning behavior of the control group was higher after the experiment than that before the experiment, albeit the difference was not statistically significant . ConclusionsThe modern, information-based and humanized experimental teaching mode will be constantly improved under the support of PACS system in order to optimize the medical imaging teaching activities for the development of modern medical education.

The purpose of this chapter is to provide information about the use of caring and trust within the undergraduate classroom as it may apply to self-directed learning. Some evidence of the relationship between caring and trust is provided through a recent study by the author. Malcolm S. Knowles' Designs for Adult Learning demonstrates the use of both caring and trust within the self-directed learning framework. The method used by Knowles takes a caring approach to student learning that is based in trust between the educator and student.

Aims: The absence of data complementing independent learning, which is vital in the pandemic-induced distance learning, propelled the conduct of study. The study aimed to assess Self-Directed Learning, Self-Efficacy in Learning, and Academic Motivation of Public Senior High School Students, and investigated what demographic variable may influence each. It also sought to determine the correlation between the constructs. Methodology: The study utilized descriptive and correlational design. Respondents were the 332 Grade-12 students from the Schools Division of Cadiz City, School Year 2020-2021, determined using multi-stage random sampling. Data were generated using the Self-Directed Learning Inventory, Self-Efficacy in Learning Form, and Academic Motivation Scale – High School Version. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, chi-square test of association, and Spearman rho rank correlation. Results: There was no significant relationship between demographics and Self-Directed Learning, likewise with Academic Motivation. There was no significant relationship between sex and Self-Efficacy in Learning, however the latter had a significant relationship with family income (P=.05) and track (P=.03). There was a significant relationship between self-directed learning and self-efficacy in learning (P=.000), and between self-directed learning and academic motivation (P=.000). Conclusion: Student demographics do not influence their disposition to engage in learning activities and with their perceived reasons to participate in it. Family income, together with the track where they belong, may influence their belief in their innate capabilities. Students who are internally driven to learn, and who have strong belief in their capabilities, will find all means to master competence on academics, even without the help of other people.

The aim of this study was to examine the impact of self-directed learning readiness on critical thinking and general self-efficacy among the students of the School of Physical Education and Sports. In line with this aim, the research sample consisted of 419 students who were randomly selected from the School of Physical Education and Sports in Erciyes University. To collect data, the study used Self-Directed Learning Readiness Scale, Critical Thinking Scale, General Self-Efficacy Scale and 'Personal Information Form' created by the researcher. The data obtained through the Personal Information Form was statistically analyzed using SPSS 20.0 package program. The candidates' personal information and inventory total scores and factor points were presented by calculating frequency (f) and percentage (%) values. Pearson Moment Correlation Coefficient analysis (r) was performed to indicate the relationship between the points obtained from the scales while multiple regression analysis was performed to identify whether the points are predictor of each other. (β)The study found a positive significant relationship between self-directed learning readiness and critical thinking. A positive significant relationship was also found between self-directed learning readiness and general self-efficacy. Finally, there was a positive high relationship between general self-efficacy and critical thinking. The results of the study suggest that self-directed learning readiness affects critical thinking and general self-efficacy characteristics as it influences other aspects related to education. Self-directed learning readiness predicts critical thinking and general self-efficacy by 50.5%. Hence, authentic environments should be created to improve students' self-directed learning readiness when preparing education and training programs especially as a significant aspect of modern education systems in today's world.

ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the low self-confidence development of children aged 6-7 years in Anak Air, Batipuh Panjang Village, Padang City. It is suspected that the cause of the child's low self-confidence is partly due to the inappropriate application of parenting methods. This study aims to: 1) describe the parenting methods applied by parents to children; 2) describes the self-confidence of children aged 6-7 years; and 3) looking at the relationship between parenting methods and the self-confidence of children aged 6-7 years in Anak Air, Batipuh Panjang Village, Padang City. This research is a correlational quantitative research. The population in this study were children aged 6-7 years and their mothers as many as 50 people with a sample of 75%, namely 38 people with simple random sampling technique. The data technique used a questionnaire and a check for the observation of children's self-confidence development, the data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis and formula-data-moment.The results of this study indicate: 1) the parenting methods applied by parents to children aged 6-7 years are still inaccurate and inconsistent; 2) the development of self-confidence of children aged 6-7 years is still low; and 3) there is a significant relationship between parenting methods and the development of self-confidence of children aged 6-7 years in Anak Air, Batipuh Panjang Village, Padang City. Research suggestions are: 1) it is hoped that parents in Anak Air Kelurahan Batipuh Panjang Padang City can pay attention to and apply the application of parenting methods to children so that they can contribute to the development of children's self-confidence as expected; and 2) it is hoped that further researchers can find or examine other variables that affect the development of children's self-confidence. Keywords: self-confidence, parenting methods, family education
