The research objective was to describe the communication and collaboration skills of high school students in learning acid-base titration with guided inquiry and problem-based models. This type of research is library research with descriptive analysis. Secondary data used are literature in the form of books, journals and assessment rubrics. The data collection method is a documentation method with Miles and Huberman data analysis. Based on the results of the literature review, it was found that students communication and collaboration skills in learning acid-base titration with guided inquiry and problem-based models occurred at each stage. Acid-base titration learning activities using guided and problem-based inquiry models train communication skills when discussing, asking, answering oral and written questions and collaborating when working together in class or in the laboratory.

This reseach aims to develop a physics learning material based on guided inquiry to facilate the students’ science process skills are valid, practical and effective. Learning material was developed using 3-D models (define, design, develop) were tested using a one group pretest-posttest design. Learning material was tryouted class VII SMPN 1 Muara Jawa in academic year 2014/2015. The data collection through observation, tests and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques use qualitative analysis and descriptive analysis of quantitative. The results obtained demonstrate the validity of the learning material that includes lesson plans, worksheets, textbooks and  students the knowledge and skills assessment sheet of a valid category. Practicality implementation of learning material that includes lesson plans and students’ activities of a good category. The learning material developed is effective in terms of achievement learning indicators and learning outcomes of individual completeness increases, the positive students’ response to learning. Based on these results, it can be conclude that the physics learning material based on guided inquiry are valid, practical and effective for use in teaching and learning and can to facilate the science process skills in junior high school students’. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika SMP berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Perangkat pembelajaran dikembangkan menggunakan model 3-D (define, design, develop) yang diujicobakan menggunakan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Uji coba perangkat pembelajaran dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Muara Jawa tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara analisis kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan validitas perangkat yang meliputi RPP, LKS, Buku ajar siswa dan Lembar Penilaian pengetahuan serta keterampilan berkategori valid. Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran yang meliputi keterlaksanaan RPP dan aktivitas siswa berkategori baik. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah efektif ditinjau dari ketercapaian indikator pembelajaran serta ketuntasan hasil belajar individual yang meningkat, respon siswa positif terhadap pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang dikembangkan berkategori valid, praktis dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam proses belajar mengajar serta dapat melatihkan keterampilan proses sains kepada siswa SMP.

The objective of the research is to develop a class xi chemistry instructional medium the topic of acid-base titration with the orientation of improving the students skill of scientific process in the laboratory. The research is a developmental research and the model used is ADDIE, which stand for Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. Having been validated by some assessors and teachers, the medium developed proves adequate and can be implemented among class xi high school students. The result of the reaserch show that the student respon well to the implementation of the medium. The medium can be  used by student with various capabilities : however, among weak students  teacher’s guidance is needed.

Penelitian ini memiliki beberapa tujuan yaitu mengidentifikasi model implementasi program Community Development bidang pendidikan yang dilakukan PT Badak  NGL dan mengidentifikasi dampak implementasi program Community Development bidang pendidikan tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah primer dan sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program Community Development  bidang pendidikan yang dilakukan oleh PT Badak NGL adalah pemberian beasiswa penuh untuk siswa SMP, SMA, dan Perguruan Tinggi serta beasiswa untuk mahasiswa LNG Academy; peduli pendidikan di daerah terisolir dengan membuat boarding community untuk siswa dari daerah terisolir agar dapat mengikuti Ujian Akhir Nasional; dan program peningkatan kualitas guru dengan memberikan pelatihan kepada guru. Program-program tersebut dilaksanakan oleh PT Badak NGL sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab dan  peran serta PT Badak NGL mewujudkan masyarakat yang berdaya, mengurangi tingkat kemiskinan, dan turut dalam proses pembangunan yang berkelanjutan. This research aims to determine the implementation of Community Development education model conducted by PT Badak NGL, and to identified Community Development program implementation effect in education sector. The research type is qualitative research with descriptive analysis methods with data sources of primary and secondary data. The research results indicate that Community Development education program given by PT Badak NGL is a full scholarship awarding scholarships for junior high school students, high schools and universities as well as scholarships for students of the Academy of LNG; care about education in remote areas by creating a community for boarding students from remote areas in order to follow the National Exam; and programs to improve the quality of teachers by providing training to teachers. The programs were implemented by PT Badak NGL as a form of responsibility of PT Badak NGL in the role of PT Badak NGL realize empowered community, reduce poverty and contribute in the process of sustainable development.

Aim of this research is to investigate different impact of Process-Oriented Guided-Inquiry Learning (POGIL) and verification as learning approach at senior high school students’ metacognitive knowledge grade XI program IPA on acid-base topic. Research design used was quasi experimental. Hypothesis testing uses t-test with 5% (0,05) significance utilizing SPSS 21 application. Results show that (1) there is significance difference of students’ metacognitive knowledge that is taught by POGIL approach and verification, and (2) students that are taught by POGIL approach give better answer’s pattern of declarative, procedural, and conditional knowledge than students that are taught by verification approach.

[THE EFFECT OF PROCESS-ORIENTED GUIDED-INQUIRY LEARNING (POGIL) TOWARD STUDENTS’ PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS]. The aim of this research is to investigate the different impacts of Process-Oriented Guided-Inquiry Learning (POGIL) and verification as a learning approach at senior high school students’ problem solving ability grade XI program IPA on acid-base topic. The research design used was quasi experimental. Hypothesis testing uses a t-test with 5% significance utilizing SPSS 21 program for windows. Results show that (1) there is a significant difference in students’ problem solving ability that is taught by POGIL approach and verification, and (2) students that are taught by POGIL approach give better answer’s pattern than students that are taught by verification approach. According to the research result, POGIL could be well promoted learning model to developing problem solving skill on acid-base topics. This result does imply to the next similar research that appropriate exploration of problem solving ability on another contextual chemistry topic such as rate of reaction, chemical equilibrium, and colligative properties. Exploration about metacognition involvement on POGIL also the other implication of this research result that can be deeply analyzed.

The purpose of this study is to get an overview of the Science Process Skills of students in learning using the Guided Inquiry-based Colloidal System module. The type of research used is library research with descriptive analysis. The data used in this study are secondary data, i.e. scientific journals which are in the form of articles. The data collection method is in the form of a documentation method with data analysis techniques, namely content analysis. Based on the results of a journal review that has been done, it is obtained that the use of the Guided Inquiry-Based Colloidal System module in learning especially in practical activities can bring up the Science Process Skills of students well. Each Science Process Skill indicator appears with different percentages in either category.

This research aimed to produce learning science materials using guided inquiry model with the ARCS motivational strategies that  feasible  to  improve  students’ learning  achievement.  The  development of learning materials used 4D model design and it was tested in the VII grade of SMPN 17 Kendari, even semester in academic year of 2014/2015 with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data collections used validation, observation, test, and quetionnaires methods. The data analysis techniques used qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this research showed: 1) the developed teaching and learning materials were valid with good category; 2) learning implementation was conducted; 3) students’ motivation after conducting the learning has a good category and 4) students’ learning achievement has increased with high category gain score. Based on the results, it could be concluded that the guided inquiry learning models that integrate the ARCS motivational strategies were feasible to improve the learning achievement of junior high school students. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA model inkuiri terbimbing dengan  strategi  motivasi  ARCS  yang  layak  untuk  meningkatkan hasil  belajar  siswa.  Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran mengikuti rancangan model 4-D dan diujicobakan di kelas VII SMPN 17 Kendari semester genap tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode validasi, observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: 1) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan valid; 2) Semua rencana pembelajaran terlaksana dengan kategori baik; 3) motivasi siswa dengan kategori baik terhadap pembelajaran; 4)  hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan skor N-gain berkategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran model inkuiri terbimbing dengan strategi motivasi ARCS yang dikembangkan layak untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMP.

This study aims to determine the ability of creative thinking high school students in physics learning, know the form of assessment of creative thinking abilities. The study was conducted at SMAN 6 Yogyakrata. This type of research is a survey with a cross-sectional method that is a survey conducted once and at a time. The subjects were the principals, teachers of physics from SMAN 6 Yogyakrata and 30 grade XI students. observations, interviews, and questionnaires were used as data collection techniques. The data analysis method used was the quantitative-qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the creative thinking ability of class XI MIA 1 students at SMAN 6 Yogyakarta can be said to be in the average and quite good category, although there are some students whose level of creative thinking ability is low. In addition, the form of assessment used by physics teachers has not been effective and accurate enough in assessing students 'creative thinking abilities. So it is recommended to use The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) in physics learning because it has been proven to be accurate in assessing students' creative thinking abilities.
