This research is purposed to formulate model of slum settlement policy in Nusa Tenggara Barat Province. Method used in this study is mixed method with data collection method is Purposive Sampling and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Study discussion is resulting in alternative policy of settlement policy in Nusa Tenggara Barat Province, Indonesia that is: (1) demolition of slum area; (2) opening job vacancy; (3) providing low-cost housing; (4) providing loans from banks; and (5) flats. From these alternative policies, it is aimed to raise standard of living in Nusa Tenggara Barat province, especially in the area of study and eliminating slums area to achieve the correct urban planning.

Natural fibres with variable properties are found in many engineering applications because of its low cost and biodegradability .The selection of suitable fibres involves the evaluation of a number of alternatives based on certain criteria. The purpose of this study is to suggest the use of analytical hierarchy process (AHP) in the selection of natural fibres for hybrid laminated composites. It was found that the most suitable natural fibre to be used with Kevlar 29 in hybrid laminated composites is kenaf fibre. It is expected that this finding will significantly contribute to the development of hybrid laminated composites for vehicle ballistic protection.

<p>One of the most important elements for the company is to introduce their products (services) to prospective customers. Hypnosis For Healing is a company engaged in services. One key to the success of this company especially to attract clients is through the promotion of this company so that it is known by many more people. It requires the selection of appropriate media in accordance with the consideration of criteria such as low cost, wide coverage. These service companies require appropriate promotional media. This study aims to find a suitable promotional media on HFH company. The research was conducted in the end of 2010. The analytical tool used is Analytical /various alternatives based on several criteria. AbstractThis article discusses two methods to measure the concept of local competitiveness: Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The goal of this analysis is to determine whether these two methods used in social sciences research lead to comparable model results. By non-parametric tests we show that there is a significant correlation between the PCA and AHP local competitiveness indexes. Thereafter, a developed mixed method examination of whether the methods can be used interchangeably is presented and illustrated with detailed examples of two mixed approaches. The mixed method confirms the correlation between the PCA and AHP models. However, the mixed modelling results indicate the utility of the PCA in the situation of a multicriteria local competitiveness data examination.

This paper provides an overview of multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) applications in managing water-related disasters (WRD). Although MCDA has been widely used in managing natural disasters, it appears that no literature review has been conducted on the applications of MCDA in the disaster management phases of mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. Therefore, this paper fills this gap by providing a bibliometric analysis of MCDA applications in managing flood and drought events. Out of 818 articles retrieved from scientific databases, 149 articles were shortlisted and analyzed using a Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) approach. The results show a significant growth in MCDA applications in the last five years, especially in managing flood events. Most articles focused on the mitigation phase of DMP, while other phases of preparedness, response, and recovery remained understudied. The analytical hierarchy process (AHP) was the most common MCDA technique used, followed by mixed-method techniques and TOPSIS. The article concludes the discussion by identifying a number of opportunities for future research in the use of MCDA for managing water-related disasters.

The purpose of this study is to determine the behavior of society and other parties in managing forests and land as well as to formulate strategies to prevent forest and land fire in Belitung Islands Belitung province. This study uses a mixed method by combining descriptive method which is supported by AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). From the analysis that has been done, there are five policy priorities that can be applied as the policy strategies to prevent both forest and land fires in Belitung Regency, namely: 1) imposition of discipline the use of fire for land expansion, 2) Tightening surveillance, patrols and surveillance in vulnerable forest burning, 3) Socialization and elucidation to the society about the dangers of forest and land fires, 4) Develop training patterns of forest and land fire prevention, 5) Establish prone areas to fire.

Low costing flats are subsidized by the local government, but until now, there are still many flats that do not have a good system to manage the facility. The obstacle faced by the current management is that there is no system that can give priority scale there is no system that can provide a fast and precise priority scale to determine facilities that need to be repaired immediately by the management based on the availability resource so fast which facilities need to be repaired as soon as possible. Such as determining the priority of repairs among damaged public toilets or repairing damaged garden chairs. In this study, we propose the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to determine priority maintenance for facilities in low-cost flats. The results of calculations using SAW are evaluated by comparing the results of calculations using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The experimental results show that the ranking results using the SAW method are better than the results of ranking using the AHP, furthermore using SAW is also more efficient because the complexity required in the calculation is simpler.

The high public interest in the ownership of decent and cheap housing, so fertile the business of Kredit Perumahan Rakyat (KPR). The rapid growth of housing-based mortgages due to the subsidy from the government so that people have the ease of a minimum of the price. Even sometimes found housing developers who offer low-cost advance materials until no down payment. As a result, the quality of buildings, facilities, and legality rumahpun sidelined. This will obviously harm society in the future. Therefore, the community must have the ability in determining the KPR which with various criteria that will be able to prevent society from loss. This study aims to analyze the factors of priority in the selection of housing KPR. This method is done through the application of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Based on the results of the calculation analysis that has been done, then sequentially the criteria that the highest priority is the criteria of Building Quality, House Price, Advances, Location, Licensing, and Facilities.
