The results of this research are first, the early childhood book Tales Collection: Privilege of Animal presents five reinforcement of character education, namely religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation, and integrity characters. Each of these characters is presented in fairy tales in the book, represented by animal figures which are be the main characters in storytelling. The five strengthening of this character education is presented in interesting fairy tales from the aspects of narration, content, and illustrations which the impact makes children love with the fairy tales of this book. This feeling of love that makes the process of strengthening character education happen. Second, the strengthening of character education is formed through the love of early childhood with the tales in this book, so that young children are enthusiastic when reading this fairytale book. This enthusiasm makes early childhood love stories in the fairy tales. This fondness then makes young children understand the contents of fairy tales, which then conditions young children to reflect, that is connecting the contents of the story and the value of characters in fairy tales with the daily life of children. From this the children then strengthened the character education of religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation, and integrity in children. From here, the process of strengthening character education is formed and takes place with the media of early childhood Fairytale Book Collection: Privilege of Animals.

The background of the problem in this study is the ability to recognize Latin letters in early childhood in Raudhatul Atfhal Annajamissa'adah clay field and the teacher has not used an effective and efficient media in learning to recognize Latin letters. This study aims to process learning activities in the form of activities of teachers, students and parents in the ability to recognize Latin letters in early childhood in Raudhatul Atfhal Annajamissa'adah clay field through the process of learning the introduction of Latin letters in early childhood. The results showed that there were some weaknesses and strengths in learning Latin letters recognition. Because children lack enthusiasm in learning because the media conducted by teachers is less effective. Therefore there must be cooperation between parents of students and teachers so that students also study at home not only studying at Raudhatul Atfhal Annajamissa'adah clay field but at home must also be taught by parents so that the ability to recognize Latin letters can die. Because so far researchers see the lack of cooperation between teachers and parents in working together in educating young children in Raudhatul Atfhal Annajamissa'adah so the level of children's ability to recognize Latin letters is different.

Challenging behavior (CB) is a common occurrence in early childhood and frequently occurs in young children with disabilities. CB is also culturally perceived and includes differences in how caregivers understand and define the topography of CB. Despite the cultural interpretation, CB is known to impact the child and their family but there has been little exploration of what marginalized caregivers perceive as the impact of the CB that their young children with disabilities exhibit. We used semi-structured interviews to explore the perceptions of 24 caregivers, who identified as Black, Mexican American, and White, about the impact of their child’s CB. Caregivers shared how the CB impacted themselves, their families, their child, and others. Although much of the impact was similar among caregivers, we discuss nuanced differences across ethnic groups.

Th is paper analyzes the concept of media construction of reality and its impacton society. Recognizing the growing infl uence and importance of themedia in a man’s daily life, it can be said that the media and media cultureitself are an important factor in modern society. Th e media have the abilityto place information and to provide to the citizens-consumers to accept themwithout critical and conscious interpretation and real understanding. An importantfactor in the development of the media is and technological advancesthat contributed to the rapid spread of the media and gave more power to thepresentation of reality and the state of society as it corresponds to the creatorsand the “constructors” of that reality. By understanding Baudrillard and hisunderstanding of the simulation, we will present the impact and role of themedia in constructing the social reality (simulation of reality).

AbstractFunctional connectivity magnetic resonance imaging (FC-MRI) has been widely used to investigate neurodevelopment. However, FC-MRI is vulnerable to head motion, which is associated with age and distorts FC estimates. Numerous preprocessing strategies have been developed to mitigate confounds, each with advantages and drawbacks. Preprocessing strategies for FC-MRI have typically been validated and compared using resting state data from adults. However, FC-MRI in young children presents a unique challenge due to relatively high head motion and a growing use of passive viewing paradigms to mitigate motion. This highlights a need to compare processing choices in pediatric samples. To this end, we leveraged longitudinal, passive viewing fMRI data collected from 4 to 8-year-old children. We systematically investigated combinations of widely used and debated preprocessing strategies, namely global signal regression, volume censoring, ICA-AROMA, and bandpass filtering. We implemented commonly used metrics of noise removal (i.e. quality control-functional connectivity), metrics sensitive to individual differences (i.e. connectome fingerprinting), and, because data was collected during a passive viewing task, we also assessed the impact on stimulus-evoked responses (i.e. intersubject correlations; ISC). We found that the most efficacious pipeline included censoring, global signal regression, bandpass filtering, and head motion parameter regression. Despite the drawbacks of noise-mitigation steps, our findings show benefits for both noise removal and information retention in a high-motion early childhood sample.Highlights- We evaluated 27 preprocessing pipelines in passive viewing data from young children- Pipelines were evaluated on noise-removed and information retained- Pipelines that included censoring and GSR outperformed alternatives across benchmarks- For high-motion scans, preprocessing choices substantially alter connectomes

The media have become major players in the socialization of children in modern African societies. Television, in particular, and its related products are at the center stage of early childhood education. Due to the attractive nature of television, children get fascinated as early as 3 months old. Thus, television begins to influence children's learning processes from the cradle. However, there emerges a conflict between media reception and social realities around children, creating a learning dissonance in them. This chapter explores the learning dissonance in children and the impact this has on early childhood education in Nigeria, in particular. It also attempts suggestions on how the situation could be redressed to the advantage of children in their early education.
