Since the 16th century until the recent age, the study of exegesis is increasing significantly in Indonesia. This is marked by the spirit of producing commentaries from Indonesian scholars (pre-modern) such as works of Abd al-Raūf al-Sinkilī (Tarjumān al-Mustafīd), Syaikh Nawawī (Tafsir Marah Labīd) and Ahmad Sanusī (Tafsir al-Qurān al-Karīm), and modern era explicitly Quraish Shihab (Tafsir al-Misbah) and Didin Hafidhudddin (Tafsir al-Hijri). On the other hand, Quranic exegesis is magnetizing the modern society, academia, and the government. Two things are a sign that Indonesia necessitates developing new outlooks contained in the works of interpretation, so the view of Indonesian society to be more extensive and varied without being limited by one of his Indonesian commentators. Yunan Yusuf, one of the Indonesian Muslim philosopher, within Tafsir Khuluqun 'Adzīm endeavors coloring Indonesian elucidation by creating distinctive works that are an interpretation of the Koran from the short chapters (Madaniyah) to the extended chapters (Makiyah). This article discovers specifically the explanation of al-Mulk and depicts a qualitative method with the analytical comparative approach through the two references commentaries Indonesia Tafsir al-Azhar and al-Misbah. Yunan interprets the Koran critically and decisively with the color philosophy, and able to convey the message of the Qur'an through other verses in the Qur'an (munāsabah al-Qurān bi al-Qurān).

He is able to convey the message of the Qur'an by using the correlation of the Quran (munâsabah al-Qurân bi al-Qurân) either on his work title or his clarification content. This article concludes that the better sources is preferred the more authentic the exegesis is and the more dominant the type of commentaries is the more pattern work is.

One of the form of applying the value of democratic in Indonesia is accommodate by the regulation of community organization which is concretely regulated in the provisions of article 28 E Paragraph 3 of the 1945 constitution also in the provisions of law number 39 of 1999 on Human Rights. The existence of community organizations does have a great constribution in the implementation of the state, but on the other hand the existence of people raises the pro and contra. The enecment of government regulation number 59 on community organization established by foreign citizens makes the community more worried if the exixtance of community organizations affect the sovereignty of NKRI because they have different ideology with Indonesia. Based on this, it should be discussed about the organizations in Indonesia. The position of foreign social organizatios in Indonesia is reviwed from the government regulation number 59 of 2016 on community organizations established by foreign citizens and the influence of basic organizations for the sovereignty of NKRI. To answer that question, qualitative method is used  as a means to answer the problem by conducting of normative juridical approach which is done by reviewing the law and the literature. Based on this study, it is concluded that the existence of foreign social organizatios in Indonesia in line with  democracy and human right but also politically can treaten NKRI.

The purposes of this research was analyzing and describing about implementation of the rice for poor program in Kejapanan Village Gempol Subdistrict Pasuruan Regency as well as was identifing the obstacles of this program. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Collecting of data used observation, interview and documentation. Data analizing technique used descriptive qualitative. The results showed that as long as the implementation of rice program didn’t any evaluation from the citizen or subdistrict. It happened because the government Kejapanan village didn’t had an available legally action system for the villagers. On the other hand, monev team never checked the rice program and the officers of this program never did observation about it.Keywords: implementation, rice for poor program, monev

The development of science and technology can reduce the interest and learning of the Koran. An increasingly modern era gave birth to various gadgets in which there are exciting applications and games. Responding to the problem, the government of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia then made an application for the Ministry of Religion's Qur'an, that the Qur'an can now be studied not only through printing media but turned to applications that are more practical and easier for the community. On the other hand, the study of al-Qur'an in the gadget then leaves many problems dilemma around the sacredness of the Qur'an. with a descriptive analytical-writing method, it examines and explores the application of the Ministry of Religion's Qur'an from its development background, features, patterns of presentation of the Qur'an to its advantages and disadvantages. The number of Indonesian pilgrims every year is increasing. On the other hand, the allocation of the number of pilgrims to be dispatched is limited by the quota. This triggers the waiting list and the share of various hajj efforts despite the violation of the law. However, not pilgrims know that pilgrimage using other country’s passport is a violation of Law No. 12 of 2006 on Citizenship and possible losing of one's nationality. From historical perspective, Muslims’ pilgrim dated back from the 16th century. At that time, there was strong suspicion that upon returning from pilgrimage, Muslims tend to be “rebellious” and initiated movement against the Dutch colonial government. Thus, the Dutch made a strict regulation concerning the Hajj and scrutinized Muslims before pilgrimage, while staying in Mecca and after their return. Among the movement against the Dutch led by Muslim upon returning the Hajj was the Padri movement. Nowadays, the number of Muslims who intend to go Hajj is rising significantly, and the waiting list goes for 15 to 20 years. The long list caused some people to find a way to go for Hajj including manipulation of citizenship documents, such as using passport of other countries. In respond to this situation, the government tries to negotiate with the Saudi government to increase the Hajj quota for Indonesians. Another effort is borrowing the remaining quota of neighboring countries. There is also suggestion to close the Hajj registration for some time and the need to revise the Hajj Law.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji perbandingan kepercayaan masyarakat Talagadi Majalengka dan masyarakat Nagoya di Jepang. Kepercayaan yang dimaksud dalampenelitian ini adalah kepercayaan yang berhubungan dengan tabu atau pamali dankepercayaan yang berhubungan dengan keberuntungan pada kedua masyarakat tersebut.Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut digunakan metode deskripstif kualitatif. Dalam memupudata digunakan metode lapangan karena peneliti terjun langsung ke masyarakat. Disamping itu, digunakan pula metode survey melalui penyebaran daftar kuesioner. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk kepercayaan yang berhubungan dengan tabu ataupamali pada masyarakat Talaga dan Nagoya meliputi kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh manusia.Adapun kepercayaan yang berhubungan dengan keberuntungan pada kedua masyarakattersebut berkaitan dengan binatang, benda, dan kegiatan manusia. Sampai saat ini baikmasyarakat Talaga maupun Nagoya masih memegang teguh kepercayaan tersebut.Kata kunci: kepercayaan, Talaga, Nagoya, deskriptif kualitatif, komparasi budaya.AbstractThe aim of this research is to review the comparison of belief between the society ofTalaga in Majalengka and the society of Nagoya in Japan. The intended belief on this study isthe one related with a taboo or pamali, and the belief correlated to luck on both societies. Inachieving the goal, this research uses a descriptive qualitative method. To get the data, thewriter uses a field method that he (/she) directly involves with the people. On the other hand,the writer also uses a survey method by distributing questioners. The result shows that the beliefcorrelated with the taboo or pamali of Talaga and Nagoya societies covers the activities doneby human. Also with the belief related to luck of both societies corresponds to animals, things,and human’s activities. Until now, either Talaga society or Nagoya’s still keeps those beliefs.Keyword: belief, Talaga, Nagoya, descriptive qualitative, cultural comparison.

This research is aimed at studying the Hunto Sultan Amay Mosque located in Gorontalo City. Hunto Sultan Amay Mosque is the oldest mosque in the city of Gorontalo The Hunto Sultan Amay Mosque was built as proof of Sultan Amay's love for a daughter and is a representation of Islam in Gorontalo. Researchers will investigate the visual form of the Hunto Sultan Amay Mosque which was originally like an ancient mosque in the archipelago. can be seen from the shape of the roof which initially used an overlapping roof and then converted into a dome as well as mosques in the world, we can be sure the Hunto Sultan Amay Mosque uses a dome roof after the arrival of Dutch Colonial. The researcher used a qualitative method by observing the existing form in detail from the building of the mosque with an aesthetic approach, reviewing objects and selecting the selected ornament giving a classification of the shapes, so that the section became a reference for the author as research material. Based on the analysis of this thesis, the form  of the Hunto Sultan Amay mosque as well as the mosques located in the archipelago and the existence of ornaments in the Hunto Sultan Amay Mosque as a decorative structure support the grandeur of a mosque. On the other hand, Hunto Mosque ornaments reveal a teaching. The form of a teaching is manifested in the form of motives and does not depict living beings in a realist or naturalist manner. the decorative forms of the Hunto Sultan Sultan Mosque in general tend to lead to a form of flora, geometric ornaments, and ornament of calligraphy dominated by the distinctive colors of Islam, namely gold, white, red, yellow and green.

Little has been discussed in academia about the close relationship between the Renaissance of the 16th century and melancholy humor, and esoteric elements arising mainly from Florentine Neoplatonism. The link between melancholy and esotericism becomes very clear when we analyze the gravure “Melencolia I” by Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528), composed of a significant number of symbols that refer to an esoteric religious culture that then emerged. Renaissance melancholy gained several nuances. On the one hand, it was considered a sin, a despicable mood characteristic of witches; on the other hand, a deep sense of inspiration typical of men of “genius”. This ambivalence also occurred in the firmament, as the melancholic people were guided by the dark planet Saturn, according to astrological belief. We also have the cultural scenario of the 16th century, especially in Dürer's Germany, which contributed to strengthening the melancholy issues.

During the civil war, Liberia’s forestry sector rose to prominence as Charles Taylor traded timber for arms. When the war ended, the UN’s timber sanctions remained in effect, reinforced by the Forestry Development Authority’s (FDA) domestic ban on logging. As Liberians waited for UN timber sanctions to be lifted, a burgeoning domestic timber market developed. This demand was met by artisanal loggers, more commonly referred to as pit sawyers. Out of this illicit economy emerged the Nezoun Group to provide local dispute resolution between the FDA’s tax collectors and ex-combatant pit sawyers. The Nezoun Group posed a dilemma for the government. On the one hand, the regulatory efforts of the Nezoun Group helped the FDA to tax an activity that it had banned. On the other hand, the state’s inability to contain the operations of the Nezoun Group—in open contravention of Liberian laws—highlighted the government’s capacity problems.
