The sample was 50% of thetenth grade of Madrasah Aliyah Swasta PPM Babussalam in academic 2012/2013.60 students of the two classes were chosen as the representative of the population. They were divided into two groups. The first group (experimental group) wastaught by using Experience Text Relationship Method and the second group(control group) was taught by using conventional method. The tests consisted oftwo types; they are pre-test and post-test. The instrument of the data collectionwas multiple choices test consisting of 25 items. The data were analyzed by usingt- test formula. The result of the data analysis showed that t- observed was 5.35and t-table was 2.00 (p = 0.05). It means t-observed was higher than t-table (tobserved= 5.35 > t-table = 2.00 ; p = 0.05). It proved that there was a significanteffect of applying experience text relationship method on the students’ readingcomprehension.

The population of the research is XI students of SMA Swasta Dwi Tunggal Tanjung Morawa in 2018-2019 academic year. The sample consists of 60 students then divided into two groups, 30 students as experimental group and 30 students as control group. The experimental group is taught by applying roundtable technique and the control group without applying roundtable technique. The researcher uses writing test as instrument of the research. The test is answered by multiple choices and arranging sentences about simple present tense. The researcher analyzes the data by using the formula of t-test commonly used. After calculating and analyzing the data, it is concluded that tcalculate is higher than ttable (5,54 > 2,02). It showed that there is a significant difference. The pre test mean score of experimental is 57,16 and post test is 84,5, the difference is 27,34. The value ot tcalculate is bigger than ttable (5,54 > 2,02) degree of freedom is 58, and the level significance is 0,05. The result is that applying roundtable technique gives significant effect on students’ writing skill in arranging sentences simple presentt tense. So, It can concluded from t-test above that the hypothesis of this study is accepted.

This study deals with the effect of POW+TREE Strategy on students’ ability inwriting hortatory exposition text.. The problem of the study is to find out whetherPOW+TREE Strategy significantly affects students’ ability in writing hortatoryexposition text or not. This study was conducted by using experimental design. The population of the study was the students of eleventh grade of SMA Methodist8 Medan in the academic year 2015/2016, there were 3 parallel classes of gradeXI. There were two classes selected to be sample. The Experimental group (XIIPA-2) was taught by applying POW+TREE Strategy, while the Control group(XI IPA-3) was taught by applying conventional strategy. The data of the studywas obtained from the students’ scores of writing test. There were two kinds oftest used in this study. They were pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzedby applying t-test formula. After analyzing the data, the result of the study showedthat t-observed (2.338) was higher than t-table (1.994) (t-observed > t-table) at thelevel of significance of p=0.05 and the degree of freedom (df) = 68. It can beconcluded that applying POW+TREE strategy significantly affects students’ability in writing hortatory exposition text, or in other words, the null hypothesisis rejected , therefore the alternative hypothesis is accepted.

In this study the authors used the experimental method by trying out a treatment to find out how much influence it had on the object it was holding. The population used in this study was the Kampoeng students learning swimming clubs, amounting to 104 students, while the sample used was 28 people from students who were not proficient in backstroke swimming with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. From the calculation results it can be seen that the average difference between pre-test and post-test occurred significantly in the experimental group (stem buoy users) 34.00 while the average control group (back buoy user) 36.00 for backstroke swimming skills. Calculation results t comparison of the differences in the two learning outcomes 2.133 smaller than t Table 2.158. Thus we can reject the hypothesis (Ho), then it can be concluded that: Back buoy media is more influential on backstroke swimming skills compared to stem buoys

The study used a pre-test/post-test experimental and control group design. An experimental group and a control group were exposed to pre-post means of getting data (a pre-post reading comprehension test and pre-post writing test). Thirty four EFL majors at the College of Education and Arts, Northern Borders University, participated in this study. A 10-week program of interactional metadiscourse markers was developed and given to experimental group students. Results revealed a significant improvement in the reading comprehension of the experimental group students and in their reader-friendly writing.
