This paper contains a presentation about the curriculum in the development of Islamic religious education. The curriculum becomes very important in educational institutions because the curriculum is the "heart" of education. The curriculum is a set of tools to achieve goals, starting from planning, starting from initial planning, to planning, such as; strategic planning program planning, such as; Individual-based programs, module-based programs, competency-based or entrepreneurial-based programs. In the dimensions of Islamic religious education curriculum development, there are several matters such as theological foundation, philosophical foundation, social foundation, foundation of wisdom and foundation of Pancasila and technology foundation. While the principles in the development of the PAI curriculum are the principles of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability, approval and integration. Based on the concepts of educational curriculum development and curriculum development, the curriculum development after observing the characteristics of the Islamic education curriculum are the basis of curriculum development, the principles of curriculum development, then it must be in accordance with what will be done in curriculum development; Whether discussing fields of study, discussing between participants, discussing reconstructionism, discussing humanism, or accessing national development.

Islamic religious education curriculum must have a strong foundation in its development process. The foundation plays important role to maintain the curriculum. Therefore, the curriculum developers need to establish a firm foundation in curriculum development used in madrasahs. This paper employs descriptive-analysis method in finding the foundations of the curriculum. Result shows that there are seven basic foundations in developing the curriculum, theological foundation (religion), philosophical foundation, ideological foundation, psychological foundation, sociological foundation, science and technology foundation and organizational foundation. With those foundations, madrasahs now have the firm base to foundation in determining the direction for their institutions and remain upright from the onslaught of globalization. The foundations will at least make madrasahs future-oriented in the development of Islamic civilization both nationally and internationally.

ABSTRACT: This article aims to study the theoretical process of developing the Islamic Education Curriculum as well as to what extent is the curriculum with Islamic education in the process, while in the process it takes a long time to perfect the curriculum with Islamic religious education, while curriculum development is designed with ideas and programs, The idea is in the form of a document in the form of a syllabus, then with the process of development will be developed and socialization of the community and educational institutions. The process of this educational curriculum can be developed by designing, implementing, and perfecting the Islamic religious education curriculum. in the form of curriculum there are four dimensions, namely the idea of design, implementation, and the results are involved by extracurricular and curricular.

Globally, education is acknowledged as a critical engine for economic development. Nigeria is facing a lot of developmental challenges including a high rate of poverty and astronomical youth unemployment. Education has been advanced as one of the key strategies to address the challenges. The 9-Year Basic Education Curriculum (BEC) for Primary (elementary) and Junior Secondary Schools (JSS) in Nigeria was revised in response to the country’s need for relevant, dynamic, and globally competitive education that will ensure socio-economic and national development. This paper critically reviewed the adequacy of the revised 9-Year BEC. The review showed an improvement in the curriculum development process and in primary (elementary) and Junior Secondary School (JSS) curriculum contents over previous attempts of curriculum development in Nigeria. However, factors such as inadequate trained teachers, inappropriate pedagogy and poor learning environment pose threats to successful implementation of the revised 9-Year BEC. The implication for the field of curriculum development is that availability of adequate “quality teachers”, appropriate pedagogy and conducive school learning environment are of utmost importance in ensuring that a well-designed curriculum meets its objectives.

Abstrak: Artikel ini membahas relevansi pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam berbasis pengarusutamaan gender. Sesuai dengan Instruksi Presiden nomor 9 tahun 2000, sudah semestinya setiap lembaga pemerintah menerapkan pengarusutamaan gender sebagai landasan membuat kebijakan dalam pembangunan. Hal tersebut juga berlaku di lembaga pendidikan, di mana pengarusutamaan gender sudah harus diintegrasikan atau setidaknya berkorelasi dengan kurikulum pembelajaran. Salah satu mata pelajaran wajib yang perlu mengintegrasikan konsep kesetaraan gender dalam pembelajarannya adalah pendidikan agama islam, karena dalam banyak kasus menyebutkan pemahaman agama yang tidak sensitif gender seringkali membawa dampak sosial yang merugikan perempuan, menghadirkan stereotipe, diskriminasi, marginalisasi dan melanggengkan budaya patriarki di masyarakat. Jenis penelitian ini berbasis kepustakaan atau library research dengan metode deskriptif-analitis.  Adapun hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pengarusutamaan gender sangat urgen dimasukkan dalam kurikulum pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam karena terbukti membawa dampak signifikan dalam perubahan cara pandang pendidik dan peserta didik.Abstract: This article focuses on the relevance of learning Islamic religious education based on gender mainstreaming. In accordance with Presidential Instruction number 9 of 2000, every government agency should have implemented gender mainstreaming as a basis for making policies in development. This also applies in educational institutions, where gender mainstreaming must be integrated or at least correlated with the learning curriculum. One of the compulsory subjects that need to integrate the concept of gender equality in learning is Islamic religious education, because in many cases it is stated that the understanding of religion that is not gender sensitive often brings social impacts that are detrimental to women, presenting stereotypes, discrimination, marginalization and perpetuates a patriarchal culture in society. Sources of data were obtained from books and journal articles related to the research focus. The results show that gender mainstreaming is very urgent to be included in the Islamic religious education curriculum because it has been proven to have a significant impact in changing the perspectives. This study aims to analyze the concept of the scope of the curriculum of Christian Religious Education. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative approach to the study of literature. The results showed that the scope in formulating the Christian Religious Education curriculum considered elements of students, lecturers, educational institutions, institutional leaders, parents of students, churches and community. Understanding the curriculum concept is also an important part in formulating a Christian Religious Education curriculum. With the results of the study found a thesis that a correct understanding of the basic concept of the Christian Religious Education curriculum has a close relationship in the success of the curriculum development process and it’s implementation in the context of church service and in the context of general education in school. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa konsep ruang lingkup kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ruang lingkup dalam merumuskan kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Kristen mempertimbangkan unsur mahasiswa, dosen, lembaga pendidikan, pimpinan institusi, orangtua mahasiswa, gereja dan masyarakat. Pemahaman konsep kurikulum juga menjadi bagian penting dalam merumuskan kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Dengan hasil penelitian tersebut ditemukan tesis bahwa pemahaman yang benar terhadap konsep dasar kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Kristen memiliki relasi yang erat dalam keberhasilan proses pengembangan kurikulum dan pelaksanaannya dalam konteks pelayanan gereja maupun dalam konteks pendidikan umum di sekolah-sekolah.

Abstract: Islamic boarding schools in the village of Malang Ganjara n Gondanglegi are Islamic educational institutions with a Salaf Islamic curriculum so far believed to be a place of religious education, proven to be one of the places where preaching education still exists. However, curriculum development and evaluation i n this Islamic boarding school, there is still no data that can be ascertained, so it is interesting to study. So the researcher raised a title "development and evaluation of educational curricula in Malang Ganjaran Gondanglegi boarding school". Based on t he background of the problem stated above, the problem formulation can be taken, namely: 1) How is the development of the Islamic religious education curriculum in the Islamic boarding school of Ganjaran Gondanglegi village in Malang ?. 2) What is the eval uation of the Islamic religious education curriculum in the Islamic boarding school of Ganjaran Gondanglegi village in Malang ?. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews, participant observation and documentation. From the results of this study it was found that the development of the Islamic religious education curriculum in the Ganjaran village Islamic boarding school is by developing a curriculum plan with clear objectives, developing curriculum plans according to the characteristics of the santri, preparing the lesson schedule, determining the teaching materials to be taught, determining the material that must be read by santri, provide a source of teaching and learning processes, prepare prospective Islamic religious education teachers, and in the application of educational curriculum is strongly influenced by the ability of the teacher. The evaluation of the Islamic religious curriculum in the Ganjaran village boarding school was carried out twice in the development of its curriculum, using measurement instruments in the form of standard tests, teacher - made tests, oral tests, and questionnaires.

 Islamic religious education is one of the most important subject matter that must be obtained by every student in school, but in fact the implementation of Islamic religious education in Indonesia still gets a lot of criticism from various parties, these criticisms regarding the curriculum, learning methods and also to teachers Islamic religious education itself, on the other hand there is one non-formal institution called madrasa diniyah that specifically provides Islamic religious education to the community, this institution can also be integrated with various formal institutions under the umbrella of the education service. if the existence of madrasa diniyah can be utilized to the maximum, it is not impossible that various problems in Islamic religious education can be overcome. The purpose of this research is to examine the pilot school that integrates madrasa diniyah into basic educational institutions as an effort to strengthen the Islamic religious curriculum, namely SD Khazanah Ilmu. This research includes qualitative research, data collection is done by collecting documents, conducting interviews, and also observing at the research site, while the data analysis technique is done by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study state that the form of implementing madrasah diniyah as a curriculum for Islamic religious education curriculum in the elementary school of science is through several efforts, namely the formulation of the main objectives, the formulation of teaching materials, the system of teaching recruitment based on religious competence, the development of learning methods and techniques, and finally is to carry out routine evaluation programs both daily, weekly, monthly to yearly. All of these efforts are based on one main goal, namely the strengthening of Islamic religious education curriculum in SD Khazanah Ilmu.

Educational issues are never ending issues to be discussed because these issues concern on the matter of humans in giving the meaning and the direction to their existence. Education is a guidance conciously conducted by the educators toward physical and spiritual developments of the students in order to shape their personality. The shaping of personality is closely related to the role of religious education. Therefore, religious education has pivotal role in national education system. However, nowadays Islamic Education still faces various problems in more complex aspects, namely education dichotomy, curriculum, purposes, resources, and Islamic education management. The improvement efforts have not yet been conducted fundamentally. The efforts to update and upgrade Islamic education are often partial and not comprehensive; moreover, most systems and Islamic education institutions have not yet been managed professionally. Regarding the above problems, two approaches to overcome the weaknesses of Islamic religious education policy in schools are needed, namely the approach of policy advocacy and the approach of Islamic Religious Education curriculum development. Accordingly, Islamic Religious Education can be the basis in shaping personality of the graduates of Indonesia educational institutions in accordance with their adhered religion.

The Islamic Education curriculum is one of the important components to create a generation of morality and martyrs. But the Islamic Religious Education curriculum has been considered only to educate cognitive aspects (transfer of knowladge) and has not touched many affective and psychomotor aspects (transfer of value). This is evident from the many students who have not been able to apply knowledge about their religion such as not performing worship well, speaking harshly and disrespectfully, disrespecting parents and teachers and a group of students who are often in shopping centers and crowds. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an Islamic Education curriculum that accommodates cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects, so that education is not only a transfer of knowladge but also a transfer of value. Islamic Education curriculum development in this study contains the understanding of the expansion or improvement of the subject matter of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum and what is experienced by students or all efforts (engineering) programmed by Al Islam Azhar 36 Bandung in helping develop the potential of students through learning experience the potential to achieve the vision, mission, school goals.
