Two tests of creativity (complexity-simplicity preferences, and a true-false personality questionnaire), one test of intelligence (Stanford-Binet IQ) and one achievement test (Stanford Achievement Test, Advanced Battery Partial: KM-3) were administered to 62 high school students. Six 2 × 2 analyses of variance were computed for each achievement subtest, with high and low creativity and high and low IQ as independent variables. It was found that IQ was significant for 5 of the 6 subtests: paragraph meaning, word meaning, spelling, language, and arithmetic computation, while creativity was significantly related to scores on arithmetic reasoning. There were no significant IQ × creativity interactions, although low IQ-low creativity Ss had the lowest scores on all six subtests.

In their critique of the Test of Economic Literacy (TEL), Nelson and Sheffrin draw the conclusion that the TEL is an ideological test. In making their case, however, they neglect to cite the TEL Examiner's Manual by John Soper and myself (1987). In the 67 pages of that achievement test manual are the multiple choice questions, written rationales for the correct answers, explanations of the test development and structure, psychometric data, item analysis, and instructions on test administration and use. This information is necessary for anyone making a careful assessment of the test or using it with high school students. A brief description of the development and major features of the TEL is also necessary for analyzing the critics' complaints about TEL questions. The TEL is not perfect, but the charge that the TEL is an ideological test, however, is an extreme one and without foundation.

The aim of this study is to determine effects of the Project-Based (PBL) STEM (Science Technology, Engineering Mathematics) education on academic achievements and career interests of vocational high school students. Pretest-posttest design, one group of pre-trial model, was used in the study. The participants of the research consisted of 18 students in eleventh-grade at the furniture department of vocational high school. Quantitative data collection tools were used to gather the data for the study. “STEM Achievement Test” and “STEM Career Interest Scale” were applied to the students as pretest and posttest. The data obtained from the achievement test and carrier interest test were analyzed by using non-parametric Wilcoxon signed-rank test with SPSS 16.0 software. It was found at the end of the study that, students improved significantly their academic achievement in the furniture design course and developed career interests in a positive direction.

44 male university students were administered a 12-item true-false questionnaire to determine whether they conceptualized success and failure in terms of internal or external locus of control. They were also administered a measure of fear of failure (the Hostile Press measure). It was predicted that persons high on Hostile Press would be higher on external locus of control than the lows. The prediction was borne out. This study has been repeated twice, once with high school students, and the results have been equivalent.

The Zuckerman Kuhlman Personality Questionnaire (ZKPQ-50-CC) is widely used tool to measure personality traits among the test takers and has been translated in various languages. However, based on the literatures related to personality, it is apparent that there is no Mandarin translated ZKPQ is available to measure personality traits among Chinese population based on the Alternative Five Factor Model. Therefore, the aim of this study is to validate and explore the psychometric properties of the Mandarin-translated version of the Zuckerman Kuhlman Personality Questionnaire. A cross-sectional study was designed involving 250 Malaysian Chinese High school students, aged thirteen to eighteen. Forward-backward translations were performed followed by the factor analysis and reliability testing. The five factors structure was assessed and the factor loadings are similar with the Malay version of ZKPQ. This Mandarin translated ZKPQ comprised of 38 items with the factor loadings ranged from 0.41 to 0.79. The reliability values also showed that Mandarin translated ZKPQ is reliable. As such, the Mandarin translated ZKPQ was found to be valid and reliable to use among Mandarin speaking population for the purpose of personality testing and screening.

This study aims to determine the role of parental mediation and anonymity towards the tendency of cyberbullying behavior of high school students. This research needs to be done because the tendency of cyberbullying among students is increasing lately. In this study parental mediation and anonymity are predicted to have an influence on cyberbullying tendencies. Therefore the hypothesis in this study is the parental mediation and anonymity can predict cyberbullying tendencies of high school students. The subjects of the study were the XI grade students of state and private high schools in Yogyakarta, as many as 159 students, ranging in age between 15 to 19 years, the research subjects were obtained by purposive sampling. Three scales were used in this study, namely the parent mediation scale, the anonymity scale, and the cyberbullying scale. Data analysis uses multiple regression. The results showed that parental mediation and the perception of anonymity had a role in cyberbullying behavior (F = 10.264; df = 2.156; p <0.01). The effective contribution of the two independent variables to the dependent variable is 11.6% with each variable contributing 5.83% to the parent mediation variable and 5.78% the perception variable on anonymity.

The present study was undertaken to ascertain the leadership profile of secondary gifted students. Characteristics of leadership were based on earlier findings for adults who responded to the 16 Personality Factor Questionnaire. The High School Personality Questionnaire, an instrument based on the 16 PF, but normed for high school students, was administered to 181 secondary gifted students, all of whom had Full Scale IQs of at least 130. Comparing their profiles with those of adult leaders showed the gifted students scored higher on Factors B, intelligence; F, enthusiasm; and Q2, self-sufficiency. They scored lower on Factors G, conscientiousness and Q3, self-control.

This study aims to find out and analyze the factors that influence the decision of high school students in choosing universities in Batang Hari Regency. The object of research is STAI and STIE-GK Muara Bulian. This research is descriptive quantitative with the number of respondents as many as 75 students for each college which is the object of research registered in the 2018/2019 academic year. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research that aims to determine whether there is an influence or relationship between two or more variables with the analysis tools used include Partial Test (t test), Simultaneous Test (Test F), and Determination Coefficient Test (R2). The results of the study show that the independent variables include Study Program variables (X1), Accreditation Status (X2), Facilities (X3) and Costs (X4) on Student Decisions (Y). For STAI Muara Bulian, only Accreditation variables have a partial influence on student decisions and even then it is not significant. For STIE-GK Muara Bulian, it is known that all independent variables have a partial and significant influence on the decisions of high school students to enter. Judging from the F test, it is known that the independent variables simultaneously have an influence on the dependent variable in having a college in Batang Hari Regency. The test results of the coefficient of determination for STAI Muara Bulian amounted to 88.9% and for STIE-GK Muara Bulian at 95.3% while the remaining respectively 11.1% and 4.7% were influenced by other factors not included in the research variable.
