AbstractThe present article deals with issues of social recognition in the global and transnational environment. It deals with the issue of solidarity, a form of recognition that has no adequate parallel beyond nation state borders and manifests itself mainly in the transnational economy. We focus on the articulation of the extraterritorial recognition of social rights-holders at the international and transnational levels of justice. It is clear that conditions in developing countries do not allow the people there to express disapproval in ways that are typical for Western societies. We stress that states should strengthen their influence in global and transnational organizations and equally that the media should improve its informative role and should provide information on what is happening in developing parts of the world.

Terrorism is the talk of the world. It also occupies a larger part in the media and Islam receives relatively high attention compared to other religions. Islam, Muslims, particularly Arabs, in the eyes of the West, become the source of terrorism that gives the West an opportunity to launch a war against the countries which are accused of terrorism. It is, in fact, a war against radical Islam as they claimed. How do the western politicians, reporters, journalists and writers address terrorism in their official speech or literary works that reflect their vision and understanding of terror/terrorism? The present article addresses Amy Waldman’s The Submission, 2011, John Updike’s Terrorist, 2006, Joel Rosenberg’s The Last Jihad, 2002, and their vision of terrorism, its reasons and the people behind. The article concluded that the western narratives written during the controversial period of the post 9/11. 2001 came deeply influenced by the western media reports and the official statements about 9/11. Such narratives also created, but enrooted Islamophobia and anti- Muslim attitudes in the hearts of the westerners while the western narratives written lately showed more sympathy and rationality towards Muslim characters because the hidden facts of terrorism become exposed. The narratives showed that the western countries exaggerate in their reactions against terrorists/terrorism and the present research concluded that the West has taken precautionary steps to protect its interests and its allies in such countries accused of terrorism. The westerners make use of their domination upon the media to create negative and aggressive attitudes towards Islam/Muslims to blackmail the Islamic countries in the name of war on terrorism, and to secularize/westernize the different aspects of life in such Islamic countries. The narratives showed that war on terrorism is a war on Islam, particularly, radical Islam as claimed.

Abstract The Wukan Incident attracted extensive attention both in China and around the world, and has been interpreted from many different perspectives. In both the media and academia, the focus has very much been on the temporal level of the Incident. The political and legal dimensions, as well as the implications of the Incident in terms of human rights have all been pored over. However, what all of these discussions have overlooked is the role played by religious force during the Incident. The village of Wukan has a history of over four hundred years, and is deeply influenced by the religious beliefs of its people. Within both the system of religious beliefs and in everyday life in the village, the divine immortal Zhenxiu Xianweng and the religious rite of casting shengbei have a powerful influence. In times of peace, Xianweng and casting shengbei work to bestow good fortune, wealth and longevity on both the village itself, and the individuals who live there. During the Wukan Incident, they had a harmonizing influence, and helped to unify and protect the people. Looking at the specific roles played by religion throughout the Wukan Incident will not only enable us to develop a more meaningful understanding of the cultural nature and the complexity of the Incident itself, it will also enrich our understanding, on a divine level, of innovations in social management.

People use different promotional tools to promote their products and services so that other people come to know about those products and services and their benefits. For this promotion, both print and electronic media are very important tools nowadays. The world is on its peak, people are developed and have become modern thinkers and so did the media. The media has made it a point to the people of this world that we are your need and you will only develop more by using us and avoiding the media will prove harmful for you.It is worth noticing that participation and involvement of females in these promotional campaigns is also considered as very important. Whereas, females have nothing to do with the promotion of a product or service and the objectives of a promotional campaign can also be achieved without their involvement in it. Islam has given clear orders for females to cover themselves and appear modest at all times. The temptation of unnecessary involvement of females with males in social activities has been condemned in the teachings of Islam. In the light of these orders by Al Mighty ALLAH, the participation and involvement of females in the promotional campaigns of products and services will be totally against the spirit of Islam. This is because these promotional campaigns use a female's facial and physical beauty to sell a product or service, which spreads moral and ethical corruption in the society. Therefore, this is a condemnable act in the light of teachings of Islam and it must be avoided.

Vaccine considered as a boon for every individual across the world in the time of pandemic situation. India has developed its own vaccine which shows promising results. Receiving vaccine does not mean that we are completely immune to the disease. Covishield shows some rare but adverse side effects of blood clots in those people having thrombocytopenia. Covaxin has not recorded any such cases as it is of inactivated type. But, the manufacturers of the vaccine have not established the longevity of protection against COVID-19. Unavailability of vaccines in India could pose a serious impact on the lives of the people. Government of India and Medical authorities should take clinical trials and make decision on interchangeability of vaccines as soon as possible.

The study begins with a critical examination of two opposing, theories of nationalism. Next, the relationship between the State and nationalism in the form of the nation state is seen as a process of social formation during which a compromise is established between public and private elites, and the people: loyalty is exchanged for the right to participate in social rights. In the third part, the author considers the future of a number of Southern states in relation to the fundamentals of nation formation.

In Pakistan, like many other developing countries of the world, age distributions availabe from the decennial population censuses and sample surveys have shown substantial distortions and irregularities [2; 3; 4; 6, pp.64-75; 9, pp.638-658; 13; 14, pp.64-95]. Some of these distortions could be real and may have been the result of events such as the Bengal famine of 1943 and the post-Independence migration between India and Pakistan. Others could be due to the coverage and response problems encountered in the collection of age data. Among the coverage and response problems, two are of most importance: underenumeration of females and erroneous age-reporting. In countries like Pakistan, which have low literacy rates (19.2 per cent literates according to the 1961 Census of Pakistan), most of the people do not know their correct ages. As a result they tend to report their ages either in round numbers or instead ask the enumerators to write down whatever age they think proper. This pheno¬menon of reporting ages in round numbers is usually called "digital pre¬ference". As a result of this the single-year age distributions show distinct peaks and troughs at ages ending with certain digits.

The article examines the factors that build the image of the president of the Republic of Korea, such as the political course, communication with the people, the politician’s social circle, his hobbies, the lighting of information in the media, the political technologies, etc. Special attention is paid to the reaction of the Koreans and the world community upon the actions of Moon Jae-in. Have been compared the impressions made by Park Geun-hye and Moon Jae-in. The conclusion draws out that the image of Moon Jae-in has positive characteristic, which roughly contrasts with the previous president and improves the country’s image on the world stage. The attractive image of the political leader ensures its support by its citizens, giving him a “credit” and approval for the ongoing political reforms

Examining the recent trends in Sikh studies, the issue of academic freedom and religious authority has affected me on a most personal level. Readers may be aware of the controversy in the media over my doctoral thesis ("The Text and Meaning of the Adi Granth," University of Toronto, 1991) over the last few years. My unpublished thesis, filed at the University of Toronto library, was copied without my knowledge or authorization and circulated throughout the world. This led to a series of denunciations in letters and reviews in Sikh community newspapers, which accused me of committing blasphemy. The present article examines this controversy over scholarship on Sikh religion in the light of the historical situation of the recent past.
