The strategic planning of developing any information system is the key factor of progress any organization. Hence, SWOT (Strength, weakness, opportunities and threats) analysis for the strategic planning of developing information system has proved to be a good analysis tool for further development and progress of the universities/organization. Further, the implementation of computerized student information management system has become an important issue within the university campus to exchange such information between students and staff. Many studies have developed student information system through the converting of paper-based system to computer-based system in order to facilitate the work of staff. However, none of these studies focused on the development of such systems based on the strategic planning using SWOT technique. Therefore, this research focuses on the requirements needed to develop student information system based on the aforementioned strategic planning technique. Some universities located in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq have been tacking to do the investigation. Moreover, SWOT technique was selected to find strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of developing such system. The findings of this research were processed as matching strengths with opportunities and converting weaknesses or threats to strengths or opportunities. Based on the results, it has been found that the need to address student information systems is of utmost importance now more than ever in order to survive and continue in the competition environment.

The paper presents an overview of the expected role of spatial and environmental planning in coordination and integration with strategic planning for sustainable spatial/territorial, landscape and tourism development. The application of an integrated approach to sustainable territorial development planning and management in the European Union is also analyzed in the context of problems associated with and possibilities to enhance the European Landscape Convention and Agenda for a sustainable and competitive European tourism implementation. We have analyzed the contributions of reforms that have so far been implemented in current legislation and of planning bases to the establishment of coordinated sustainable territorial development planning and management in Serbia and to the procurement of support for the integration of sustainable tourism development and landscape planning and management into the process of spatial, environmental and sectoral planning. The approach to and problems of landscape protection and sustainable tourism development occurring in the practice in spatial planning are analyzed through examples of a new generation of spatial plans - the Spatial Plan of the Republic of Serbia, and a spatial plan of the special-purpose area for the Nature Park and Tourism Region of Stara Planina Mountain. Through the example of Mt Stara Planina, the role of strategic environmental assessment in coordination with spatial and sectoral planning is analyzed, as well as potential contribution to landscape integration and sustainable tourism development in the process of planning. The possibilities for better coordination of Serbian strategic planning in achieving the sustainable spatial and tourism development, and possibilities to integrate landscapes into the planning process are indicated.

In this regard, the tourism sector is actively developing in many countries with state support. The main purpose of the study is to analyze the prospects for the development of tourism in Karabakh. Purpose The objective of this research is to know the degree of influence that strategic planning (SP) exerts on the tangible and intangible results of business microenterprises in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Design/methodology/approach The methodological design was quantitative, explanatory, observational and cross-sectional, where a sample of 407 young leaders of microenterprises from the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, was obtained. To evaluate hypotheses, a structural equation model (SEM) was developed. Regarding the goodness and adjustment indices of the SEM, they were absolutely acceptable. Findings The results obtained through Pearson’s correlation show that there is a positive and significant relationship between SP and the tangible and intangible results of microenterprises. In addition, through the results obtained with the SEM model, it is statistically demonstrated that SP positively and significantly influences the tangible and intangible results of microenterprises in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Research limitations/implications In this research, only SP was valued as a variable that intervenes in the process of achieving tangible and intangible results to achieve the business objectives of entrepreneurial microenterprises in the state of Guanajuato. It is essential to point out that other variables that intervene in the process must be considered to generate tangible and intangible results. It is recommended to carry out further research under these variables to identify strategies for improving entrepreneurial microenterprises for their growth, sustainability and rapid positioning in a highly competitive market. Practical implications SP represents one of the tools to achieve the success of microenterprises through tangible and intangible results. However, microenterprises show a need to involve the use and application of SP to define clear indicators that contribute to obtaining satisfactory tangible and intangible results. Originality/value The findings are relevant and of great value, because there is currently not enough research that focuses on the variables analyzed, in this sense, SP and the tangible and intangible results of young entrepreneurial leaders of microenterprises in the Mexican context. The limitations of this study lie in the low participation and interest of young microenterprise entrepreneurs in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico.

Many Nigerians are unemployed and live in extreme poverty. The Nigerian government has therefore identified tourism as one of the promising sectors in its efforts to diversify the economy from the oil sector. CBT which is a kind of tourism that encourages environmental, social, cultural, and economic sustainability in communities could be a good model for addressing the socio-economic challenges confronting Nigeria. Based on literature derived from JSTOR, Google Scholar, and Emerald, this chapter draws implications from the inclusive pro-poor tourism planning in Uganda for CBT development in Nigeria.
